Love the run time on this stick vacuum

published

I got this stick vacuum for my birthday. I was very happy. It replaces my Electrolux ergorapid stick vacuum which died. The athlete has 60 mins run time compared to the 60 minute athlet. The Athlet is heavier than the Electrolux and harder to manoeuvre, but I forgive it due to the longer run time and super suction power.
I love that it stands up on its own so it can store anywhere.

Great product

published

It is so light compared to my old Dyson vacuum cleaner. At first I wasn’t sure cordless would be powerful enough to vacuum my 5 bedroom double storey home, but it does the job!! I can take it with me anywhere in the house and never have to worry about cord extension again! It is fantastic. It is also very powerful as I didn’t know my carpet was so dirty! Absolutely love this vacuum and I highly recommend it to families & friends!

amazing light-weight vacuum cleaner

published

Have bought this from a Harvey Norman VIP Night sale at a 40% off ($200 discount). I have been looking for a stick vacuum for a while and was thinking to spend more to buy a Dyson V8. After testing and comparing their specifications, I have bought the Bosch as the motor is made in Germany (according to the staff). Its battery lasts much longer than Dyson. I usually just need to recharge it every other 3-4 days. the suction is strong and can apply to all surface.

Amazing

published

We use this every day sometimes twice with the kids and it is amazing. Quiet enough that my toddler doesn't loose it at the noise and sometimes he uses it himself. Needs emptying pretty often to maintain suction and needs charging more than advertised. We don't use our dyson anymore and our house has mostly carpet.

Loss of Power

published

Bought in 2016. Worked for 3 months then gradually lost power then nothing. Place of purchase exchanged for newer model in June 2017. I have had to ring Place of purchase again as the machine stopped working today after 15 minutes and will not charge. I am working away, have a small house and minimal to clean which is why I decided to get a stick vacumn. I clean out waste every second vacumn. I was asked to bring back in and exchange again if required. Being 5 1/2 hours away makes that a bit difficult so I am without until I get a chance to get back to town. Very disappointed with product.

Good Vacuum but the Handle is to thin

published

The handle on top cant handle the pressure of the vacuum so breaks easily.
Now this is something they may not cover to fix it.
So no point asking.
Good vaccum though.
Charge quickly and is powerful. Just the structure is weak.
they should offer warranty on breakage because of weak structure.

Good Little Hoover - Great so far

published

Over lugging my big vac around, i bought this, It's suction is great, I've been using it since December. Ease of maneuverability and the weight distribution great as the motor is lower down, not as wrist heavy as others i looked at. I am super happy with it so far.

Fantastic design and easy to operate

published

After years of using a barrel vacuum, am really happy with this upright model, the bosch is not noisy and suction is great. Its not heavy and really easy to work under tables and around furniture, which is great when having a back issue. Having a dog found it picks up the pet hair that gets inside with great ease. Works fantastic on board and tile floors. Love that its also easy to clean pull out the cannister to clean out all that is picked up. Only issue if you use on highest power, charge doesnt last as long, found using on mid range gets that house cleaned in no time with plenty of charge left for next time. Would highly recommend.

Quick and Easy

published

I have owned the Bosch Athlet vacuum for two and a half years and have found it be be quick and easy to use with plenary of charge time when full to run around my 4 bedroom home. Today sad news, the neck just below the base of the handle has snapped. Obviously a point of pressure when using it and I had noticed a few crack sounds over the past few months but didn't know where it was coming from until today. I will contact Bosch on Monday and hope they can assist with it as it still works but I can't use it because of the broken handle and I'd hate to have to throw it away.

Disappointed

published

Just purchased the Bosch Athlet from Harvey Norman who convinced me that this vacuum would do my house even though I do not like Battery operating vacuums. The battery starts running out after 30 minutes and on Turbo it is very difficult to push. Completely unsuitable for a house with carpets and after paying over $300, I am not happy.
I waiting so long to get a decent upright cleaner and now I have to save for a power cord one. It is suitable for smaller areas and a quick clean up and it is powerful. Should it be left to charge all the time or do you only charge it before you intend to use?

Fantastic vaccum, shocking battery life

published

I do love the vaccum it sucks very well on all floor types and you can change your speed to suit different flooring. Only downside is shocking battery life. It’s meant to last up to 1 hour. Although I’m lucky to get 10/15 on low speed. If your looking for something with a longer use time, this is not for you! It’s got to be on charge constantly otherwise it only last about 5mins. Glad I got it on sale as wouldn’t spend full price on it!

Absolutely brilliant

published

This vacuum is amazing. Have just bought our second one. After vacuuming carpet with other vacuums this sucks out a barrell of dirt in no time. Great for dog hair and on both tiled and carpeted floors. It is the only vacuum we now use. If there was one criticism its that the plastic handle is susceptible to cracking if you lift the vacuum by the top of the handle. Battery lasts long enough to vacuum a reasonably large area.

This is perfect we use it all the time.

published

This vacuum is excellent, has very good suction. Goes well over carpet and tiles floors. Light but sturdy. Battery power lasts a good half hour on medium power. We have had it for about 8 months my husband uses it and agrees that is excellent for vacuuming accidental mishaps as well it will handle a full house clean. We have a four bedroom house. Good value for the money we spent. We highly recommend this Bosch Athlet vacuum.

Battery indicator

published

We have had our Athlet for two weeks now, when not in use we leave on charge 24/7 however I notice after about 24 hours when fully charged the blue battery indicator starts flashing again and charges again, is this a fault or is it supposed to cycle the battery like that, i.e. run down and recharge or is our battery faulty?

Utterly useless

published

This was never a satisfying vacuum, but now it's an utter dud. From the start the suction was not as promised. My home has tiled floors and a few rugs -- it should be easy clean. The Athlet struggled to pick up much, and when we turn it off a lot of dirt and dust would fall out -- back on the floor. Three years later it's not powerful enough to pick anything if we use the hose attachment. With the standard setup it might pic up some sand, but there's no guarantee.

Sounds like the battery is at fault. I think it should still be under warranty, so check with the retailer.
