Quality so poor the blade assembly cracked in less than 12 months
We bought this super expensive blender and in less than 12 months of rare and very gentle use, the blade assembly has cracks. This is a consumable product and not covered by warranty. Do you really want to buy a blender whose base cracks in less than 12 months ? The cost of the replacement is worth two cheap blenders from kmart. Very unhappy. You can't even make a smooth dip in this blender. Just chunks all the time.
Purchased in July 2021 for $200.00.

Poor performance
Just bought the Breville Kinetix Pro today. Very disappointed with making a smoothie — even after doing the smoothie cycle x3 and blender x1, the consistency is not smooth at all!! Still had some small chunks of banana and can see small strings of the leafy greens!!
Contacted the store straight away as I bought this product from their recommendation. They were happy to order and exchange for the actual brand that I was originally after.
Purchased in February 2021 at Bing Lee Physical store for $250.00.

Best Smoothie maker ever
I bought this BL800 secondhand for $20! What a bargain. It makes the best smoothies ever!
I also use it to make slushies and they come out perfect. I can't fault it and it was a bargain to boot.

Doesn’t do what it says!
Terrible - we love to make smoothies, it doesn’t make a smooth smoothie. It’s chuncky and you have to eat your smoothie. So if you like to put raw veg in your smoothie don’t buy it.
Terrible - customer service, I asked for some support and suggestions - never heard back.
The positive, it’s quiet (probably because it can’t do the job) and it looks nice in the bench.

Breville Kinetix is the bomb!
This machines ability is second to none. We have had it for a while now and it has never let us down. The finer you need anything the longer you run it for. It may be noisy however you dont expect a machine like this to make you smoothies silently do you??

Great Blender
This blender is great, no worrys about the build quality, it is nice and solid. The blender blends nice and smoothly. Great for smoothies. I would not recommend that you put ice in it. Good price, but loud motor.
Still great!

Hardworking and reliable
We've had the 800A model for about 3-4 years now and it's still going strong without any problems. It's a solid, strong appliance that looks stylish on my bench too. We use it a lot for sofridos for paella (blending herbs and tomato) and pesto for pasta (basil parmisan pine nuts garlic).
The lid fits well and the base is heavy enough so that it doesn't bounce around. I wash it in the dishwasher and it still looks new.
I didn't realize what a time saver and how easy it made preparing food until I tried to make paella at my mums house with her blender! Highly recommended.

Good Product
I bought this product from Myer and only used it few times per week for my smoothies. Product is fine, can crush ice but not so smoothly; the engine is very loud. Happy with the product and the price purchased but not too happy with the all functions within; this product is only suitable for home use; not the best for smoothies

Amazing Blender had it for at least 3 years
This is a great blender that I've bought from Breville, I bought it about 3 years ago and it's still working pretty well. We make smoothies, milkshakes, slushies etc. I don't think it's a good idea to continually blend ice in it, but it's strong enough to handle ice once in a while. It's also quite easy to clean, as the blade can be taken out of the jug. The jug is also quite sturdy, as I've dropped it once in a while, and it's still fine.
Pros:
- Easy to use, has about 4 modes including blend, ice etc.
- Easy to clean, detachable blades ...Read more

Below level of other breville products. Solid, but not a great choice
I have several Breville products and even plan others in future purchases, but this product is actually a let down.
Good:
- the product is solid and has been reliable
Bad:
- lack of any speed control restricts what can be done with this blender
- extremely tall jug (large flange) relative to internal size means difficult to fit in the dishwasher
In the end it is hard to justify the counter space given the limitations. The functions on the buttons are limited and it does them all very well so you get what you see. But having used a blender for some time, I find the product limited. For many people, pay more and get a flexible product that will do more....or may as well get a cheapie. ...Read more
In the end I would move to 'The Boss' as a better product, except the world seems to be moving to blenders with not only variable speed but also heating, something Breville does not yet make, so the move will probably be to another brand.1 comment

Excellent blender
Does excellent smoothies, crushes ice with no trouble.
Half of the reviews say that blending tricky stuff like kale doesn't work well enough. Blending kale with ice, fruit and milk for several minutes left stringy kale chunks. However, blending kale with a bit of liquid (yoghurt or milk) alone on "blend" for about two minutes did the trick - adding the fruit and more liquid and running the "smoothie" program afterwards resulted in a silky smooth smoothie.
Since there chopping blade unit screws into the jug with a silicone seal, I'd expec...Read more
t some leakage if it's not tightened enough. In my case the seal looks pretty tight so far. Can't review the customer service and replacement procedures yet as this blender is new and not broken yet. The unit was bought from Retravision in Jan 2016 during the Boxing Day Sale for ~AUD 230 reduced from ~AUD 300.1 comment

All l can say is fantastic ! It’s everything we have been looking for.
Brevile The Kinetix Pro Blender
We have a new baby, we wanted something compact (doesn’t take up too much space), powerful (2000 watts) and versatile (I use it for smoothies and blending baby food) we got it in this one.
All l can say is fantastic ! It’s everything we have been looking for.
It’s not too noisy and and easy to use with just a small selection of buttons.
BPA free is always a winner with us too
Well priced
Just love it !
Thanks Breville

