A 2 blanket quilt will be fine

I have the 2 for hubby and 3 for me. We're in Melbourne and sleep with the window open every night. We don't get really really cold I think the coldest night is around 1-2 degrees. I can honestly say I'm toasted with the 3. I am 48 so probably a few hot flushes help...
If you're a really cold person then get the 4 but they are they warmest quilt ever.

I have purchased the 2blanket queen quilt for myself and son
and the 3blanket for my daughter. The 2b are perfect however my daughter tells me that the 3b is super super warm so that sometimes she is too hot. Would guarantee these quilts any day. Would stick with the 2b .

Hi Winnie, we had the same problem with a Bambi wool doona purchased at Forty winks and brought it back. They said it must be a manufacturing problem. I think it could be a health risk.

Hi - as I recall yes it wasn't too bad - i mean in a hot summer you're likely to be kicking it off or using a lighter weight doona if at all, but the wool definitely doesn't have you sweat like some other donnas can... We bought it more for a nice warm winter weight (3 i think), so yeah good overall :-)

I bought a winter weight 4 - but I find it is much better at regulating heat than a feather doona - so even on warmer nights I'm not sweating. I imagine for summer you would want a lighter weight quilt - but that wool would be a better choice, than other quilt fill types.

Hi Deborah, I couldn't say sorry as I have only bought the 4 blanket thickness. My little girl has a 4 blanket thickness single doona and I have her heater on over Winter at 19 degrees, and that seems good for her. She doesn't complain of being cold, and isn't sweaty either.

I suggest you give them a call and have a chat - Marilyn was really helpful in choosing the right thickness. My child's room is about the same temp as yours and I bought a 1 thickness. I also have flannelette sheets + cotton blanket on his bed during the colder nights. The only nights my son gets cold is when he kicks his blankets off.

I have spoken with Marilyn and ordered a 2..hopefully it will be just right!
