Bought the tv about two and a half years ago, worked perfectly fine until the other day when I turned it on to have no picture but sound ok. Turned it off and in again and half the screen was very dark but had picture. Next time it was turned off and on was the last time we saw anything. I think 2.5 years for $900 is a bit poor.

This ALDI 58 Inch Ultra HD LED TV has a lovely screen ( when it works) as already mentioned the sound is fair. BUT after 2 1/2 years lost screen ( BLACK) only sound! Called Tempo Group who tell me "Not now under warranty cannot assist!" Sorry a $899 TV lasting just 2 1//2 years is unacceptable. Not happy so now contacted ALDI by e-mail to seek their assistance. Not taking "NO" for an answer. BEWARE This BAUHN TV is a dud

You get what you pay for. Bought this TV for $899. Picture was good, sound awful and was never a smart TV as advertised. Like everyone is saying, worked great for two years and bang... Black screen, no picture, only sound. Rang Bauhn tempo service and no I'm not spending a cent to repair it. Going out to buy an LG or Hisense today for not much more. Will I buy anything from ALDI AGAIN? No of course not.
Update : to Aldi's credit they have organised a partial refund of $600 which I am okay with.

Bought the 58" 4K Ultra High Definition LED LCD Smart TV from Aldi. Just about 3 months later the TV started with issues. Sometimes it takes few minutes before the pic appears after switched on. Does not happen all the time. Just outside warranty, then it would loose pic (keep audio going) for anything to 10 minutes at a time and then just comes back on. Was informed by Aldi it is outside its 12 months warranty.... I got that fixed but the issue of taking time to show pic when switched on, still happens every time. Next call will be taking it to the tip. Good buy, no, no!

Great picture in high definition but ordinary otherwise. Very poor sound, benefits greatly from a soundbar. Does not come with many apps, so need to use a media player set-top box, like an apple tv or roku, for easy access to netflix.
Was reasonably satisfied with it, but broke down after 4 months, and was eventually allowed a refund after 5 weeks of waiting for parts for repair.
Questions & Answers
Our TV has been working well, but this morning it would not turn on. We have checked everything, disconnected and reconnected it and still it won't turn on. One would expect a longer life than from a TV than four years
When I switch the TV on standby light comes on I push the button the blue light comes on, the picture comes on then no picture? Could someone please tell me what could be the problem

I should add initially I was told a repair would cost me a service fee plus parts. I was not happy and said No. After some contemplation and time I decided to investigate my rights. I rang Aldi head o...
Read moreffice and explained the situation. They were fantastic. Tempo called me back within the hour. Offered to look and the TV and repair it at no cost with a 3 month guarantee. I said no thanks because if it breaks down again I wont be happy. Offered a 60% refund which I negotiated to a flat refund of $600. So, I probably would consider an Aldi product given the after sales service and help offered once I dug my heels in.
