Works well but quality lets it down
We purchased a Dyson V11 Pro in May last year direct from Dyson Australia. It was working effectively up to late November last year when the carpet head stopped working. We took it to Dyson Service in Melbourne only to be told it was working when they tested it. On Friday we were using the machine and the noise from the power head suggested it was not working properly. It sounded like it had sucked up a bag of marbles. to Dyson Service today and they were extremely apologetic. Initially they advised a minimum 5 day wait for a new power head from Sydney and they rang later this morning to advise the entire V11 Pro vacuum would be replaced with a new one. It's a great vacuum cleaner but the quality issues are a worry for something that expensive.

Great product, battery works well and suction is good
We had a V6 animal for 4 years and it was time for an upgrade so we bought V11 and we love it. Works perfect and suction is good. It adopts with different surfaces automatically and the suction changes accordingly.

Could off had a ducted vac for the same money and it would have vac the car as well where this can't so not happy with this product waited so long to a fort it. Going to return it back and get my money back not worth 1200 dollars in my opinion . And I have been vacuuming for 30 years so to rate this product its like useing a 30 dollar black and Decker product where you would but in bin. But now I'm going to have to waist my time to take it back and explain my self to the guy. Very good on carpet very bad on tiles
Good unit
Very good build quality
But over $1000 and cant do tiles poor engineering . Unfortinly this is where the unit fails. Tile flooring is this machines enemy. We have a long hair cat and does a out standing job getting cat hair on carpets but fails on tiles.
Oval all its a good unit, provided your on carpet.

Simply perfect! Worth every penny
Bought Dyson V11 Absolute during 2022 Black Friday sales and can tell you it is worth every penny. Extremely easy to use, sleekly designed, powerful, reasonably quiet and much more.
I used it on tiled and carpeted floor as well as rug for all kinds of mess a 2-year-old can possibly make and the outcome was brilliant!
Battery life is excellent as I used it on Eco Mode for 36 minutes and the battery was still well above half. It is so easy to use that we clean the whole house 3 times more frequent than before.

Expensive but very good
Let’s be honest, it is quite expensive and the filter at the rear requires regular cleaning
I still however stand behind the quality of the appliance and charge is more then enough for the regular home
The dog doesn’t mind using the small head on him too which sort of combines brushing and hair pickup

Best upright vacuum ever! I have floorboards and carpet and use it on both without a problem. Totally, totally worth every cent. Picks up every speck of dirt, fluff and hair. Hides easily away between use in small hall cupboard and is always ready for action. An absolute winner.

It’s ok. Not really worth the money.
We have vinyl, hardwood and carpet flooring in our home. I bought this in hopes of making it easier to clean up after my two toddlers, with the ease of not having to lug around a big vacuum plugged into the wall.
I find it extremely heavy, and you have to hold the lever on while you’re vacuuming, I liken it to holding a petrol pump on. I get cramps in my hand after two mins of vacuuming.
When on carpet mode it’s so powerful it just pulls the rug inside it but doesn’t actually pick up the crumbs.
I would prefer to use my $300 Electrolux. Not a fan.

Why are Australian's ripped off by Dyson
Why is it that companies are so keen to ripp off Australian customers. While I'm quite happt with Dyson products, I consider it outrageous that Australian customers are treated with such disdain. Dyson is selling the V11 Torque for USD$498 (AUD$714) including the floor standing Dok (AUD$149)and a choice of extra tools or cleaning kit valued (AUD$130). Yet in Australia we're being gouged AUD$1,098 for just the V11 Torque with a AUD$74 smaller cleaning kit. The new V11 Absolute does not disappoint! It is very powerful and quite lightweight for all that it is. Fantastic Suction. Upgraded from V6.
I chose to go for the Dyson Absolute rather than the Torque as I have more carpets than hard flooring. The Torque only comes with one main head which is better for hard floors. Whereas the Absolute has 2 main heads, one for carpets and the other for hard floors.

Strong vacuum, well engineered. Using it an engineered floors mainly as its not super practical on my wooden carpeted areas given back capacity. A bit pricey for what it is but best in class from previous experience.

