What a morally corrupt and unethical business. Standard email regarding my cancelled flights, and want fees to rebook. No replies to questions, cannot contact. Now with ACCC, OFT and bank.

We booked our flights in November 2022. Both Aunt Betty and BYOjet holds our payment even though the airlines cancelled our flight and does not charge cancellation fee. They both do not reply or answer ph calls! This BYOJet company owned by Flight Centre as well as Aunt Betty. Both daughter companies refuse to refund money to customers whose flight were cancelled. There are heaps of complain, but they are hiding, not replying and firmly holding money that they did not earn

Rude and disgusted customer service! Never recommend!

I would like 0 star. Staff is rude and not listening to customer’s needs and concerns. They must learn how to ask questions before they are given their jobs. Have been following up with them for more than 2 months for a refund of a flight that was cancelled by the airline. Airline agreed to refund without a fee, but Byojet never take any actions to refund the money to their customer. I waited more than 1 hour on the phone (about 5 calls over 2 months period) just to hear their staff questioned “why are you calling us today?” “ I am hanging up now”. And she hanged up while I was still talking. What kind of customer service is that. Rude and disgusted. Daylight thief! Do not use them.

When a flight is cancelled why should the consumer be penalised. The costs involved in changing flights or a refund are ridiculous. Particulary when it is not your request. If BYO Jets survive this pandemic I would be very surprised how long they will be in business for as they are rorting the system. If they had half a brain they would make the most of an amazing marketting venture and do the right thing by their customers. They are not easy to get hold of.... my 300 dollars a ticket to request a refund under these circumstances is nothing on what they have to lose.

The lack of realistic options during this pandemic is disgusting. Charging huge fees to change and cancel flights at a time when it is not safe to travel and people are losing jobs is disgusting. This is the last time I will ever use this company!

BYOjet is the worst out of all of them. I have been waiting weeks just for acknowledgement of my request for credit voucher as per qantas policy let alone actioning it. They refuse to answer phones, emails and Facebook. They are unprofessional and quite clearly hoping that if they don’t respond or acknowledge that the booking never existed. I had other bookings with ifly.net and flight centre which have been acknowledged and actioned. This company needs to be investigated for fraud and theft and when this is over I will be seeking legal action

I have been trying for over 2 weeks to get a refund on my tickets as per qantas approval but byo jet never picks up their calls. Qantas promises their customers full credit refund for flights cancelled before 31 March to NZ. They even trying to charge Extra fees after the fact even though it was cancelled 2 weeks ago. So they take my $1300 which the airline promise to refund in credit then they try to charge me a $600 fee even though im already back in 2 weeks after my flight, i had to book an earlier flight with jet star to make it back before the quarantine rules kicked in on Monday 1am.. almost $5000 out of pocket now this is just crap!

They only offered credit after our flight got canceled and would not tell us how much credit we would get back. They said we had only 10 months to use this credit before it expired.

My flights have been cancelled by Cathay that I booked through BYOjet. Cathay have refunded all the money and waived all fees to BYOjet. But when the refund gets passed onto me BYOjet charge $250 per passenger to process the refund thus costing me $500.

Rudest service ever! I have just spent over an hour on hold to get the BYO jet booking number as they have never provided that to me, and I was hung up on before even being able to ask. I understand you have priority service for those leaving in 24 hours, however this is plain unacceptable. They force you to request a refund via there online platform, but ask for details which are not in there itinerary or booking confirmation.

I am trying to get a refund for my ticket as I need it as a matter of urgency, due to financial issues in my home country.

They are also charging $350AUD for refunds... How is this allowed when it's the airlines which are cancelling the flights, and making the trip impossible.

My ticket is held by Lufthansa purchased via BYOjet. Lufthansa said they are waiving the $300 cancellation fee with requests for refunds. Why are you BYOjet charging a $250 fee? This is already on top of been charged over $500 to change my ticket when originally purchased and something the airlines would never have done. You may win in the short term but remember if you continue with such a policies it will hurt your business immeasurably in the future, in indeed if you are still around. I, like many, have grave concerns about my credit shell to be used when it is possible to travel.

Charging $250 aud to process a refund per passenger during an Australian travel ban as a result of covid 19 or a $55 processing fee but the trip must be made within 12 months of date of purchase. This is still impossible during the travel ban. Ridiculous policies without considering extenuating circumstances as they only want to profit during a time where jobs are lost, people are dying and many continue suffering. Shame on you!!!

Airline has already refunded them (was told that by airline) but BYOJET won't refund me. They take $350 as a cancellation fee when the airline charges $0. Even holding a credit with the airline results in a "nominal" BYOJET charge of $55 when the airline charges nothing. Disgusting that they would use a situation where people are losing their lives to make money.
When this is over, make them pay by avoiding them. they're often a little cheaper but they should be held to account for their lowlife behaviour.

I booked flights that were ultimately cancelled by the airline. Flight was due to depart yesterday, but I have not had any communication or contact from BYO Jet to advise on refund. All phone lines have been disconnected, and they have removed the email contact details from the website. There is no way to contact this company or find out how to get a refund.
Does anyone else think the 5 star reviews for BYO Jet on this site seem a bit fake?

Why would they send an email asking if I want to cancel my ticket with $600+ of fees (do I have to pay extra if this sum is more than my ticket?), while they know the flight will be cancelled and all passengers should be eligible for a full refund?
Not good, not good.
