No, that isn't a Crockpot! This is a Crockpot.
The Crockpot CPE300 is massive! But is it worth the investment in Kitchen Space to say nothing of cash investment?
First the sort of bad news:
It is LARGE compared to other El Cheapo Crockpots.
The recipes that come with the Crockpot are confusing. eg the recipes mention the Brown/Saute button on quite a few of the recipes, but there are two different buttons marked Brown/Sear and another marked Saute. If they have the same function, why have two buttons? And there is a confusing explanation of the differences between the two buttons (on page ...Read more
17) of the instructions. The recipes also mention the Rice/Risotto button which does not exist, but there is a Rice/Grain button. When we first used it as a pressure cooker, the "Bobber Valve" description should explain the fact that it releases steam at the beginning of a pressure cook because we were confused when it did, and assumed that we had done something wrong and took the lid off to check. The above could be seen as nit-picking, but this device is so capable of doing so many things that a new user needs to be sure that they are using it correctly. Now the good news: Because of it's size, we thought it would suit a large family, BUT it really suits any size family due to it's versatility. This is a fantastic addition to any kitchen. It can do almost anything. It slow cooks. It browns. It can make a roast including vegetables in a jiffy. It makes great YOGHURT for heaven's sake. The pot has a robust Non Stick coating (Really!) We made a Yoghurt after pressure cooking a roast chicken and cleaning the pot and didn't end up with chicken flavoured Yoghurt next morning.
Purchased in June 2021.

Love this appliance!
I got this just over a month ago, after doing six months of research. Originally I wanted an Instant Pot, but you can't get them in Australia without paying a small fortune to get one imported from the UK. But now I'm glad I didn't. The Multicooker works exactly like the IP and it's covered by warranty here in Australia.
I have used it at least 3/4 times a week since I got it. I love the fact that I can go from pressure cooker to slow cooker in the same pot. I've made some excellent meat, rice and beans that way. It's a very straight forward ...Read more
machine. It has a brown and saute function that I use, but they do run hot so I adjust the temp by turning them on and off. I only use them for a few minutes at a time anyway, so I'm fine with that. It's much easier than browning in a different pan on the stove and then adding it the cooker. The pressure cooker and the slow cooker perform as expected, and the results are always consistent. The rice setting works perfectly as well. I am hoping to try the yogurt setting this weekend, but I'm not expecting any problems. I was able to buy a bunch of accessories that are made for the IP but work perfectly in the Multicooker. I bought a large mesh steaming basket and have used it for a few things including making chicken stock. So now there are a heap more things I can do. The only thing that would make this even better is if Crockpot sold additional inner pots. That would really make this machine the perfect kitchen appliance...Here's hoping...Otherwise I love it!Purchased in May 2021 at Harvey Norman for A$169.00.

Hi, just wondering if the spare rings are available yet and where from? I saw an answer from customer care approximately 6 months ago that said they will be available in the new year?

will a Salbree Steamer Basket for 8qt Instant Pot Accessories, Stainless Steel Strainer fit into the Crock Pot CPE300?

Hello Sandi,
I can't say for sure if it will because they might be the same size as each other and won't fit. The CPE300 bowl is a 7.6 Litre bowl and the 8qt Instant pot steamer is about the same size. .
Maybe take the steamer bowl and try on a store display model before purchasing.
