Outdated design with modern internals
I purchased the iPad Mini 5 mainly for media consumption, and to use at uni for notes (which won't be happening at the moment due to COVID-19). While the design is outdated (it looks virtually identical to all 4 previous models), the specs inside are more than adequate for my intended use cases. It has an A12 Bionic processor (same as iPhone XS/XR), Apple Pencil support and a True Tone display. Some people might say "you could always use your iPhone to watch video", but the aspect ratio is way better on the Mini.
The only thing stopping me fr...Read more
om plugging it into my 28" monitor is no second screen support (the iPad is only mirrored when connected to an external display), and not being able to re-route the audio to the iPad's speakers when connected to the display. Hopefully this is something Apple will address with iPadOS 14 in September. Time will tell... While the camera is fine for scanning documents and the like, I wouldn't recommend it for a full time photography device (who takes photos with their iPad anyway). The only negatives that are apparent to me are the outdated design (but it is by no means a deal breaker considering the cheaper price), and the lack of true monitor support. Battery life is phenomanal! I use my iPad all day (mostly for media consumption), and it still has between 40-60% charge at the end of the day.Purchased in April 2021 at JB Hi-Fi Online Store for $599.00.

Outdated design disguises beastly little iPad
The iPad mini 1,2,3,4 & 5 literally look exactly the same. The battery is hardly bigger than 2020's best smartphones at 5124mah. The rear camera is pretty poor as well. It only has 3GB of ram.The bezels are huge and annoying. I could go on......
But the display is GORGEOUS, to say the least. It's sharp, still bigger than any smartphone and high-res. The mini 5 uses a beastly A12 SoC, which is the same processor that powers the iPhone XR,XS, and XS Max. Fun fact: The iPad Mini 5 beats them all performance-wise (check AnTuTu!). a classy look, and somehow disguises the ugly bezels. And the battery, while being small for a tablet, lasts a LONG time, because of Apple's wonderful optimization. Also, it's cheaper than you might expect, at $599 AUD for the base model. Overall, despite some little nit-picky flaws, the iPad Mini 5 is the best sub 8 inch tablet EVER! It's also better than the Tab S5e by a long shot. I would even as it's as good as the Microsoft Surface Go.Purchased in December 2021 at Harvey Norman for $539.00.

Great Easy iPad
this iPad is good as it is new, small, lightweight and easy to travel with. I like taking this iPad away with me as it is bigger than my phone to work on and watch tv on.

Great tablet for multipurpose usage
I use this iPad mainly for university. It is small, easy for me to carry around. I could just bring a small bag with me around! Its battery is also excellent, more than enough to last me for a day worth of uni. It is also equipped with Apple's A12 Bionic Processor, which makes the processing speed faster. However the camera is does not take the best pictures but it is sufficient for taking pictures from slideshows and generally everything else. This iPad mini is compatible with the Apple Pencil (1st Gen) and it makes everything easier for me to make notes and sketch.

Great little tablet. It's fast, lightweight, looks good and easy to use. It's very portable so I can take it out with me and the battery life is good. The screen makes everything - photos/videos look great.

Apple ipad mini 5 64GB exceeds my expectations
I was looking for a small, lightweight tablet to use on an overseas trip and after a lot of research chose the Apple ipad mini 5. I decided the non cellular ipad was the best value as I could use my iPhone to hotspot wifi. I have been delighted with the photo results using this device.

Tiny monster with excellent battery life
iPad Mini 5 is the best iPad in the market for parents, kids and seniors. All my apps works very smoothly. Thanks for Apple's A12 Bionic processor and 3GB RAM.
Gorgeous Retina display supports first generation Apple Pencil. Excellent front camera for selfies and video calls. Stereo speakers' sound quality is more enough for songs and movies.
Purchased in May 2021 at Officeworks Online store for $597.00.
