Worked well until just out of Warranty
Chose this model as it got rave reviews on the choice web site. Initially fantastic on our tiled floors, not so good on carpet. Battery longevity never lived up to product description, I think the longest it ever lasted was 20 minutes. Now we are lucky if we get two minutes. Lots of turning on & off & manoeuvres of handle to keep it going. Took it to a battery shop to get it replaced & were told it would cost more than the vacuum is worth. Worst $400 I ever spent! Would not purchase again.

Very Effective Whole House Cleaner!
I bought this to replace my Vax Barrel cleaner and my Freejet 9 volt (which is use for quck cleanups only and which is now not sucking properly).
I have a 3 bedroom unit and it does the whole thing well under one charge! It takes me about 20 minutes and that is going behind everything and under everything. I did all this on setting 2 and without needing to empty the dust compartment. EXCELLENT!!! It was pretty full but it compresses the dust as it collects it - so I think this makes much better use of the small dust compartements of stick v...Read more
acs. I have used this now for almost 2 months. I am really really happy with it. It is light enough to pick up with one hand which I like. It is able to scooch under couches and beds really well. I have found it excellent on both short pile carpet, long pile rugs and tiles. What really surprised and impressed me is how well it does edges - whether you are running it alongside a wall edge or pushing the head directly into an edge such as in tight spaces in a kitchen - it picks up any debris really well. This model does not have a verical stand to slot into to charge, which I thought was a minus, but it has ended up being something I really like about it. It is actually much easier to simply pull out or push in the charging cord and wander off with the stick vac than to fiddle around lining it up with a stand. It is not the lightest to push around BUT you get tactile proof that it is sucking up stuff and not just skimming the surface. Setting 1 is lighter to push around because it is not sucking so hard and I use on this setting for light spills cleanups.1 comment

Extremely disappointed give good reviews for this cleaner
I've now had this vacuum cleaner for about a year. Initially, I liked it. It's light and easy to use - though it's inconvenient to have to switch to putting it on your back and change the attachment to do corners. As time has gone on, I have to say I am really sick of it. You have to constantly empty it, recharge the battery, wash the filter (and wait for it to dry). The brush is poorly designed and doesn't properly flick up matter on the carpet. It constantly has to be disconnected and cleaned. The sheer volume of times you have to stop...Read more
vacuuming for a multitude of reasons and clean, empty and/or recharge this vacuum cleaner means you can't rely on it to do more than a small area of carpet that is easy to clean. Do not get this if you have pet hair. It is absolutely hopeless for that. The suction is good when it works. However, the poor action of the brush detracts from the good suction. My sister-in-law bought the same cleaner at the same time and can't stand hers any longer - so much so that she's bought a cheapie from KMart until she can decide on what to invest in next. There was no operating manual that came with it either, not that I need that any more, but this meant I had to watch YouTube videos to figure out how to use and clean it properly.2 comments

purchase it (unless there are reviews like mine). Short of offering me a better design or partial refund, I don't think there's anything Bosch can do at this stage - other than to ensure your customers are provided with instructions in the box when they buy the cleaner. And perhaps be more open about the cleaner's limitations so customers are aware of those before spending a significant amount of money on this product. Thank you.Similar opinion? Fantastic easy to clean out
I love this vacuum it's great for my timber floors and my tiles and my large rugs. U can see all the dirt it picks up straight away . And so easy to clean out .
Only down side I have noticed is u can't get in corners or up close to edges of walls which u need to get a broom to do then vacuum the rest. The battery life is great but u need to make sure u keep up with charging it. If u haven't charged it and need to clean that is the annoying part of having a cable free vacuum .

Time saver for quick clean ups
Great to use, easy to maneuver and scoot around my hard and carpeted floors. I use my Bosch for quick cleanups in between getting my ducted system out. It runs on 2 for about 30 minutes, when l compared other models they ran for only up to 17 minutes. My Bosch stick was a bit more expensive, but well worth it, it also came with a 3 year warranty. I let the battery run right down before recharging - recharging is a bit of a downside as it takes about 3 hours.

Disappointed even though a great machine
I purchased mine from Harvey anitnsn in 3/15. Paid for four year extended warranty. Now not charging so I’m going to HN tomorrow and I want a replacement. Two other friends bought the same as me and have the same problem and HN replaces theirs. They better replace mine even if it’s the battery otherwise I will not be happy.

Fortunately I’d purchased a four year extended warranty so got a new one. Otherwise it would’ve been a loss of $400. Should last long than three years st that price.