Poor base finish, lack of control, short useful life
After perhaps 2 years of only light and very occasional (monthly) use our unit finally flatly refused to work. There was a gradual deterioration in the push button control system, with it working sporadically if I was determined to repeatedly press the power and function buttons, but now all I get is a flashing red power light with the jug off the base, which goes off as soon as the jug is put in place. This blender was never worth the high purchase price. The automatic only (no manual override) functions were not any better than I could have a...Read more
rchieved with a speed control and an on/off button. It was annoying to clean and the jug had to be pulled part completely after every use. My brother had a couple of problems with the base leaking (I learned to make doubly sure the blades were tightly in place). The stainless steel look of the base started to bubble and look trashy after about 12 months. Nevertheless I expected the electronic control system to be reliable and durable, and not the weakest point. I bought this Breville unit, at a much higher price than some other brands, only because we have had reliable performance from some (not all) of their products in the past. The rapidly deteriorating appearance and short working life of this unit means I will not replace it with another Breville. I will also be buying a unit which has manual controls, not automatic.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Not good for vegetables/green smoothies but otherwise a very nice blender
I got this because I wanted something better than my stick blender for smoothies, soups, etc, and I wanted to try making green smoothies instead of my usual fruit ones.
The controls are very easy and convenient - just hit a button and let it do its thing. The downside is they don't give you much (or any?) control. You can't set it on high, you just have to choose "blend" (a medium speed), "smoothie" (mixture of blend and pulse), or "ice" (pulse at a higher speed). Each button runs for a preset time of about a minute, or you can stop it soon...Read more
er. I found with nearly everything that I had to run it multiple times to get the result I wanted. It's good for cooked soups, fruit smoothies and the like, where the ingredients already somewhat softened. It was fine blending frozen fruit and ice. One particular highlight is that it makes a beautifully creamy, frothy smoothie with minimal dairy (just whey protein powder in my case). I made a quick pumpkin soup by throwing in stock, leftover roast onion, roast pumpkin with skin on and a handful of fresh parsley and it blended it very smooth, with just green flecks remaining of the skin and parsley. The downside is you can't blend tougher stuff very well. It was able to blend raw carrots into grain-sized bits but didn't seem like it was going to ever get them finer. Green smoothies have lots of little bits no matter how long I blended. With the controls you get (especially no high speed option), you just can't get there. The jug is easy to disassemble and clean. As others have mentioned, you have to be careful to tighten it all the way when you assemble it. The noise level is good for a blender. It looks great and it's not too tall so it fits on the bench under my kitchen cabinets (last blender didn't do that). The jug is a good large capacity too. There's a lot I like about this blender, and it's a big step up from some of the cheaper ones I've had in the past. I'm having a hard time deciding if I should return it and buy a Vitamix or something, just for the green smoothies, when it does everything else well. This isn't a blender at that level even if I'd prefer it was.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent blender for my requirements.
I purchased this blender in February 2012 and have made a lot of smoothies since then. If i'm using heaps of frozen fruits and ice I find using the blend function for 20-30 seconds and two rounds of the smoothie function makes a perfectly smooth consistency, it takes a little longer but its still quicker than standing in line at a smoothie bar. It moves the contents around in the jug fairly well so it all gets blended. You have to make sure you've tightened the blade up correctly (by hand) or you'll end up with smoothie all over the bench, this has happened to me a few times. Clean up is easy I just pull it apart (5 items, jug, lid, inner lid, blade & seal) and put it in the dishwasher.

Soo disappointed
Bought this blender to bring to my work office for green smoothies thinking it can give me a smoothie. Unfortunately it can only give me a chunky smoothie. I am so disappointed as I have a $30 blender that does a similar job.
I think I will stick to my Vitamix . Nothing blends like this baby .

Wouldn't buy this again
Purchased this last year and have found it to have one of the worst base connection. Put simply every time you use it liquid gets in between the blade assembly and the seal below. Which means every time you want to use it you need to unscrew the blades and clean it completely - otherwise you end up with rotting milk in the bottom. Also sharp corners to the base make it hard to clean these as well.
Final problem - if you don't screw it back together tight enough then the base will unscrew when using it and pour out through base.
Sold as a professional level blender - very disappointed

Keep realistic expectations and you'll be fine
I was doing circuits of the appliances sections at David Jones trying to take in all the options available as far as blenders go, and obviously decided on the BBL800. In the end the balance of price and brand reputation is what got me to hand over my money, and because the Tefal item I was originally looking for at the same price point wasn't available in store.
On the plus side, this blender is totally adequate.
- Controlling the unit is simple - really, you only have three options: blend, blend/pulse, pulse; and these are all pre-progra...Read more

Hi, I do carrot celery beetroot baby spinach juice in nutra bullet, was thinking of trying the breville 800. Does it blend veges?

No I wouldn’t recommend it for chopping veggies, especially hard ones like carrot and celery, doesn’t matter how long you blend it for it’s still lumpy, you have to chew your smoothie!

Hi can anyone comment on the Breville Kinetix Pro if it can crush ice like 'slushies'? Thanks for any answers!

The Kinetix Pro is great for crushing Ice to a snow like consistency! There's even an ice crush button!
Yep. I make margharita cocktails and the breville has no problem crushing ice to a slushy consistency.
