Dear Sirs
My D5456 XL is suddenly not washing the dishes properly. Done all the cleaning specified in the manual, new detergent, different program - nothing seems to help. Any help?
Our machine is doing the same thing as above. At the end of the cycle, the dishes have food spots on them and there is scunge at the bottom near the filter. I have also noticed that the centre and top...
Read more spray arms dont turn during the early part of the cycle. Is this normal? (sorry to hijack your post Stephen and good luck). :)You would have it sorted now but ours was doing the same. It was a faulty pump which wasn't pumping enough water through to spin the spray arms. 150km trip to repair (rural NSW) then $370 repair job.
My new Asko D5456SS (bought on 24.10.2018) has somehow become set on child lock and all attempts at releasing it have been futile. I cannot start the dishwasher without pressing the 'HIgh temperature' and 'Long dry' buttons simultaneously. I have tried leaving the machine switched off in the hope that it would reset - to no avail. This problem seems to be more complex than I expected. Any help?
I have the same problem, followed the manual instructions, no avail then tried a complete factory reset, but couldn't get past the child lock to do it., did you find an answer?
Hi.
I'm wondering what is the depth of this dishwasher?

and click specifications
The Asko dishwasher fits under a kitchen bench and in a 60cm x60 cm space.
The dimension specifications are in the product brochure so interested consumers Chan measure and check the position for the dishwasher before purchasing .
Can anyone tell me how to program my asko dishwasher d5456XL how can I get a cycle for 30 mins on eco or normal wash. Terrible instructions book. My Bosch was easy to operate this really difficult
Can anyone tell me if the D5456 has a shorter cycle than 2:20 minutes? This replaced our D3122 which gave us many years of great service. I wanted the model below this but being in rural NSW the only option immediately available was the D5456. This is the 4th ASKO product we've purchased but I am so disappointed with this dishwasher overall. Thanks.
Yes. I use the daily wash with extra drying time and it takes 1.49. I previously had a D 3??? series and I believe it was a much better machine. Didnt have these stupid plastic things to position the ...
Read moreracks and you could fit thicker dishes in the outerside of the bottom rack. Just trying to find out what actual temp they was at these days so I can put a cleaner through my machine. Thanks Marg. Also dislike the unnecessary tall 'handle' on the front of the lower tray - only proves an obstruction to the cutlery basket. I find I am washing up in the sink more often as a saucepan t...
Read morehat has cooked cauliflower or a plate that has only had toast on it simply doesn't need 2 hours dishwashing. I see program temp minimums from 48-60 degrees to maximums 60-70? Good luck!Is there anyway to remove food particles from the spray arm? I'm also getting grit like particles in glass on the top rack. Thanks
I haven't had this problem but I always make sure all food particles are scraped off before putting in dish washer
I've been a big fan of Asko dishwashers since I bought my first one in 1980 (I've had three since then). Though I have to say I'm less pleased with this one (which I bought about 3 or 4 years ago) than the previous models I've had. It's a bit noisier than I would have liked (very hard to test this before you buy) and it's only started cleaning really well since I've been using tablets.
The reason I'm writing is that somehow my machine seems to be stuck on child lock (at least I think that's what's happened) - when I turn it on the LED shows up LOC, and I can't get it to start (or even select a program). The only way I can get it to work (fortunately) is. to keep tapping on the two buttons at the bottom (extra drying and heat) and after a while one of them turns off - which means I've somehow temporarily released the child lock and I can get it to start. But it's a fiddle and hardly ideal! Is there some way I can permanently turn off the lock function?
Hey Rich,
Im not to sure about how to help you out because i've never come across this issue. ...
Read more My only thought would be to turn it off at the power point and maybe that will reset it. Best of luckI would like to buy this model but in higher size.
Is this possible & how high would my kitchen bench have to be to clear it?
My bench is 865 tile to under bench
The product specification information will tell you this. The foot plates at the base of the machine do allow some adjustment. I suggest you visit a store and measure it. All the best.
Hi Waddy. I believe that model only comes in one height - 82cm.
According to the installation instructions the adjustable feet on the bottom of the unit can be adjusted to accommodate a recess heigh...
Morning, I'm still undecided as to whether my new asko (purchased mid year) has won me over. I've come from a cheap dishlex and thought spend more and get a great product but so far i seem to be always cleaning out my spray arms (using lots of water in the process, getting corn pieces out ), the dishes are sometimes covered in cream residue. I'm wondering if washing by hand may get me a cleaner dish, as i'm putting dishes through umpteen times to get them clean. Am i doing something wrong, is there something wrong with my machine?? I would hate to have to sell and buy something else, but at this point that's the way i'm heading.
i'm no expert, but I've never come across a dishwasher that can handle corn kernels. Your old one must have been magic. I always scrape bits off my dishes prior to washing and when that cream residue ...
Read morestarts I put through a cleaning cycle with a select brand dishwasher cleaner to remove the build up of fats and scale (about every 4 months). I've never had a problem with my ASKO (had it for about 12 months now) and I only ever have to clean the filter if the kids haven't scraped properly. I use about 2/3 of the amount of powder recommended on the packet. I just use any old powder that happens to be on special. I'm not sure this is helpful. Thanks Morrissey, thanks for your feedback, but i was referring to the filter system allowing particles i.e corn to get into the spray arms. Never had that problem before. The particles have always just ended up in the filter.
I have an Asko D3121 dishwasher that has been great performer up until today. It won't stop (draining). The power button and the stop/start don't work. The only to turn it off is by up plugging the power.
Any assistance will be gratefully appreciated.
Hi Their,
Kindly first turn it off from the mains, also turn off water taps before checking for anything. Secondly with this issue one of the possible reasons could be a blocked Dr...
Read moreain, you can check the filters inside the machine and the drain pipe (if you have access to checking it) If there is a blockage, clear it and after clearing it leave the machine turned off for 24 to 48 hrs to see if the water internal dries out and the machine starts working again. If this doesn't work you will need a tech to attend.