I purchased a Dyson V11 Absolute on 26.4.2019. I have always been impressed with the Dyson Machines although the Price is something I'm not so sure about!! ally contacted Dyson - explained the issue - and was sent a complimentary filter. Not sure how this was supposed to solve the issue but I guess a sign of good faith on the part of Dyson. The issue continued ..... I must say that I have a very clean house due to my OCD. I became sick and tired of having to clean the filter each time I used this machine, so I contacted Dyson again. It was arranged that I send my machine down to Dyson in Melbourne - which I did. I sent it last friday and received notification today (Thursday the following week) that it had been sent back to me. I received an Invoice (No cost due to Warranty) that indicated that the only part that had been changed was - you guessed it - the filter unit. It would therefore appear that the filter on this unit DOES need cleaning after every use - and this was NOT a fault. Very disappointed. If I had known this in advance, I would NOT have purchased it. Dyson - the Leader in Technology - leaves a lot to be desired!! I will NOT be purchasing Dyson latest technology anytime soon in the future ....... To waste a week sending it down to Dyson in Melbourne - only to be told that the filter needed changing (It had already been changed if Dyson had looked at my Online Account) - was the most disappointing outcome for a Loyal Dyson Customer (Now to be Ex-Customer) .....Purchased in April 2021 at Harvey Norman Appliances Physical Store for $1,199.00.

Found filter clogged/cyclone blocked with excess dirt/dust. Recommend to Customer to tap cyclone when emptying bin to ensure all dust falls out of cyclone". My V11 is in Excellent Condition - NOT Fair as described by the Technician. The filter that I sent with my V11 for repairs was the NEW filter that Dyson had sent me - It had only been used twice for a short period of time!! I empty my V11 after every use. It is always kept clean and tidy including the filter and bin. I have never come across a Company like Dyson that tries so, so hard not to replace a faulty vacuum when clearly there is something wrong with it!! So frustrating....... The Dyson V11 Absolute Pro has been very satisfying to use and when you see how much dust it pulls up from the depths of the carpet, you definitely know your house is as clean as possible!

Purchased the Dyson V11 a few months ago. Very convenient to use makes me want to vacuum. After 3 20 minute sessions the power head died. I phoned service. After trouble shooting it was determined I needed a new power head. Was told that part was unavailable it would be 2 or 3 weeks and would be notified when it is available. Love my beautiful gold Absolute pro V11
I have owned a V8 for 2 years and loved that so much i gave it to my workplace and upgraded and bought new Absolute Pro V11. Purchased directly form Dyson and the extra brushes and accessories are great. it does not work well on hard floors and i admit sometimes on the tiles, some dirt may be pushed forward and not picked up on first pass but it gets it on the second pass. I feel on the carpet, because of the rotating head, it picks up dirt much much better than even my ducted vacuum and lifts the pile on the carpet really well. Also the Dyson customer service is excellent. I highly recommend this product. Dissapointing poor design
Worked ok in store but lousy at home with pet hair on our vinyl flooring. Forward sweep misses 30% of debris and backward sweep piles the missed debris in a heap behind head! So you think ill just lift the head over the debris heap to suck it up but..the spinning head then contacts the debris and flings it over the floor behind the cleaner!
It works better on carpet due to the uneven surface texture.
Very disappointed, my home is mostly vinyl floors and my dogs are moulting like no tomorrow and im stuck with $1100 of vac cleaner that only works 70% effective one direction .

Curious to why the V11 standing dock is unable to hold all the tools on the stand. What tool is suitable for the stand? I’ve found the smaller motorised head does not fit. When connecting the brush tools the brushes touch the stands pole which presses on the bristles alas the bristles get bent. Is this normal? Is it also normal for the stand to feel unsteady and if not what can be done to rectify this?

Hi, does anyone have an absolutely filthy filter EVEN BEFORE they use their vacuum? For example, when I wash the filter, and wait 24 hours and then put the filter back in, its filthy straight away. Without even vacuuming again! Anyone else?

Hi Soph. It actually seems that way to me!! I wash the filter (As you do) - Leave it for 24 hours overnight (Same as you) and then use it for a VERY short time - and the filter is filthy. My last Dyson only needed the filter cleaned every 6 months or so. This one I basically HAVE to clean after each use - even if I had only used it for a very short period of time!! Don't bother sending it back for Service under Warranty - they will only change the filter - then send it back to you!!
I agree, my last Dyson filter I only changed once a year or something! This is crazy and I have no time for this. So what did you do to fix it?

Hi Kerry, go to the Dyson.com.au site for the machine specifications - the suction is great, I have a cat and dog which always leave hair, a daily 5 min vac and you wouldn't know they were always in the house...the v11 picks it all up no problems, I recommend it if you have pets, hope this helps

Compared to your DC44, the Dyson V11 machine has stronger suction, longer run time (up to 60 minutes depending on floor tool and mode used), a larger bin, and a more powerful floor tool that automatically adjusts between carpets and hard floors.
While the V11 has a 545W motor, this doesn't indicate the performance of the machine. Dyson engineers work tirelessly to make Dyson machines perform better while using less energy and resources.
