My dog used to take Bravecto as a 2 year old on up without any issues and now at 5 she is vomiting bright red blood, has diarrhea, can't hold food down or even water some days. So did the formula change? Because she never had any of these issues before. I can't trust the vet anymore because clearly they're not concerned about poisoning our pets.
Help! I gave both dogs their bravecto chewable
Found one on the ground and my dog was trying to eat it. I’m unsure which dog didn’t eat it. One takes medium and one takes large. I’m unsure what size I have. Has anyone measured their chewable before so I can figure out which dog didn’t eat theirs?

I would not give to any dog, when your dog has a seizure, you will wish you hadn't. Your dog has convolutions, foams at the mouth, pees all over its self, craps its self, shakes violently.

Hi I gave ou poodle Scooter the 3 month chewable. Approximately 12 hours later he threw up after eating grass as he does . My question is would the medicine be in his blood stream after 12 hours or do I need to dose .

I’m so scared my vet gave our three dogs bravecto told me it was very safe, well two are puking and I’m freaking out. We just lost our six year old dog to seizures last week. I will die if we loose another. We started them on a detox is there anything else we can do??

My border collie was given a tablet form of brave to chewable for fleas and ticks. Given to me by my local veterinarian. He has vomited and been unwell for 2 days. Read moreng seizures, bloody vomit and bloody stools. It started out minor like yours. The vet said it was normal. After each dose it got worse. The last dose he had a sever itchy rash, the bloody stools and vomits and 3 seizures in 2 hours. I was terrified. It's 5 months later we are still battling the rash and he had another seizure today. No where on any of their sites do they tell you how long it stays in their body. Only that it kills flea and ticks for 12 weeks. I was told by our NEW vet it's normally in their body for 3 months.But I don't think they really know because there is no data on it. So I now don't know if he is STILL having a reaction to it or it's something else. There is not enough information on it. So I sit here and every time a period of time goes by I get excited and hope it's over. What I do know is he never had these symptoms and seizures before flea and tick medication. So I beg you to stop giving it to your dogs. Mine started with an upset stomach. Then after each dose it got worse. Till the last dose I gave him had me in the emergency room crying. No pet owner should ever have sit with their pet while they have a seizure. So your dogs may be a little sick this time. The next dose it may be a little sicker. Until you give it that dose that cause the seizures and throwing up brite red blood and has blood oozing out of his bum. I'm not trying to be gross or scar anyone. I am describing what I had to watch my Pom who is my baby go through. Tearing up as I remember it.

I would try to get as much fluid as possible into the dog(s) and make sure they are using the bathroom as often as they can. It will help

the vet tells everyone to use it Why i dont know Vets should know better.. This stuff is full of pesticides dont use it.. do a google search & find something using natural ingredients

Read moreath of major hair loss/sores on her body/ scratching! We had to do a cycle of prednisone and antibiotics for the summer at the cost of over $300.00 for the medication alone. Then this year same thing at the same time! (I do not give her Bravecto in the fall or winter) This March the whole cycle started over after giving her the pills this time it was 4 trips to the Vet and same medication combo! All the way through to Sept. I had purchased another Pill to give her in August but I held off do to the skin problems. My very fluffy beautiful dog looks like she has under gone cancer treatment, her hair is dull and only 1/3 of what she normally would have. I am glad that I held off giving her the pill and have decided not to. The light bulb went off in my head when I started thinking about the timeline to her skin problems and the Bravecto. I can't say with certainty that it is the pill but her hair is finally started to come back and she no longer has the scratching causing the sores. I will not be giving her the Bravecto again. Since it lasts for 3 months once it is given there is little you can do to counteract it. I have spent over $1000.00 in the last 2 summers. The vet has never mentioned that this could possibly be a cause. I will not be giving it to her in March 2021 and we will then have an answer if it is Bravetco or outside seasonal allergies as stated by my Vet.
After taking Bravecto for the first time June 10 my dog has had 3 seizures (in just a little over 2 months). Perfectly healthy 2 year old airedale. Blood work came back no problems. Vet told me was perfectly safe. Im desperately seeking information. I do not want to put him on seizure medication for the rest of his life if I do not have to. Will these seizure stop after the 12 weeks it is in his system? I cannot find answers at all :(
