Which setting is the heavy duty wash cycle for work clothes

Thanks for your question regarding the Bosch WAW28460AU.
There is no heavy duty wash cycle on this appliance, it all depends on the fabric the items are made out of. Most of the time the Cottons program, designed for hard-wearing fabrics, heat-resistant fabrics made of cotton or linen will do well. You can increase the temperature to a maximum 90 degrees.

I have just had my bosch waw28460au front loader installed, however I’m trying to do the ‘ first initial wash/clean’ that is advised in the instruction manual- though it’s not wanting to start- that machine just beeps twice and will not go into the cycle ? Please help!

If it's not starting a cycle at all we would recommend to check the door is shutting completely, It can take a few times to realise how much force is needed to shut it correctly. If there are any other indicators on the display flashing or lit up it may give you a better idea of what to look at.

I'm 69 live on my own so only wash maybe once every 7 or days sheets etc. What size do you recommend also I only use cold water and not needed are all the different settings Thanks Rosemary

If you're talking about the capacity of our appliances then it all depends on the amount of washing you do, we can't really recommend on that alone. These are also the ones with the least amount of different functions.

Hi my washing machine has just developed a small water leak which appears to be in the spin/empty cycle .. certainly not on the fill wash cycle or from the hoses.
Any ideas on what might be the probem?

If it happens during the draining/spin cycle then it's probably a blockage somewhere. If you check the drain pump and drain hose connection and there's nothing there then it might be further in and can only be resolved by a service technician. Hi Belinda, this unit only has Aqua Secure not Aqua Stop so it only detects a leak within the inlet hose, not within the appliance itself.

Hi, i just bought the front loader washing machine and added in clothes without following the instructions of the manual under the title 'before washing for the first time' and now the door is locked, also the water is not going through. How should i deal with this?

I was able to remove the clothes and then I followed the instructions for 'before washing for the first time' but then the water is still not moving

How to open lock door machine?

If the childproof lock is on- press and hold the 'rpm' and 'finished in' buttons at the same time for 3 seconds to unlock. Or, if the machine has started its cycle and you want to add or remove something from the machine press the play/pause button on the right and the light will flash and the machine will unlock if it is safe to do so, but do not leave the door open too long as the water may leak out. Hope this helps clarify the locked doors on this Bosch washing machine.

I currently have a top loader but prior to this one I bought a cheap front loader, I think it was a Whirlpool. It was terrible, the loads took forever to wash and had no quick wash options. I have been doing some research on a new machine as this one is on it's last legs. I have a Bosch Dishwasher and am very happy with it's performance. It's just my husband and me now but when we have family stay, usually 8 adults and 5 grand children, I need to be washing towels, sheets and lots of coloured everyday loads. I think the main reason I feel hesitant to buy another front loader is the time the loads take. My question is....should I buy a front loader or a top loader?

Hi Julie, the Bosch has super quick washes down to 15mins which might help. Front loaders have more position options in a laundry than top loaders too. Spend the money on something decent if you can, it will probably turn out cheaper in the long run

Our cycles are reliant on sensors and are generally not that short. The energy and water star rating is due to our cottons 60 degree wash with the Eco Perfect setting but this takes approximately 4.5 hours. None of our appliances have the option to cancel the rinse cycle. The rinse hold only ever stops the cycle in the middle of the final rinse and does not cancel it.

In the bottom right of the dislay panel there is a "Finished in" section with a + and - use these to delay the start of the appliance and have it finish in up to 24 hours.
