I purchased the anova precision cooker from America after reading alllllll reviews . How disappointed I was when I received it in the mail. The plug didn't suit Aust 240v ( even though specified in order and blew up). They sent a replacement which had a uk plug on it,.....( which also didn't fit Australian voltage). Wait for this to come on sale as it regularly does, but even a 'full price' this is a great buy. Sold online from manufacturer.

Aside from being able to sous vide an awesome steak, you can:
- render fat for soap-making
- melt beeswax in a jar and not worry about anything catching fire or being burnt
- put a sealed container of dough in a water bath to rise (great for when its cold)
- cook pudding in jars
- put a container of milk + yoghurt culture in a water bath and set at a suitable temperature
- warm up bottles of sauces for ice-cream (hot chocolate fudge...caramel...mmm)
- make dulce de leche using tins of condensed milk without worrying about them exploding ...Read more

Saw a lot about Sous vide cooking on the web and after a lot of research decided to give it a go using the Anove Precision Cooker with wifi.
Purchased online through Anova culinary and order was shipped promptly and arrived at expected time. Packaging of the unit is excellent and the pieces easily slip back into the box for storage.

We use conventional cooking, slow cooking and the Anova PC. We are NOT chefs or wanna bes. We do appreciate quality food and HATE cleaning greasy pans.
We'd talked about sous Vide for FIVE years. All too expensive and taking up too much space. Then ANOVA and a few others started making controllers that you could clamp onto your own vessel. I've been using an older model (Anova One) for about three years, with daily usage. It served me well but died a few days back.

Sadly, customer support was terrible. Replies felt insincere and rushed. As if the person could not be bothered to do their job.

I had received a plug for the wrong country when I received it, but only recently realized it. When I raised this up, I was told the following (In order of replies):

1) It was not possible (Showed her picture)
2) International Plugs were only released in the newer models (The second unit I ordered at the same time got the international plug)
3) It is an international model. They could not really say if I was sent the wrong plug (I literally just showed it to them)

Ordered my Anova about six months ago as I wanted to replace a much larger and far more expensive unit that was taking up way too much bench space.

It is awesome.

I love the fact that I can experiment in different sized containers, doing hard-boiled eggs in a small pot, steaks in a medium and an entire leg of lamb in my big soup pot! I've even made my own limoncello in a few hours that was better than anything made over a few months, including store-bought bottles.

I was given an Anova Sous Vide for Christmas 2016. I was broken by 15 Jan 2017. I used it 3 times.
When given it I read reviews and how to use it on multiple sites and it was the best sous vide out there, with rave reviews. I was optimistic when trying it out. I have not seen the cooking shows on TV that show its uses so it was a whole new world for me.

I really regret shopping with Anova. I ordered the Anova Precision Cooker in advance on 4 December 2016 thinking that I would receive it before Christmas for a gift. When I made the order, it provided an arrival date of 20-23 December 2016.

When I contacted the company on 13 December to follow up, I was told that it would not ship until 19th December and that I should wait 48 hours for a shipping link.

I was not sent this link until 23 December only after I contacted Anova, and the tracking reference provided by the company did not work....Read more

Tried our new Anova Sous Vide Precision Cooker last night with some lamb tenderloin chops and OMG - beautiful results. So easy to use - sync with my phone for recipes and time/temp guidelines and hit "go" and the unit starts heating/circulating the waterbath for the food. Place the food in ziplock bags and remove all air possible before sealing - clip to side of pot and walk away.
