THEY ARE NOT WHAT THEY SAY
I gave Bared the opportunity to respond to my concerns but they ignored me so here it is. My wife and I have bought (i counted the boxes) 20 pairs. Recently i took one of my pairs to a cobbler to re soul the pair of Aluminium black shoes where the whole upper separated from the outer sole and to my surprise i was told they definitely DO NOT use a Blake Stitch, in fact the stitch is fake. Not impressed with fake stitches and fake advertising. I will not buy pair 21.

ory. I accept your explanation that the men's line of shoe is constructed with a Blake stitch however clearly something has gone wrong with my particular pair. Excellent depending on leather type
I have purchased a number of pairs of Bared Shoes. My favourite pair are the Brolga in black suede leather. Just be careful if you chose the patent leather. I purchased the same shoes (Brolga) in the plum patent in July. I tried to wear them again the other day. They are excruciating as the leather does not give at all.

Nice shoes, but not unique and Bared customer service is terrible when faced with legitimate concerns
Tried to purchase during a sale, and the site allowed me to put in my credit card details 3 times without completing the sale. While blaming a third party vendor who took my credit card details and whom Bared eventually admitted had taken multiple payments from some customers, Bared customer service repeatedly passed on false, misleading and eventually insulting information in some pretty childish attempts to deal with legitimate concerns about the way they run themselves. fairly significant success story and I really can't see why they can't afford to get their website up to scratch. Regardless, it eventually emerged Bared does not hold an item in the purchaser's cart long enough to complete the purchase, so they are literally setting themselves up for problems like I experienced, especially during a sale. When I said that I didn't trust the site or the way Bared handles money, some passive aggressive manager actually told me they WERE going to offer me a complimentary pair of shoes (but not anymore)! Honestly, it was the most childish thing any company has suggested ever in the history of marketing, or at least one would hope. I had never asked them for anything, btw, they never had offered me anything, and frankly it was insulting to be told that my concerns about doing business with Bared online had somehow caused them to withdraw an offer they had never even made. One of these days, Bared may fix their site and the shoes are good quality. I agree there's always something a bit odd about the way they fit, but I liked them. I suspect the footbeds are not really a completely unique design, since other vendors now offer something almost identical. Nevertheless, my feet have gone up a 1/2 size and I was actually considering replacing my favourite pairs, but I won't do business with Bared anymore over their childish management issues, and I really don't trust their website which I must use because I live interstate. My hope is that Bared realises they're not making money by losing long-term customers, so I suppose I have motive for the very low rating. I do feel insulted. To others, though: Bared did double down on the idea that it's somehow 'too expensive' to hold items in a cart long enough to enter your card details, so if you're still advised that the items aren't being held in the cart, be advised the site will also give you no warning the shoes you're purchasing are not actually available for purchase, it will take your card details, and Bared management will probably act like children rather than give you enough information to check with their third party money handler, or even the details that show up on the bank statement. That info took a whopping 11 emails to obtain, and Bared took every step imaginable to avoid forwarding it.2 comments

As mentioned in the emails we’ve shared over the last week or so, Bared has invested an enormous amount of time and money in our website, and prior to this sale we were assured by our third party payment portal that it would be able to handle large volumes of traffic online. We had thousands of people online at the time our sale started, and our payment portal stopped functioning as it attempted to process 1000 payments in seconds. The payment portal acknowledges that it was their servers that couldn’t process the traffic. For us, having a situation occur on such a large scale that was completely out of our control was truly devastating most significantly because if affected our customers, including you, so negatively. We have privately sent to you the details of our payment portal account manager. She is happy to add to our assurance there was no compromise to your security or personal information at any point. Around cart reservation, we apologise for any confusion you may have experienced over this. We try to make customers as aware as possible of this, by noting “Items in your basket are not reserved and may sell out at any time” both at the top of the shopping cart itself, and in our FAQs section. The sale was an end of season sale, with stock being cleared for all our new winter styles, so some items were low in stock even at the start of the sale. We do acknowledge that some websites hold styles in your cart but ours is not one of them. Please note this was not our intention and we would never want to let anyone down. Shoes are nice but not nice enough to excuse poor customer service
I’ve ordered with Bared 3 times over the past few years. Every time the shoes were lovely to look at and comfy but cut into my ankles so badly I bled. Still I persevered and ended up wearing them infrequently.
I decided to give them another shot and purchase shoes during a sale. I set my alarm and asked my boss to have a specific lunch break to be able to get in quick and buy before they were all sold. wasn’t working. I was very anxious, refreshing my bank account so many times to check I hadn’t been overcharged. Upon investigating on Instagram I saw heaps of other people had the same issue and I knew that YET AGAIN Bared had not prepared themselves for a sales event. This happens so frequently with Bared. They need better IT support or something or some kind of improvement plan because they just don’t seem to learn!!!!!! I wasted my time trying to buy shoes from them and when I vocalised my opinion in polite terms on Instagram I was messaged a series of bullying messages from their customers accusing me of saying things I never even said. Needless to say, never shopping with them again and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to shop with them unless you want hit and miss customer service and insecure purchasing systems. Great shoes amazing customer service
I was hesitant buying shoes online. 20% off So I ordered the ones I loved for my wedding.
2 day later I got a call that they didnt have the size I wanted, my shoes were lost. I said they were for my wedding, customers service was amazing, offered to send me 6 different pairs of shoes, express post to try on! If I didnt like them would do a a full refund.
2 hrs later got another call, they had found my shoes!!! They arrived 1 day later! They are amazing I love them! Thank you !!!!

