Classic iPhone

published

Not overall impressed with the camera, Samsung definitely has a better camera. But Apple has more app varieties and easily links up to other Apple products. Runs smoothly but there are a lot of updates all the time. The battery does run out pretty quickly but it does charge fast which is handy.

Perfect size and running system

published

Yes I am an Apple user, and have been for years so I am somewhat bias, however this is once of the best models they have released. Cheaper than the iphone X, with an equally powerful software system, great screen size. Perfect for the everyday user. Also the great camera

Great

Easy to use, and always easy to update and replace with new models to keep all my data and info accessible. Love the ability to save my passwords and log in to any app easily. Siri update is great and always understands. Model looks sleek and smooth and modern and good size.

Great phone

published

Always had an Iphone and upgraded from the Iphone 6S to the Iphone 8.
I wanted to upgrade as I wanted to be able to charge the phone without a cable and upgrade the camera, which the Iphone 8 has introduced. I was a little hesitant with the Headphone jack being removed however this is not an issue with the little adapter that you get with the phone.
Battery holds it charge for longer which is a bonus. Happy with the Iphone 8 and the apple brand.

Nice phone

published

Received this as a gift and very impressed with it. Definitely an improvement over my old phone. The iOS is simple to learn and a joy to use, I don't think I'll ever go back. Was never a fan of Mac computers but now I'm an iPhone user for life!

Terrific phone

published

I previously had the iPhone 5 which was a good phone, but have upgraded to the iPhone 8 in October. The camera quality is terrific and I’ve been able to take wonderful pictures I holidays without lugging around a large or extra camera. The battery life is also much longer as is the storage being a 64gb phone - would definitely recommend

Favourite phone so far

published

Incredibly easy to use and runs very smoothly. Very fast processing time and camera takes amazing photos. Wireless charging is a life saver at times! Only thing I don’t like is the headphone port being gone and having to use the adapter but that’s a small disadvantage for an otherwise incredible phone!

Beautiful iPhone!

published

This phone is possibly the greatest thing I’ve ever purchased in my entire life.
I bought the iPhone 8 64GB in space grey and it’s got a beautiful glass back, a lovely display and so much more.
The rear camera shows so much more colour than previous iPhones I’ve had, along with structure. The front facing camera is also great, showing so much more vividness as well.
The apps run amazing and fast to get what you need done quickly.
Storage is great, a big upgrade from my iPhone 6s. Thank you apple!

Smarter than me!

published

May have got 5 stars but I'm only one-day post-purchase! It's lightweight with an easy to read, sensitive screen and keyboard. It's small enough to hold with one hand. With Telstra got a 'show bag' of goodies which included glass protector, pad charger, holder and car charger. The apps run smoothly and the GPS works well. I hope it will accommodate a square reader a question no-one could answer at the Telstra shop. If it doesn't I may have to use one of the bank apps.

Excellent

published

The camera quality is very good, the display of brightness is also good. I use my mobile for for safari a lot and I can’t complain and the apps run very smoothly. I also talk a lot on my IPhone 8 64gb and the battery lasts for ages! I found with the other iPhones I’ve had the battery does not last long at all especially for the prices of the iPhones! Very happy with the purchase of my IPhone 8. I would highly recommend.

It works great always runs smoothly doesn’t freeze and I love the unlock key it is so easy to use I don’t have to type my pin every time which is great because it still has high security and if anyone else uses my phone there is still a pin option the phone is very durable and works great with apps.

iPhone 8 is great, mate

published

My iphone8 costed around 1k, as I bought it outright. The phone has a very fast processor and apps run smoothly. The screen seems to be a lot more durable than my iphone6. The camera is decent, takes quality photos but at night time the quality seems to drop a lot. The sound quality of Youtube and Spotify is amazing. I am happy with my phone.

love it

The high resolution screen and the phone being splash resistant are definitely some of the features I love about the phone. its quick and easier than before! I don’t think the 128GB is necessary for most people as I only have the 64GB with thousands of photos on it and lots of apps and it is nowhere near close to the maximum 64GB.

Worth the money?

published

Upgraded to the iPhone 8 from an iPhone SE, so a definite improvement; the speakers are a lot better, the OS seems more stable, I appreciate the extra storage and it looks OK. The battery doesn't seem to last as long, although the upside it is VERY quick to charge.
My family have various Samsungs and Google Pixels, and one has the iPhone X, so I can sort of compare this against them. I think the Samsung particularly has a few extra features at less cost, and the Pixel integrates more smoothly with a lot of apps; I don't think the X is worth the extra.
The 8 is fine, but f I wasn't already in the Apple 'ecosystem' with an iMac and a MacBook, I think I would be inclined to give another brand a try.

Expected more

published

Trying to keep this short.
This phone is pretty much like my iphone 6s. I think I expected more for $1000. The camera is a tad better than the 6s and I have to say the speakers are good for a mobile phone. sot's splash resistant which is good. But other than that I'm a bit disappointed.

Paying that much money and you don't even get the wireless headphones. This means you cant listen to music and charge your phone at the same time as you could with the older models. I feel you don't get much for the money.

For $450 you can get the HUAWEI Mate which is cheaper and much better than iphone. Guess thats why it's forbidden in the states.

Next time I am buying a phone it will be Android. Apple is outdated and passé.

Excellent purchase

published

Highly recommended and appreciated.
Excellent quality. Smoothly switches apps. For messages and calling works awesome. Not regretting that spends too much on it. I use this phone every second like messaging calls. My kids using this for watching videos and playing games.
Little disappointed with battery life. It is not as mentioned in the apple website as I am charging my device three four times a day.

Good phone

published

Good phone, nothing much different to the past model it would seem however. I find that there are a few things that activate automatically which I am not a huge fan off. The glass backing makes me nervous of breaking that as well as the front screen. The lack of headphone jack makes things a little annoying when you need to charge but also use headphones.

Always love my apple phones!!!

Apple has never let me down.
I use my camera all the time and the quality is sensational. Even better then my Canon camera I brought especially for photography. The ID feature is pretty nifty too.
They must of upgraded the processor in it too because apps load lightning fast.

A satisfied customer

Absolutely loving the camera on the iPhone 8 and all apps runs smoothly. The rose gold color option was a bonus on top of everything else. It is not the latest iPhone model but really it is just as good as I cannot find anything to fault about the phone so far after 5 months of usage.

Apple keeps on surprising ya with new things every year, the iPhone 8 give me a large screen and it sits in my hands perfectly, the apple system however crashes and the phone freezes, this happens a lot throughout the lifetime of these phones but they always get resolved sooner or later
