Where is the battery

Hello Marley,
The battery is located below the headlight. To access it you pull the front cover above the headlight forwards and then pull it upwards. It takes a bit of force.
There is an instruction decal at the rear of the front cover outlining battery removal.
If you need any further assistance please give us a call on 1800 088 567.
Kind Regards,

All Terrain CMX186

My revers/accelerator pedal on my Razorback CMX186 just failed (bent I think) while I was mowing and I could not slow or stop it with the pedal and I ended up driving through a wire (fortunately not barbed-wire) fence breaking the wire with my forehead. The only way I could stop the mower was to turn the motor off. I have emailed my local mower shop but as it is ANZAC Day I won’t get a reply until at least tomorrow. I see from the Internet that it is recognised that the CMX186 has a weakness in the metal of the accelerator/reverse pedal. Could you tell me please how will this be fixed for me? That is, will the whole mechanism be replaced? Can you also tell me if I have to pay for this or is it fixed free of charge because it is a design flaw?

Hello Julie,
Thank you for your question. The failure you have described isn't consistent with the few number of bent pedals we have experienced. Bent reverse pedals are a result of excess force being applied to the reverse pedal, which result in a lack of max reverse speed, not what you have described. Could you please contact us direct on 02 6923 0000 and we will work through this with you?
Thank you

I was mowing flat ground with just grass on it. What ‘excess force’ could occur in just taking my foot of the accelerator and trying to reverse as I was tidying up around a tree near my fenceline?

I would like to have my questions answered online as I think everyone else needs to know how this will be addressed. It is interesting that you say it must be because of ‘excess force’ applied to the reverse pedal, where as the local dealer when he called today in response to the email I sent yesterday was that I must have ‘smashed into something’.

We have had a demonstraion and we are considering a CMX186 for our 2 acre steepish property having read the reviews below we have a couple of questions.
Q1 Why does your machine headings to replies to problems not relate to the model of the owner
ie: Owner CMX 186 and your reply heading is for model CMX 227

Q2 From what Chasis / Engine Serial Numbers of model CMX 186 have the modifications to:-
(a) the strengthened foward / reverse pedal
(b) the rubber protectors for the air filter and starter motor.
(c) what if any is the extra price of the seat with arms
(Note we were unable to log into your suggested area re seats)

Thanks

Hi Team

Not sure why the questions where confusing:

Q1. The canycom replies are confusing, We were looking for information on the 186 but the replies are all headed 227 : WHY?

Q2. The canycom owner reports and questions clearly indicate that:-

(a) there were problems with the forward reverse pedal bending, the canycom reply indicates the pedal has been strengthened:
From which manufacturers CMX 186 serial number / Chassis/ engine number was this modified part fitted?

(b) There were problems with the air filter clogging with dirt and dust. The canycom reply indicates the a rubber protector was fitted
From which manufacturers CMX 186 serial number / Chassis/ engine number was this modified part fitted?

(c) There were problems with grass jamming the starter motor, The canycom reply indicates the a rubber protector was fitted
From which manufacturers CMX 186 serial number / Chassis/ engine number was this modified part fitted?

We wish to know this so we are sure we are purchasing a CMX186 which has all the current modifications fitted.

Thanks

I have cmx186 and need to replace the rear tyre. Can someone please advise which nuts to remove to take off the wheel?

Hello Wayne,

There are two different nuts on the Razorback Wheels. The smaller Silver ones hold the two parts of the rim together and there is 6 on the back wheels and 4 on the front. The larger gold ones hold the wheel to the hub on the machine and there are 4 on the back and 4 on the front.
I trust this helps? If you have any further questions I would recommend you take your machine to your closest dealer.
Thank you.

Have not seen the exclusion mat, hard to imagine its benefit, but may be wrong, the carby/air cleaner is just too enclosed for its own good.A local mowing contractor is making a new setup??
