Does my WAW28460AU let me know if the weight of clothes is too heavy?
It keeps saying 5kg on the display which I presume is the max for that load and 4 for easy care

Hi Kizzy,
Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch WAW28460AU.
For that model there is no indicator for the current weight, just the limit for the currently selected cycle.

How are you drying them? I find if I use the dryer (even without fabric softener in the wash), I have no issues. If I put them on the clothesline they are never fluffy.

Hi Denise,
Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch WAW28460AU.
There's not much we can recommend if you don't have a dryer to use. Things to try would be a different brand of fabric softener. A lower spin speed and making use of the "Finished in" function to hang the laundry out as soon as the load finishes would be beneficial as well.

Hi Maureen,
Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch WAW28460AU.
That is certainly fine. It is recommended to run a hot cycle now and then (even if there are no clothes in the machine) in order to make sure detergent doesn't build up in the system.

Hi thats the extension for drainage

However what part is the extension for water mains?

It is clearly seen the connections for both are different.

Hi Doonap,
That is the only extension hose for this appliance. It is an extension of the inlet hose, not the drainage.

Is possible that my washing machine load sensor could be malfunctioning- I have had this appliance for 3+ years now with no problems at all but last 3 weeks machine often will not reach full spin cycle leaving washing wet. Technician said it was not a fault just the function of the unbalanced load sensor protecting my machine. I dont really understand why this would suddenly start happening to me when Ive been using the machine with no problems for so long. The technician did not look into the workings of the machine at all... could there be something at fault? The machine didnt even spin when empty the other day but did spin once when technician came, twice after that but now not spinning again. Please help... I dont know where to go from here.. Ive just hung out another load of soaking washing... Thankyou Vicky

Hi, we’ve had our machine a month and for the 2nd time there has been water coming from under the machine at the end of the cycle and when I opened the service flapped and checked the drain hose it was empty but when I opened the pump cover lots of water came out. Is this normal and should I need to be emptying the pump every week?

Hi Penny,
Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch WAW28460AU washing machine.
You should check the service flap on a regular basis to check if no blockages, however there is going to be water in the pump when opening. Please be careful and place a towel on the floor prior to opening the service flap and pump.

Hi Lyn,
Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch WAW28460AU washing machine.
As there are many sensors within the Bosch washing machine. It can detect residual detergent left within your laundry and add extra time, rinsing properly.
Have you adjusted the amount of detergent you use to see if the cycle still continues.

Hi. Yes. It used to work fine but now every single was exactly on 35 mins it adds time. So the 45min wash is always over an hour no matter the weight. Its always exactly 10mins into the wash and only on the mix cycle.
It also started flashing the other day and was cycling on its own through the wash cycles on the dial before i had selected a wash so not sure if its an electronic problem?

We got an issue when using our machine that it lights up with the "foam detection" and adds more and more time to the wash. It never goes into a spin and rinses so it ends up with very wet clothing. The only way to stop it is by powering off then manually setting the spin mode. We have cleaned the pumps and tubes but it still seems to go into that "foam detection" mode and adds up to 2+ hours to wash that use to only take 45 minutes. We are only using very small amounts of washing liquid so what's wrong?

Hi,
My WAW28460AU machine aqua is leaking. My water taps are under the cabinet and facing downwards. As soon as I plug in aqua hose to water supply it leaks. Leak is not between the main tap and hose connection, it's just on top of big box on the hose. I have tried different angles but no use. Could you confirm if there is any specific angle whole aqua stop need to be in? And if there anything I am missing here while connecting.
Thanks.

Hi Raj, It appears that Bosch may send a technician to check out your problem. It sounds to me that the leak may come from any connection relating to the box if there is one or there may be a very small split in the hose near the box. For the record our connecting taps point in the direction the hose is coming from.

Hi there we have just bought this machine. It’s great so far however I’m finding there is water that sits on top of the rubber rim at the end of each wash. I have had a WAW28460AU for just over a year. In the last week, the machine isn't finishing any cycles. On a 15 minute Quick Wash cycle it counts down to around 5 minutes then stops, leaving a wet load of washing then we've tried the Rinse / Spin cycle and it also doesn't finish. The longer Mix cycle also is incomplete. We've drained the machine and this also stops at 1 minute and doesn't beep to indicate the cycle has finished. We've turned the power on /off, checked for kinked hoses. Frustrating as I have two young children and lots of washing. Any idea as to what could be the problem? many thanks.

Bosch ended up replacing the washing machine after nearly three weeks of wrangling. They said a spare part would have to come from Germany to fix the machine (no spare part in Australia!!) ... more waiting, so we pushed the point and have had no problems with the replacement machine.
