Broke at 3 and a half years
It was a good machine as it did a very good job. But it just worked for 3.5 years then it stop heating. At a $98 (on sale) it should have last longer. Called 2 repair shops, they said the part to repair would have been the hotplate and there is no parts available. Seems to be that Braun uses closed parts that can't be open therefore the only option is to throw away the iron and get a new one. More waste.
Purchased in January 2021 at Myer for $120.00.

Very disappointed
I bought this iron just over 2 years ago and was pretty happy with it most of the time. It did leak at times if not on the hottest setting and is quite heavy but I coped. Unfortunately today the iron is not heating up. The light blinks and then nothing! I would have thought a reputable brand like Braun would last much longer than this. Very disappointed and unsure if ai would purchase again.
Purchased in March 2021 for $99.00.

I really love this iron
I'm very happy with this iron. It is a comfortable weight, the holes on the bottom cover the area to be steamed in a good way and it easily glides over fabric. It makes ironing a pleasure instead of a chore. I would recommend this iron to anyone requiring a new one.

Great Iron
I bought this iron a year ago and it does the job very well. Heats up fast where the cord is nice and long. I found this iron to have a good warranty and its' easy to clean which I like about it compare to other irons that aren't. Worth purchasing.

So easy to use
Had quite a few irons over the years, this time before I bought this one I decided to research and it came at one of the top irons to have. The iron heats up really quickly, light to use and makes ironing an easy chore. The only downside is that you need to fill up the water tank more often. Love that it comes with a textile plate for those delicate items

Does a great job
I use this iron occasionally and think it does a really job. It feels really well built and is quite heavy and sturdy. Just one pass over my shirts and they are done. No complaints as yet, but have only used it 3-4 times and has great sleep function when not in use.

Excellent product
Excellent product, easy and convenient to use. This is one of the best steam irons that i have purchased. Life is quite easy with this. The earlier one was from a local company and was not serving the purpose .

Why I returned this iron
It did not get hot enough on the tip to iron into the corners of cuffs and shoulders of cotton business shirts.
When I pressed the steam it shot steam out the front instead of down burning me every time.
I tried to iron 6 shirts but it was not safe. I returned it and bought a sunbeam verve 57 platinum which is so much better.

Worst Iron I ever used
This iron basically leaks water everywhere, totally unusable and you end up with a wet piece of clothing. I returned the iron immediately for refund after first use. I really do not expect a brand like Braun to produce such a bad quality product like this one. I do not also see an improvement of this iron from my cheaper Kambrook iron, which was given to me for free from a previous tenant.

Substantial iron, solid service
This iron has a good number of steam outlets and substantial plate making ironing easy. It heats quickly and has additional steam surge. It's medium weight and the cord rotates at the iron end junction and can be moved so it doesn't get in the way.
There is a model which has a fine plate covering that can be attached for delicate fabrics however it looked flimsy and didn't attach well. It's also unecessary as the iron has a good range of settings

Horrible- Leaks everywhere, worst iron i've ever used
I was so disappointed with this after having read so many reviews I thought this would be a decent iron. It leaks water out of the sides and the steam holes uncontrollably, saturating the whole shirts - not usable at all. Taking me 30mins to iron one shirt and then have to go over it again to dry it out because it's saturated. It's ridiculous.

Makes ironing a breeze!
I bought a Braun TS745A steam iron from Myer online store at a reduced price a couple of weeks ago, after having been very disappointed with another steam iron from a different brand! The great things about this iron: it heats up quickly; it's very light, and yet the soleplate material allows it to glide over the garment with ease and the design (combination of heat and steam) would prevent from having to re-iron to get rid of wrinkles: it irons effectively. The cord length is long enough, and not too long to make it ridiculous. The special gro...Read more
ove in the snout of the filling cup makes the act of filling up the water tank easier than usual. The water tank is average in size and I suppose because I use much steam when ironing, I usually have to re-fill it after ironing for 20 minutes. The TS745A style I bought has a full arched handle (like most other steam irons from different brands) and not like that in the pictures shown here, although the handle shape is not something which would affect the iron's performance. THE ONLY minor issues I've noticed with this iron is that when it's in upright position awaiting usage, it makes some noise as though spitting some water droplets from the soleplate, however, when using it to iron in horizontal position, it doesn't leak water or leave any stains on the garment. Also, perhaps it's also me, but when pressing the steam jet button whilst the steam dial/valve being at maximum, I would have expected more steam release than the amount given off by the iron. Overall, a great iron and very happy, especially that I bought it at a reduced price.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very happy with my purchase
I agree on everything with other reviewers on this iron. It heats up really quickly. Temperature control is good and it glides well on the fabrics, very easy ironing and ergonomic handle. Steam controls are great, you can choose the amount of steam you need on different fabrics. It is safe with automatic switch off and long cord (2.5cm) and I hope it will be reliable, I have bought it about a month ago and it was on special for $89.00, so it is the best iron for a reasonable price. I have made a good choice, thanks to your reviews. I hope it will last for a while.

An iron that does everything the advertising says it will.
My new Braun TS745A Texstyle 7 Steam Iron is fantastic. I have previously owned Breville, Sunbeam, Phillips, and my last iron was a Murphy Richards. I thought the Murphy Richards iron was great but the new Braun far exceeds it. The water level in the large capacity 400ml tank is great and very easy to see. The Eloxal sole plate is amazing. The iron just glides over whatever you are ironing with ease and I have found that it gets the creases out of clothes fast and far more easily than all of my previous irons, also the iron feels quite light t...Read more
o handle and use. The steam has heaps of pressure and it does not drip which is great and the temperature control is accurate. The iron heats very quickly and turns off automatically if left standing idle after about 8 minutes or 30 seconds if left idle face down. Overall, cannot fault this iron. Best iron I've owned
I used to have a Tefal iron and 'put up' with the spitting and staining against my better judgement. When my new one started spitting too, I took it back and purchased this one, which my mum had also recently purchased. Simply put, I LOVE it. It hasn't given me a moment of trouble. No spitting, no noises, no staining. Has all the usual controls. I'm not after some 'next generation' contraption that serves drinks, just an easy to use steam iron that sprays water, has a long cord and an auto shut off. Best $139 I've spent.

German engineering at it's best!
Since my Azur stopped heating up a few days ago I had no choice but to find another iron. I didn't want to buy the Azur GC4865 again as it was ok but I found the steam would burn my hand if I left my left hand in front of it on the clothes and it didn't iron out creases easily. My friends said go for Braun so I did. Just spent 45mins ironing with it tonight and I think it's brilliant. One pass over shirts and there's no creases. Linen comes out wonderfully and even jeans and shorts were easy. I bought the black Braun TexStyle 7 with Eloxyl plat...Read more
e (it's not the blue and white one). It weighs only 1304 gms compared to Azur GC4865 at 1404 so very light and glides like butter!! The sole plate is wider as well. It also has a bigger water tank which I love but still need to refill nevertheless. Never looking back again. It's worth the price tag. I got it at David Jones for $118 on special. You will enjoy ironing a lot if you get this model.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
