Do you mean for the part of the kettle that touches the water as this is stainless steel in the capitals range.
Hi there, no I meant the small caps which hold the water level guage in place.

No not stainless inside from memory. So, no-not safe to use. I've since bought an all stainless steel kettle from Kmart. The "quiet" boil kettle. It's fantastic!! I'll never buy a plastic kettle again.
Yeah, it's not stainless steel.