I have 10 pairs of shoes from bared, and honestly would be hard pressed to buy shoes anywhere else. They look amazing and are so comfortable. On top of that the staff at the Armadale store are absolutely unbelievable, and just go above and beyond to help.

Good for heel pain but both pairs fallen apart in under 12 months and only wear to work
I have purchased twice from bared l, as I podiatrist I wanted to show people that good comfy shoes dont have to be ugly. They are comfortable and help with the heel pain I sometimes get however, I find the straps too long and both pairs the soles have started to peel off. Im only getting 6-12 months wear out of them and I only wear them to work (part time) I also just came back from maternity leave so didnt wear them at all for 7 months. I probably wont purchase again as I had another brand of work shoes for about 3 years that stayed together, for the price I expected them to last much longer than they have.

Really recommend them
I have purchased a few (6) pairs of shoes from Bared now. They are so easy to purchase from online, super helpful customer service has always helped me with sizing and when I've had any issues with quality - they have resolved them really well. I love the different fit options to make sure they are right.

Great shoes for cruising and travelling
Loving my black sparrow wedges. Great shoes to travel with and perfect for cruising. Very comfortable for dancing and long walks. Also easy shoes to pop on and transition from casual to dressy.

6 months in... the soles started to fall apart
The shoes are very comfortable, no issues there.
But, after having used them for roughly six months, the soles started to fall apart. Seriously, guys, you don't make $200+ shoes that last for less than a year. This didn't happen to any other of my shoes from other brands.
Unfortunately, can't recommend unless Bared makes them more durable.

Received a prompt refund from the store. Give their shoes a go, I might have been unlucky with my particular pair.

Poor quality and customer service
I've bought high heels from Bared and was stunned by its quality. Made of actual fabric (leather lined) it doesn't give you a long-wear (which I would expect from $250 shoes) and had stitches poorly done.
The customer service is what makes me say that I'll never shop with Bared again. Take a week to reply, instead of helping with a refund try to sell more and generally don't seem at all keen to help.
The fact that they don't do refunds was also poorly advertised on their website, so I only found out about it when it was too late. Such a waste of my time and money!

Brilliant service, great shoes!
I have purchased nearly 20 pairs of Bared Shoes over the past few years at the Armadale Store. The range of shoes is excellent and they have helped my back issues immensely - so much that I do not wear any other shoes now.
Special mention needs to go to Adam - his service and knowledge is amazing. He is an example of what brilliant customer service can be.

Customer Service serious issue for the company
My friend took me to the City store.
She wanted to buy her second pair of the shoes, and was given a pair just to try for size and after measuring my foot I was given the pair I wanted. The shoes were too big. When I pointed that to the sales person she just shrugged her shoulders, saying that was my size and walked away. I thought she had gone to bring another size.

Best Customer Service I've Ever Experienced
VERY Happy!!
Despite being a super busy period for Bared and their upfront communications about potential delays, my order was packed, shipped, and delivered well ahead of schedule. When the first pair didn't fit properly, they happily + promptly sent out multiple alternatives for me to try at no extra cost.
Customer service like this takes effort to perfect, and completely alters customers' experiences. Should be a lesson to other online retailers.
And the shoes I received fit perfectly, look amazing and are the most comfortable pair of heels I've ever tried. I'll happily pay a little extra for this kind of quality, comfort and service in the future.