Excellent performance, Superb service
This is the first time I am writing review here. I purchased the Bosch Athlet white 2 years back. We were quite happy with the performance, battery life. The only issue I think it does not pick particle when it is little bit bigger. For example, it can pick a rice but it will hardly pick a puffed rice.
Otherwise it is absolutely fine for me. It is easily portable. I have got the extra car cleaning kits also which is helpful when car is a mess.
The most amazing thing about this is their extraordinary support. While cleaning my rug the handle...Read more

Great little cordless number!!
I bought this cordless vacuum for an apartment and it is great to use! Great suction, battery life and flexibility to get under furniture. The best thing about it is its ease of use - just grab it out, run around with it and place it back. No bending, lifting, fighting with a cord. We used it at home for a week before moving it to the apartment and my husband didn’t want to let it go!! The only small criticism is it doesn’t come with attachments that allow cleaning in tight places. These have to be purchased separately, and I wasn’t offered them when I did purchase, so I’m unlikely to bother with them now.

excellent stick vac for the money
Bought this stick vac at the Harvey Norman Convention Centre sale on the Gold Coast for $266. It has fantastic suction. Was looking at a Dyson V6 which was more expensive but the Bosch was much better. Good run time - 60 mins low but I used it turbo about 15mins & still going. I used on carpet & tiles. Very happy.

Absolutely Frustrated
We've had this vacuum cleaner for approx 3 years and only use it once a month if that
We only vacuum basic things like crumbs, food scraps and dust but still the suction is useless.
It's not like we have to vacuum hard things like pet hair.
Don't waste you money with this vacuum cleaner.

It can’t cope with long hair!
I’ve had this a year & it was fine initially but now it’s useless. It gets long (human) hair & pet hair tangled round the roller & then it’s completely useless. I keep having to cut the hair to free it up but even then it’s still not picking up bits.
I’m really very disappointed as I was sold this as better than the Dyson, which is planned to buy.

Perfect for daily tidy of living space
Great stick vacuum for everyday use. We use on vinyl plank floor and rugs and it's easy to carry up to our second story. Can easily do 100m3 on one charge. Very simple to steer and gets under our beds ok. Also has enough suction it usually gets dust off the scotia as well. Good for pet hair and sand. We did not buy optional attachments.

Quite happy
Got this under Harvey Norman replacement warranty to replace Electrolux version. We had 2 Electrolux ergorapidos, both replaced under warranty at around 12 months. This was recommended as being more reliable by our salesperson. So far have owned it 12 months or so and happy. Good battery life, quite manoeuvrable and adequate suction. We have mostly timber floors. Does all we need it to!

Fantastic machine.
We've had several lightweight cordless vacs, mostly mediocre, and the lady in the shop recommended the Athlet. Unlike a stick-vac which we initially intended to buy, this vac has all the weight at the bottom, not at the top, (which makes them heavier to use), so it's a small 'upright' rather than a sticky.
Never looked back. I'm sure the thing would suck the chrome off a Harley exhaust. Very powerful on 'turbo' mode. So strong in fact that my wife finds the turbo mode too hard for her to use so I get the job:)
Easily the best cordless vac...Read more
we've ever bought and used. How long will it last and will it be reliable? Who knows, but so far (7 months) it's been great. Easily covers our 4/2 house on one charge. Cleaning the filters is a breeze, and replacement filter units are available on Ebay from the UK, both genuine and non-genuine. So that's a big plus. We don't have any of the accessories because we have other vacs for different jobs, and it's no real hardship to swap off to another vac. The Bosch however is our go-to machine if we want a proper job.1 comment

Love the unit. Battery is letting me down now.
The vacuum cleaner is amazing. We purchased it back in mid 2016. Does the large house no dramas across many surfaces. Like any product with regular cleaning of the spinner brush and filters it is a great unit. However the battery is starting to let me down. What can we do about the battery Being a build in unit.

Does what it says on the packet
Battery boasts one hour, on medium to low. Can do the house fine in 30 mins with two out of three bars on battery.
Its handy to pick up like the old portable dust busters but will hoover the whole house. Wood, tiles and carpet.
Thicker carpet means having to push a bit harder. Will be taxing on my elderly mum but good exercise.
Doesn't have a hose attachment to do the corners and along the skirting- one would be good to be detailed like that but overall very happy.

A terrible hoover and not worth the money a rip off
This Hoover is terrible do not buy it!!! I have had it a year and it has no suction, would hardly lift a piece of dirt. The filter is terrible and hardly holds any dirt. Worst his about it is suction, it doesn't do its job and hardly lifts any dirt whatsoever ever. A soul terrible, disgraced with this terrible product.

Terrible, It does not have strong suction
This vacuum cleaner is terrible. It has very weak suction. Every-time, you have to clean it's inside. If a piece of paper or tissue goes inside, it stops sucking. You need to open and clean out that first. You are looking for cordless cleaner to make your life easy, unfortunately, this cleaner makes life more terrible.

I went to Harvey Norman on 28 April 2018 to replace the cleaner. Customer service team of Harvey Norman (Launceston) refused to replace even my product is under product care warranty. They said 'it is going, it doesn't matter how weak or strong suction." Then I asked what is about battery life? They replied "It is wrritten -- up to 60 min." I asked, does it mean if it stays only 1 or 2 minutes, you can say "yes it is up to 60 minutes"? They said that's right it is up to 60 minutes even it goes 1 min.
