No one I've asked who are with cbus has been paid yet. Other funds have paid in as little as 48hrs.

After filing a formal complaint to CBUS and AFCA, and a phone call to Cbus asking to speak to a supervisor did I make progress today. Funds have been taken from my account. Hopefully to be in my account within 3 business days.

No been a few days so far have 3 super funds went with these clowns had the most funds big mistake .Their carrying on like a pack of spoilt kids
.They should just pay the money asap stop procrastinating because there big loss is going to be on the next instalment and instead of yaking ot put of another fund ? Yep u guessed it cbus again and whats left is going into another fund so let them go other funds are turning it around in 2 days .They have no empathy or understanding of why were doing this sitting here going broke with bills piling up .The 56 billion dollar fund will be a third of its former self by xmas and its there own stupidity greed because were holding it as long as we can ..Everyone wake up pull out and revenge will be sweet. They will lose more from thisact of greed 10k+10k + whatevers left is gone mmmm 5 days and rudeness can be most expensive alot more than 2-3days and 10k DI$#HEADS

I rang today and bloke told me now it's 10 days I said I'm starving he said there doing there best as soon I do get payment I will transfering rest of my super to a super fund that does what they say

You would be mad to willingly become a cbus member. Unless Incompetence, zero customer service and blatant dishonesty are what you look for in a superannuation fund.

Go to your Centrelink account, go to documents then request a document and choose income statement from the drop down menu and on the second page at the top it will have your date of grant then it's 26 (consecutive) weeks from that date that you are eligible to request a financial hardship early release.

This took about 3 weeks in my situation. A friend got his in two weeks. I hope this helps.

If your hardship claim is for TPD as mine is it's been 12 month still no finalisation. They have tried every angle to dispute my claim even though I had medical specialist evidence to prove it. Keep fighting them and TAL who is the insurer. I saw a lawyer and he said most people drop out as they make it so hard. I won't give up and if they reject it next step is going to Superannuation complaints tribunal. There they have to abide by decision including damages. My amount is not huge but principal makes me follow it through to the end. I have paid the insurances for over 15 years and I am entitled to the funds of there policy. Good luck keep fighting don't give in to the tricks they will try on you.

My comment was more on the fact they did nothing to assist with getting my money. Do you want to access your super for self managed super fund? it depends on what you want to do with the money. Of course it can be accessed but not for personal gain as such. Sorry you are out of work. Can I ask how long you have been unemployed? Are you looking for work? Where do you live?
