It is fantastic
This is so inexpensive for a great little machine, it will make any type of bread & mix dough for rolls.
the "basic french" is nice & crispy.
Cheap, easy to use, great machine.

Makes beautiful home baked bread.
I love baking bread with no additives. The smell of the bread baking is just divine. I have had my breadmaker for a year now and love it.
Quick, easy and bakes bread perfectly.
The curved paddle makes a big hole in the bottom of the loaf when removed.

Best for the price
This is the second one I have had over about 10yrs My old one still works
We bought a new one keeping the old one for a spare,
We make around 4 loaves a week, And love it.
With price comparisons not much comes close,
There is no question what we would buy again
Easy to make bread
Can not fault it

Love It
Have mastered it. After troubleshooting my first 2 loaves, I bought digital scales and reduced bread loaf size to medium - has been perfect ever since. I use the Breville measurement guide for premixed packets as per instruction book that came with machine. Plus adjust water/flour in first 10 mins of machine mixing (as per manual). I get 5 loaves from a 4 pack premixed box, so approx $1.25 per loaf! will try my hand at fully home made recipes soon. My friends love the loaves (have to share or I will get fat!!!).
Very easy with premixed boxed product.
Instruction manual could be even more user friendly.

Disappointed
First 2 loaves were fine, just not quite done on top, bread does not look "finished." Disappointed to say the least. Third...nothing as machine won't work. Completely frustrated about this. Still under guarantee...this could take a while was told. However Harvey Norman may exchange it (they said)
Breville are a huge company customer service needs to be better than this.
Fairly good for baking small loaves
Baking case difficult to remove

Terrible
This the first bread machine we have purchased and I was really excited by the thought of making my own bread. I used it everyday to bake a fresh loaf for my family. On the 3rd day, I heard a loud sound coming from the machine whilst it was kneading the dough. I looked inside and the paddle was no longer moving. I only had make 2 loaves at this point in time and was quite disappointed that it had broken down so easily. Luckily, it was still under warranty and Good Guys have replaced it.
I also used the timer option and found that the...Read more
multi grain loaf I made was heavier and a bit more compact. I dont know if I would buy this again. Its acceptable for a first bread maker however I think I will buy a different brand for my next one. The price. I got mine from Good Guys and it was on sale - only a $100 Poor quality of parts. My first machine broke down after 2 loaves!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Terrible
Breville got my choice because it would make a small loaf and it had a delay timer. Unfortunately, I will not buy a Breville again.
ability to make a smaller loaf & timer delay
The oven started beeping every 5 minutes during the making of the fourth loaf. I should have checked here before making my purchase. It did bake three almost successful loaves before failing

Good
This is a suberb breadmaker that is so easy to use and you can pick these up with little expense at many electrical stores these days. There is something about making your own bread that is really nice and the smell of these machines when bread is cooking is lovely. It is so nice to walk into your home when a loaf has been cooking in the machine. The bread normally always comes out great and while you only have one size, it is still a fantastic machine.
Makes yummy bread that smells lovely while cooking. Relatively easy to keep the machine clean.

Excellent
I love my breadmaker. As a novice to breadmaking, I thought that the Breville would just help me "start out" but it's fantastic and I've become proficient in the loaves I've made. TOP BREADMAKER!
Its easy to use, throw any ingredients in and it always comes out perfect. Perfect crust. Great value for money. Very lightweight, so I can put it back in the pantry when it's not in use, and it's not too bulky when it sits on the bench.

Never seem to be able to get measuring right. Are the recipe measures US or Imperial?
2 answers
Measure by weight and you will not have any problems
Imperial but take note the Australian Tablespoon is different. NZ Table spoon is 15 grams where the Australian Tablespoon is 20 grams. I find the best way to measure correctly is to weigh the ingredients including the water as it measures the same.
