Hi Paige, Great to hear you have started the Rapid phase of the Celebrity Slim Program! So, the list of Friendly Vegies on our website ( is designed to guide you on the types of foods that you can use to build your healthy balanced main meal. Vegetables are wonderful slimming foods and a wide variety will keep your meals interesting, colourful and tasty. But there are some you'll need to avoid - generally the starchy ones like potato and pumpkin. In the list of friendly vegies, the quantity you can eat is generally unlimited, unless otherwise stated (i.e. some should only be enjoyed in moderation). You should try to have at least 3 cups of these vegetables daily. As a general guide, your dinner plate should be about 1/4 protein food and 3/4 vegetables.

On The Rapid Phase, your daily meal plan includes 3 x Celebrity Slim Rapid Shakes or Rapid Bars plus 1x healthy balanced meal and 2 litres of water (plus other allowed drinks listed on the Friendly Foods website page). This means that snacks are not included in the Rapid Phase of the program (however, they are incorporated into the Trim Phase). The exception to this rule, is that, as we stated earlier, the quantity of Friendly Vegies that you can consume on any phase of the Celebrity Slim Program is generally unlimited (except for those marked as 'in moderation'). So, if you wanted, you could enjoy friendly vegies as "free food" to keep you going in between meals on the Rapid Phase. Think fresh chopped vegies (always a great idea to have these on hand at work or in the fridge for when you feel peckish. Cooked vegies, or soup made with allowable veggies is another great option.

I need to try something to lose weight. Sadly I find it quite difficult to stay motivated but I have determination and a goal to lose say 10kg by New Years Eve, 2014.
I am currently 79kg and 163cm.
Your product was recommended to me and I will venture to the stores today to make a purchase.
Based on the reviews, which are predominately positive, if I follow this correctly I will achieve my goal.
Do you have any further advice that may be useful?

By following the Celebrity Slim Program you can certainly achieve your goal of losing 10kg. In terms of the rate of weight loss you can expect, everyone is different and it important to realise that your results can be dependent on a number of different factors including your age, gender, your basal metabolic rate, how much weight you have to lose, your previous eating habits, whether you are incorporating any exercise and of course how well you stick to the program. That said, our data suggests that most people will lose between 1-3kg in the first week and between 0.5-1kg each week thereafter. This is a safe and steady rate of weight loss which will ensure you don't put the weight back on later. Some people will achieve much better results than this, whilst some people may find their progress slower. If you are incorporating exercise, you will likely see improved results.

There are just over 4 weeks from now until new years eve, so for you to achieve a 10kg weight loss by then you would be looking at a rate of weight loss of around 2.2-2.5kg per week. This is not impossible, but it is higher than the average rate of weekly weight loss. It is very important to have realistic expectations, otherwise you risk setting an unrealistic goal and then giving up because you haven't achieved it as quickly as you'd like. We would recommend that you start the program keeping in mind that you should expect to be able to comfortably lose around 4-7kg in 4 weeks. If you lose more - great! If not, you can simply continue following the program until you achieve your goal.

Hi Aj, Celebrity Slim is perfectly safe to use whilst you are trying to conceive. In fact, statistics show that losing just 5% of your body weight can significantly improve the chances of conception.

You improve your chances of conceiving if you're at, or close to, your healthy weight before you fall pregnant. You can calculate your body mass index (BMI) using the BMI calculator on our website. This will show if you fall within the healthy range. Ideally, your BMI should ideally be between 18.5 and 25 at the beginning of pregnancy.

However, because the Celebrity Slim Program is based on a reduced kilojoule diet, we do not recommend it for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding as the diet may not contain enough nutrients to support the needs of both mum and baby. So once you have successfully conceived, we recommend that you stop following the program. Once you are no longer pregnant or breastfeeding, you could certainly begin the program again. Hi Kimmar1, Thanks for your question! The Celebrity Slim Program is not a 'no' or 'low' carbohydrate eating program - it does allow a regular intake of healthy fibrous carbohydrates. But compared to a traditional Western diet, it contributes about 1/4 of the amount.

On the Rapid Phase, simply consume 3 x Rapid Shakes (or Rapid Bars) and 1 x healthy balanced meal plus 2 litres of water each day (plus allowable drinks of your choice). Snacks are not included as part of the Rapid Phase of the program. However, as per our program guidelines, the quantity of allowable friendly vegetables you can enjoy is generally unlimited (except for those listed as "in moderation") on any of the Celebrity Slim Phases. So, you can certainly enjoy extra allowable veggies as snacks to tide you over between meals on the Rapid Phase. All other types of snacks should be avoided on the Rapid Phase. I've been on the CS rapid phase for 3 days now. I've found the shakes aren't keeping me full enough. So I've been cheating slightly and having a weight watchers bar or banana when I start to feel light headed. I also haven't lost any weight yet. Is that normal? Or will it take time for my body to adjust?

Hi Hallikin, When you follow the Celebrity Slim program correctly, you will certainly see results. You shouldn't be feeling hungry on the program, so here are a couple of suggestions and pointers: Are you drinking at least 2 litres of water each day? Remember, we often mistake the feeling of thirst for hunger, causing us to reach for food when in fact we're simply dehydrated. If you're feeling peckish between meals, have a glass of water and see how you feel. You shouldn't be needing to snack on the Rapid phase, so if you are truly feeling hungry, we recommend that you move onto the Trim phase which accommodates for 3 healthy snacks between meals. What times of day are you eating? This can impact your satiety levels, depending on how far apart each meal is spaced and what times you are eating in conjunction with your waking hours and other activities.

