Fitted yesterday and so far so good

published

Fitted yesterday.

Cameras and app seem to work well. Ability to modify settings easy enough. I chose to operate my cameras without lights as they are apparently a theft risk. So I've switched off all LED lights which no longer distracts me white driving and makes it very subtle.

The front camera sits behind the rear view mirror so I can not see it other than for the wire connecting into the roof lining.

Seems very well presented and solid.

Only negative is it looks like it picks up my bad singing LOL

Awesome Dashcam - Excellent Video Quality.

published

I tried afew cheaper dashcams over the years. One thing I can say from experience is spend a little extra and get a quality unit, you'll be way ahead in the long run.

Took the plunge on the DR750S-2CH after discussing my options with a guy at SPORTGPS (forgot his name) who was pretty helpful and knew their stuff. Apprehensive at first but boy am I glad I did.

The Blackvue features and video quality are awesome. Light years better than the previous cheap dashcams I've owned. Fits nicely behind the rear view mirror and the app lets me connect with my phone to view live footage or change some settings on the fly.

Would I recommend it to anyone, you bet. Quality unit all round.

Love this camera

published

This is my 3rd dash cam, after poor experiences with other brands the guys at Alberts talked me into trying a BlackVue. I’m so glad I did, the footage is awesome and the app is the best in the business. Will definitely get one for my partners car as well. Would highly recommend.

Perfect addition to my Tesla

published

I hunted around for a long time looking for the best camera for my new Tesla, after a lot of research BlackVue seemed to be the only one that met, actually exceeded my expectations so I went for the front and rear option and opted for the largest memory card, which is 128gb, couldn’t be happier with the footage and how discrete it mounted in my car.

Not MMI friendly

published

Can't work with Audi MMI, as it interferes with the bluetooth when the iphone app is on. It plays back well on the iphone but takes up lot's of memory on your iphone. When the iphone app is on, you can receive calls on blue tooth but will not revert back to your radio station after the end of the call, otherwise, great little camera.

The g sensor is faulty as with David’s camara. You say on his review you will change the camera but with mine the shop swooped it for another one and this one did the same. .?.

Silky Smooth footage

published

From my very little experience with dash cams I must say this one is my favourite so far.

Being able to access cam via cloud/wifi is great. no more fiddling around to get SD card out then forgetting to return it to the camera (i did this many times in the past).
And sharing footage is handy.

The support Blackvue have given via social media has been top notch as well.

I think its bit to expensive but good value if you get it on sale.

Much better than my older DR500GW

published

This camera with its new sensor is a step above the older models. As said the G sensor is a bit too sensitive but can be turned right down and if you turn audio warnings off you dont notice it. Also have seen it said that video can be better especially at night on 30 fps and you need a fairly fast SD card to use 60fps I use a very fast 128Gb Samsung or a Sandisk extreme Bought mine on a promotion from Autobarn Xmas weekend with the PMP for $300

Good dashcam, Bad G Sensor

published

Bought and installed this dashcam recently. Overall the camera seems good and I like the app features.

The big problem however is the G Sensor is way to sensitive in Normal Driving mode. Even turned right down to minimal setting it constantly records events being triggered by the sensor. Even driving steady on a flat road and it will start recording a triggered event. Pointless having this feature if it is this sensitive as it has to be turned off to use the camera. I dont want the camera recording constant triggered events.

Any advise to fix this would be great as I dont want to replace the camera.

Money well spent!

published

After so much reading online reviews about pro’s and con’s on dash cameras i went with the Blackvue DR750s-2ch along with the PMP and installed it myself as it was very simple and self explanatory. The quality of video footage from front and rear cameras are absolutely awesome and the app for the iPhone is as simple as can be. I have now purchased another unit for another family members car and I can honestly say you won’t be disappointed with the camera. Very impressive.

Very crisp and clear footage, best part of it is Cloud it gives you full control of the capabilities mode and also very good to see reminding people that they have the streaming capabilities. Don't forget to change passwords and also naming your product different SSID than what is already listed. I have had other Dash Cam, but I finally can say I am now happy with my purchase, just hope the QLD heat can be nice to it :)

Hi James, only clear issue at the moment is already discussed, Cloud function requires unit to be reset after daily use in order for it to connect to cloud.

Excellent camera

published

I have had other brands of dash cameras in my company vehicles but the BlackVue is far superior in every way.
The footage is crystal clear and the GPS tracking and night vision are excellent.
I’ll be changing my other vehicle dash cams to BlackVue.
I would highly recommend this camera system.

Excellent Video Quality

published

Having owned the DR650GW, the DR750S is a huge step up in video quality. The actual footage has better colour reproduction and doesn't seem as washed out. Driving quite a bit at night, the enhanced night vision mode is an excellent improvement. I updated the firmware last week and it retained all my settings which is also a huge improvement. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend the DR750S.

Hi MPW777,

Thanks for getting in touch with your query.

The firmware setting "enhanced night vision" on this model does greatly increase the quality of night time recordings.

Please see the video below for some recorded night time footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIfDPGSfnIw

Night vision is excellent, you can easily see number plates & even tell the model of the car. Traffic lights, stop signs etc show up clearly. If some idiot is HI-Beaming it does 'blind' the camera but it is obvious what they are doing on the recording. The GPS speed is SO handy too. Its a great investment in peace of mind if nothing elese.

Hi Casey,

Thanks for getting in touch.
Unfortunately if the video file is not on the SD card then the footage will not be able to be retrieved.
However it is quite concerning that there is still files from last year.
Can you confirm if you are currently running event locking on your camera?
Can you also advise if current files are still being recorded on to the SD card?

If you need to assistance with checking either of these questions please feel free to get in contact with our support team at the email address [email protected] or if you would prefer to speak to a support member you can call through on the number below.

Yes still recording but just don’t have anything on there since last year then recording again started yesterday? I don’t get how that happens ?

BlackVue
BlackVue Australia T.BlackVue

Hi Casey,

If files are being kept from last year then it sounds like to us that they are event files and you have enabled event locking. This will cause Event files to not be overwritten by Normal or Parking recordings.
While this feature can be handy it does require a bit of maintenance to ensure that old event files are checked and saved if required.
Then formatting the SD card will have them removed so space is not taken up.
If you need assistance with formatting the SD card or disabling event locking please advise.

Hi, i have these cameras front and rear. I recently got hit parking which i found about hours later, and there’s too many videos to find it. How can I directly access a collision? Is there an option?

1 answer
BlackVue
BlackVue Australia T.BlackVue

Hi Josh,

Thanks for getting in touch with this query.
Unfortunately there is no way currently to directly access a specific event file.
When the camera records an impact it will label the video file as an event file.
In order to get access to it quicker we would advise filtering for event files and searching through around the time when the incident occurred.
The filtering is both available in the App and on the PC viewer.
If you require further assistance please get in touch with out support team on the email [email protected] or contact us directly on the number below.
