Noise destroys ambience
The compressor and fan are so loud that I have to turn it off most of the time and especially when entertaining. Runs continuously on Eco even on cold days.
Purchased in February 2021 at Bar Fridges Australia Shop for $1,493.00.

When out of warranty you are on your own
Had a GSP1H from late 2012 which was used only a few times until late 2016 and then it only lasted 18 months before the compressor gave up and the cost of replacement was well in excess of $1,100.00 - actually nearly the same price as a new fridge!!!. Bar Fridges Australia were not interested in helping and just kept referring to the warranty having expired and certainly gave a very unprofessional/uninterested response to my phone calls.

eplaced at 2 months of age by Bar Fridges Australia but when the replacement one went rusty and was reported to them, it was out of warranty! Be prepared to wipe up the rust under the hinge regularly. What a shame, such a nice looking and functional fridge but now going to the tip!2 comments

Graeme, we need to know who you spoke to, because your email makes 100% no sense at all, if you rang us you would have been looked after and helped, we 100% help everyone even when years out of warran... Read more
ty. What is your contact number? or can you start a dialogue with Monique in service at email [email protected] The Rhino GSP have been the best units on Oz market for alfresco since 2009, we have 1000's of positive reviews, on the toughest review site, Feefo, with all positive comments, and over 15,0000 units in market, so your email shocks the hell out of all of us here at BFA!! All i can think is you rang when we were using a 3rd party service provider (who do Harvey Normans Work), that we have since ditched because of things like this, that would explain it as it sounds more like the way the big corporates treat clients. THAT IS NOT US.After writing this review, a Rhino Official contacted me and after a number of emails, we agreed to give the company another go! Without doubt, Rhino make one of the best domestic bar fridges availab... Read more
le and we are now trying out the latest stainless steel version and hope that our rust problem will be no more. We also have additional warranty on the compressor unit to be on the safe side. Maybe client communication could be improved, but do appreciate what you have done for us. Thank you.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Can't fault it!
We had a false start with another outdoor fridge and ended up buying a Rhino. It looks great, keeps drinks really cold and it has an energy saving mode which is great. We often have neighbourhood BBQs and this fridge (the single door version) has a surprisingly large capacity - plenty of room for lots of drinks and food. I just love it!

Stupid question but just got this bar fridge installed in my outdoors alfresco do you turn it off after use or do you leave it running all year round?

it's like a normal fridge, you leave it running if you want cold drinks. If you turn it off then drinks can 'spoil', but if you are not using it much, just use the "ECO" button (Hold 'ES' for 4 seconds), it changes the operation to cool 5-10oC instead of 0-4oC, so it keeps drinks still ok and saves energy. The units are the lowest energy consumption on market anyway. Hope that helps. If your worry is 'noise level' we do have quiet fan upgrade options, so let us know if that is the case, email [email protected] and Monique or Damian will assist.

Hi it's Monique from Bar Fridges Australia. Yes the internal fan does run all the time to keep your beers nice and cold. Feel free to call me on 03 5337 6399 or email me on [email protected] if you have any further queries :)
Theres also an economy mode that I use from time to time - the fan won't work as hard during this mode but the temperature will sit a little higher.
Thank you Monique for your prompt attention 1st class. One other question as this fridge is one of many fridges I have, when the Rhino is not needed in my alfresco can it be switched off from the front or do I need to pull the fridge out from under the bench and switch the power off from the power point. Kind regards Dick.

Be handy if you contact us before you spray the product on a 3rd party review site. The units are made to work in hot ambient, alfresco, lowest energy consumption on the market, it clearly states you ... Read more
will hear running and that it is like a convection oven. We have quiet fan upgrade options, which make them much less noise, you just lose a little in cooling speed. If you want a quiet glass door fridge we have many options, we specialize in this. Contact the service team if you want some options, [email protected] Cheers. Cory - Managing Director