Regarding your weight loss, it is still early days (we recommend you weigh and measure yourself once a week), however the fact that you are incorporating snacks into the Rapid Phase will likely slow down your results. The snacks you have mentioned are also not approved program snacks - for the full list of friendly foods that you can enjoy, check out this page on our website: There are lots of yummy vegies and fruits you can snack on during the Trim Phase, however bananas should be avoided as they are too high in carbohydrates.
What are you eating for your main meal and at what time of day? Switching your routine around so that you have your main meal earlier in the day (think breakfast or lunch) will allow you to consume the bulk of your food earlier in the day and let your body burn it as fuel for energy throughout the day.

Do you have to drink 3 lots as stated on container then your evening meal??? As I am finding having 2 drinks is hard to fit in and am forcing myself to eat food

Without following and sticking to the program correctly, we can't guarantee you'll be able to achieve the best possible results. Also, keep in mind that we have specifically and carefully designed our program to ensure that you are receiving the right nutritional balance of protein, fibre, carbohydrates, fat to sustain your daily needs (whilst also facilitating weight loss). By skipping shakes/meals, you will not be receiving a complete nutritional intake. For the Rapid Phase, we recommend you consume 3 x Rapid Shakes plus 1 x healthy balanced meal (and 2 litres of water) each day. Remember, Celebrity Slim shakes are meal replacements, so you should be having them in place of your breakfast and lunch (this may seem obvious, but worth reiterating just in case). Can't get into your website but i bought a heap of rapid bars
How can I consume these in order to trim down the waist line? Are they meal replacements or snacks? And should I only eat them when exercising?

hi, I use the bars as either a snack or for dinner, I do count calories, and stay around 1200 per day, its up to you whether to use them when exercising, but for me its all about the 1200 calories intake.

i started the celebrity slim 5-6 months ago and trained hard as well and lost 3 half stone I have just found out im pregnant with my 6th baby im 7 weeks now is this stuff safe while pregnant at all I love the stuff and so used in takeing it everyday now id to miss not havein it as much as I do can anyone help as I don't want to be damageing my baby if its not safe at all?

I am 5'7 and 10st 5lbs, put on 7 lbs since Christmas and want to get it off - I exercise and eat healthy in general really and the 7 lbs has been a result of xmas and two holidays. I'm Starting celebrity slim tomorrow, I haven't brought it yet but I was pretty much wondering if it was possible to lose 7cm of my waist and stomach in 5.5 months if I weigh roughly 85kg If I following the diet plan?

Oh definitely, if you stick with it you'll easily go down 2-3 sizes in that period. Just keep an eye on snacks and stay away from alcohol. You want to stay under 4500kj a day and get some light exercise 3 times a week. Good luck!

I was wondering for the meal replacement shakes what disadvantage am I at if I mix these shakes with skim milk instead of water ? I'm not liking the water mix I'd prefer milk. ???

You could mix the CS Rapid with skim milk or milk substitute (it's made to be mixed).

But there's already powdered milk in the Meal Replacement Sachets, by the time you put the milk in it - even skim milk - there would be so many calories in it you'd be better off with a meal anyway, so you'd end up wasting your money!

Hi I am looking into starting celebrity slim I was just wondering what time of day do you usually have your shakes and your balanced meal

Hi, I'm a shiftworker, so I have no set time, really. What I will do is have a shake for breakfast, and my meal between 6pm-8pm depending on my work hours.

The other 1-2 shakes I try to space out evenly between breakfast and dinner so I won't get hunger pangs. Every 4-5 hours? If I'm going to the gym I try to get the shake in about an hour beforehand so I have some energy, one of the downsides of turning off the "hunger" is you feel weakish and don't know why. (Normally you'd be ravenous!)

We recommend to have two meal replacements a day. You can either have the meal replacement at Breakfast and lunch, Lunch and Dinner or Breakfast and dinner.
There are no set times as everyone is different.

I'm not sure, I havent tried it with water. Keep in mind that means you will be getting less energy so you might not feel the best..
One week might not have been long enough for you to see results. Also, make sure you arent eating carbs!! If the meal you're eating or the snacks are carbs then it wont work. Just protein and fruit/vegetables.

You absolutely need to have it with low/no fat milk. And the main meal needs to be MINISCULE. ie, Dinner would all fit in a large coffee-cup.

So I've been trying to find something that I could use to replace foods - I am interested in the shakes and if someone would be able to give me se advise as what to try, how often to have them and for how long? I would start on the CS rapid program which is quite strict on calories. The program is simple, 1 rapid shake in the morning, 1 for lunch and a health dinner. This approach does not allow for any snacks as it is the rapid phase. However, I still have a piece of fruit for afternoon tea and in the evening as I get hungry and some side effects of CS is becoming constipated (the fibre in fruit helps). I find as the CS rapid shake are made with milk they make you fill fuller. I am in week 6 and lost 4kgs. Stick with it, you may have a week (or a few) where you don't lose much (or anything).
