It was good for a while

This is the second Bissell carpet cleaner I have purchased and the second one that has lasted me just over a year. With two kids and two dogs I use it weekly, but it should still last longer. It was great at first, but now I can smell the motor burning out, which is disappointing. If you only need it for a little while or to use infrequently I’m sure it’s fine, but if you need it more often, go for something else.

My machine did not collect any of the dirty carpet water back up. It worked fine the in the first use. Checked everything and all was fine. Why did this happen and what needs to be done???

I personally don't believe that there is anything you can do to fix the machine. I have taken mine to two different repair shops and they both said don't bother it isn't worth it . The chances are it will cost a fortune.
