Best Kettle
Of all the kettles I've had over the last few years, this one has got to be the best. It's not loud, boils quick and looks great. One of the best kettle purchases in a while but very pleased with this one.
Purchased in June 2021 at David Jones for $55.96.

Best kettle we have ever had
We purposely went looking for a red kettle for various reasons. The BKE620R was smart looking, had a good feel and it carried the Breville name and we have been happy enough with other Breville products that we own. It might 'just' boil water but there are things that you notice after purchase where you think 'that was a good idea to design it like that' . Going back to the store this afternoon to buy a Breville toaster to replace the 'other brand' that we purchased at the same time (a month ago) and has been a big disappointment.
Warm Cranberry colour. Very quiet !. Cord storage that actually works !. Water level window on both sides of the kettle. Easy to see 'ON' light.

According to the manual this kettle is fitted with a safety device, which protects against overheating should the appliance be operated with insufficient water and for additional safety is also fitted with an additional thermal cut out which in the event of overheating, the kettle will automatically shut down to prevent further damage and should this occur, take your kettle to an authorized Breville Service Centre. I suspect that one of these safety cut outs in your kettle is faulty. Hopefully you may receive a warranty replacement from the place of purchase.
That's one reason why Breville stopped making the BKE620. $60 might seem like a lot to pay for a kettle but it costs a little more than that to get a good quality product. At the moment (May 2017) that means $100+

Where can I buy a replacement lid for bke620b electric kettle?

Try contacting Breville directly - they should be able to help you. If still within the warranty period they should replace the kettle.
