Brother HL-L2300D cheap and easy
Setup was a breeze (for anyone who knows how to set up printers with toner and drivers and such). Worked perfect straight away. Quick and easy. Cheap price. Pity the colour versions cost so much. Also an all-in-one at a better price would be good. Brother looks like it's one of the more superior manufacturers for quality, price and simplicity.
Purchased in March 2021 at Big W for $129.

Great little laser printer, so cheap to run
Needed a cheap and reliable printer and had enough of messy ink jet printers. This little laser printer is fast, reliable, clean and cheap to run. Highly recommended for people who don't need colour prints.

I have loved all my brother printers over the years and this is the same
I have been using brother printers since 2001 with my first business. Like all the brother printers I have had this printer doesn't disappoint. I had to replace my old brother when I left my last employment as it was owned by my employer for use for working at home. I decided to replace it with just a newer version of the same printer.
I find I can get many prints out of each cartridge and unlike other brands when it finally tells you its time to replace the toner it is actually empty. This is annoying with other brands of laser printers I use...
Read more in which you can still get many prints out of it even when it tells you its empty - but I haven't found this issue with this brother laser printer. It is quite a fast print from my mac and I had no trouble in installing. My teenager sons can easily unplug the usb and plug it into their laptops without any drama to also use the printer when required. I find this very important with everyone sharing the one printer when needed. The quality is fantastic for a monochrome laser printer. I use it alot for doing worksheets for my kindy child and word documents. It has been very reliably and so has all the brother printers I have owned over the years. I would def recommend this printer if your after a black and white printer for a small office, home office or doing word and accounting work at home.Purchased in March 2020 at Big W for $129.

Great little Mono Laser Printer for home use
When my previous Brother HL 5040 began to give paper feed problems after circa 15 years of use, and I was quoted $100 by a printer repairer to look at it, I decided it was cheaper to buy another Brother (because of the long life & reliability of the old printer) costing under $80 including delivery .
The HL L2300D does all I need for a home printer, - economical mono laser printing (supplied toner cartridge OK for 700 pages but non-genuine replacement toner cartridges OK for 1200 pages @ $14 on ebay) that produces good text print quality. I...
Read moret has a 250 sheet inbuilt paper tray + manual feed tray which deals with envelopes etc., + will do automatic duplex printing. The USB connection (for trouble free networking) to PC is not supplied in the box, but I used the old one from the previous printer. Easy install from CD & working faultlessly with Windows 10. Good reviews on various web sites for this model as a basic trouble free printer. Total cost including delivery was under $80Find out how Brother HL-L2300D compares to other Printers
