This "service" is disgusting
Please use menulog, deliveroo, suppertime or anyone but these jokers. An absolute disgrace and never have I dealt with such inept, poorly run and farcical organisation as this one. I am disappointed that 1 star is the lowest ranking I can give them. It seems like a compliment for this pack of jokers.

Pickup Hero
I ordered and then received a phone call from customer service saying that they couldn't deliver and I had to pick up my order. Given the destination was 7km away and I don't own a car, I cancelled the order! Customer service agent on the phone was good, they gave me a voucher to use on my next order which was considerate.

Lots of room for improvement
Nice to deal with but my order didn't make it to the restaurant apparently. I don't actually know what went wrong but at this stage I don't really care because it wasn't something on my end.
Refund takes a few days so best not to do what I did and spend the last of your money on food through them without a back up plan. I guess its Vegemite on toast tonight because I tried to order like a hipster by using an app on my phone instead of using the phone to actually call the restaurant. To be honest this would have solved my problem because then I would have known if the restaurant got my order immediately.
Perhaps I will start up an Instagram account so I can upload photos of my toast and #cheersdeliveryhero #deliveryherofail.

Shortly after my experience with your service a friend introduced me to a competitor of yours. I have been using Menu Log for the last 4 weeks now, including tonight, so far it has been without flaw. I would prefer to stay true to the service that works rather than deal with pointless internal investigations, especially after reading the experiences of others whom have traveled down that path. Friday night fail
Terrible experience! I ordered pizza on a Friday night for my flatmate and I and after incorrectly putting my payment details in once, the lady on the phone told me to put my order in again. So I went back and put it through properly and again it said cancelled. I called again and they insisted they didn't have my money and told me to call my bank. So I did. They said a transaction definitely went through. I called back Delivery Hero and the guy didn't seem to care too much. He said they still did not have my money. I demanded them to fix it and eventually he said he would call the restaurant. Someone else called back later and said that actually they did have the payment. I asked for a refund. Definitely sticking to Menulog!!

Delivery Hero Customer Service
Ordered food from local restaurant and input code FOODFRENZY (cut and paste from email). Paid via Paypal. Did not give me $15 discount. Attempted to ring Delivery Hero but always received the "We are busy but you can leave a message." So I left message, 4 days later still waiting. NEVER EVER use them again. Next step, Department of Fair Trading.

False advertising
I received a voucher for a 15$ discount that was meant to last until tomorrow (30/11) but that ended up not working a full day before. I called the customer service to ask what was wrong and after being on hold for 7 minutes I was told the voucher had been canceled before the date initially advertised. I won't be ordering with them anytime soon.

Online customer service just added to my annoyance
On 2 separate occasions, my vouchers didn't go through. The first time, I got refunded immediately when I called. The night before last, another voucher didn't go through and I called them yesterday morning only to be promised a refund. But come night time, no money had been refunded. I just contacted them via live chat and as I told the person chatting to me then about my issue, he never even apologised for my inconvenience until I started complaining about how I didn't get why I had to contact them twice. 50% Quality, 100% Rip off
Tried Delivery Hero for the first time last night after noticing an advertised deal of 50% off on selected food outlets by using their app.
Turns out 50% of the curry we ordered (from Delicious Curries) contained water - all after an hour long wait for the food.
So much for a discounted meal. Thank you Delivery Zero.

Bait and Switch..
Exactly as the title suggests - ordered a few times and the delivery was on time with the estimated arrival.
THEN.. The last order we received was 30 minutes late.. With no justification or compensation whatsoever.
Very, very disappointed and will not be using this service again.
Restaurant food was impressive every time.

Hi DH. So, as you have made it so very difficult for me to provide feedback on my last experience with you and the restaurant in question (Laughing Ganesha), I"m just going to leave it here:
There have been at least three occasions when my order was delivered on the wrong date/time. I like to pre-order, sometimes up to a day in advance as I can't place an order while I'm working. However, your pre-ordering system has failed me. The restaurant usually ends up delivering the food on the night that the order is placed and I get a series of call...Read more
s, texts etc (while I'm at work and obviously not home to receive the order) to tell me that they attempted delivery, but left etc and I will have to pay for redelivery if I want my food. These messages are from both DH and the restaurant! So I then have to call you when I get home from work to explain that if you have a look at my order, the delivery time is for the following day, so before you call/text/email me while I'm on shift, maybe check the details first. On the majority of occasions that this has occurred, DH has arranged for redelivery at the time stated on the order. However, on the last occasion, it was just so damn difficult. The restaurant apparently refused to accept responsibility for delivering on the wrong day, then my order was cancelled by DH, then reinstated by the restaurant, then cancelled again etc etc. So much time was spent trying to sort this mess out and then the restaurant actually delivered it again the following day, but the damage had been done and it felt like effort to even eat the food. I called DH the next day and requested that they send me the feedback email as I hadn't received it as per usual, and they assured me that it would be sent immediately, but I never received it. So I called again the next day and then again the next. I finally got an email from Ekomi (your feedback people) asking for the order details, right down to the item numbers of the food that I ordered before they could provide me with the feedback link...how the hell would I know that?! So in short: DH your service is appalling. And Laughing Ganesha in Lane Cove, your service was terrible (learn to read a docket) and your food was mediocre at best. It's all too hard to use DH and from now on, I'll order directly through trusted restaurants or cook for myself.2 comments

Pathetic
Not once but twice I have had an issue with this service!!! The first time they double charged my credit card and it took 3 days to give the money back the second time it took them 20 minutes to tell me that they couldn't put my order through after taking the money. I now have to wait for a 3-day refund.
THANKS ALOT delivery hero. I now have to pull dinner out of thin air at 10:30pm

Dont use delivery hero-they take your money without sending the order to the restaurant
Ordered food and they charged my credit card. After waiting over an hour for our food I called the restaurant and they didn't know anything about the order. Bloody useless.
I called delivery hero and the guy on the phone didn't really care - it was like he gets these calls all the time- didn't apologise and just organised a refund that I have to now wait 3 working days to get back.

Expensive garbage
On 17 August 2015 we ordered food for my son and myself from Delivery Hero. Total cost was $39.50, not a cheap meal for two people, so we were expecting something at least edible. It wasn't. The pizza consisted of scorched cheese on an oily, thick partially cooked base. The gnocci was a small number of white plasticky capsules floating in warm tomato juice.
We asked for compensation. We did not want a refund, but we wanted the company to acknowledge that the materials provided to us on that evening were not "food", and we wanted Delivery Hero to refund our payment to a suitable charity.
They have refused point-blank to provide any refund or other compensation.

Was double charged. Confirmed by my bank. Notified deliver hero who passed me around and denied everything and refused to refund. Tried to escalate but blocked and given the run around then ignored. Is only $80, but more the run around that i got.

Can't be trusted
I ordered a pizza from one of their partner restaurants based largely on the reviews appearing on the site.
Turned out to be one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. So much so, I ended up throwing most of it in the bin.
It was so bad, I actually went to the trouble of sending in a review to warn others not to buy from this rubbish restaurant. Delivery Hero haven't published my review, nor amended the ratings to reflect my dissatisfaction.
Now then, I don't blame Delivery Hero for the bad pizza, but I do blame them for the dishonest assessment of the quality of the restaurants.

Avoid this company, over an hour and a half of waiting after confirmation only to call through to the restaurant and make the order myself.
Restaurant had no record of the order I placed with delivery hero.
You would be better going with a company such as "EatNow" never had an issue with them.
