Alfresco BBQ with Side Burner

I purchased one of the Alfresco 4 from Barbecues Galore a year ago and have been impressed with it's performance. Good all round heat with a hood which allows you to slow cook roasts on a Sunday arvo. Cleaning and upkeep is a must as the stainless steel bar grills do brown and darken over time. A good purchase for the price I paid.

This is our second Alfresco BBQ having bought our 1st one about 15 years ago. The old one is still operational, just a bit daggy. This new model looks a lot more modern and took two of us about 1.5 hours to put together. The instructions were good and no parts where missing. One down side: No hot plate, only grills. So had to spend another $40 buying a cast iron hot plate. (but at $200 off I can't complain) Electronic ignition works well from the AAA battery supplied.

Looks great, easy to assemble however be aware it doesnt come with flat plates, $50 each extra. I purchased 2 so 2/3 were flat & 1/3 was grill. Sides are not stainless either, powder coated grey. Good cooking capabilities, works well. Large enough canopy for roasting things. Would have prefered the gas bottle concealed inside instead of off to the side though.

I purchased this BBQ in February of this year and so far it has served me well. I have put this BBQ to good use and my family is impressed with it as well. I will mention, however, that the removable drip tray can sometimes be a bit fiddly and hard to take out to clean, but aside from that I am happy with my purchase.

And every Sunday in summer sometimes more during the week we are using our new BBQ!!!
Actually think it's become the family BBQ and my family love the food it cooks along with being outside waiting for it

This BBQ performs well but has it's flaws.
Firstly there isn't a removable tray to place your fat soak in so fat, small bits of meat, onions etc falls to the bottom and is difficult to remove without first removing the burners.
Secondly fat accumulates on the rails that hold the plates in place. I've had a number of fat fires because of this.
Thirdly there's not enough space for a decent sized wok to fit on the wok burner.
I was fortunate to have purchased this on sale for $400 at Barbeques Galore because I don't think i'd pay more for it.

Brought this BBQ as a Father's day gift. For $400, this was a bargain or a BBQ that had some highly positive reviews. It was easy to assemble with a straight forward manual. Upon first use of BBQ, all the meat was cooked evenly. Perfect. Almost. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because some of the surface paint around the side burner was seared off during our first BBQ cook off. Close to perfect Barby otherwise!

its a great very good bbq...the plates are small but you can just get other ones if you want

Bought this during a sale and saved a bunch. Good effective BBQ. Cooks food evenly & quickly. Easy to clean and low maintenance. Happy with choice. Have not used for roast yet but will do soon. Worth the money spent. Side plate a bonus. Didn't think we'd use it but have.

Great power, great performance, strong and durable, amazing quality, great grilling and roasting. Perfect performance. Couldn't fault it. It has an amazing side hot plate which we use to stir fry and cook sauces. Easy to clean and regulates best brilliantly. For the $1000 price range worth every cent. I have made a few additions which has taken BBQ to whole new level
