Hello
Does it work without the hose
I'm not sure if this is normal I know its very loud in general but this is loud to a whole norther level, I think I can hear like... water or something in the ac and it sounds like a hose. I'm not sure if this is normal but if it is or isn't please reply and tell me.
If it is one of the models that have a water tank, it is a design feature that is normal. The water is pumped around to aid the efficiency of the motor. I have had two of these units and in my experience, over time that part will stop working effectively and you will see a loss of performance.
I have owned my 5000 watt Delonghi for 5 years. It worked perfectly till now. There is no power to the machine. Does it have a reset switch?
I had one that suddenly died like that too all of a sudden. I had to get it serviced by contacting Delonghi service. The man who came pulled a small board out and replaced it. I think one little component on the board just died.
Yes that happens to about everybody... maybe its time to get a new one. It's not worth fixing because the machine is already complete junk. if you looked inside of there you would probably find cheap metal that is rotting away day by day. If you do decide to get it fixed than something else would happen and you would have to keep getting it fixed. I don't recommend this machine at all. if your looking for something that's a good deal you have to be fast. I found a portable AC that's on sale if you want another one. from $800 to $449-https://www.dicksmith.com.au/da/buy/vostok-41kw-portable-air-conditioner-reverse-cycle/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=product_listing_ads&gclid=Cj0KCQiAw_H-BRD-ARIsALQE_2P9RifPdxxFdcA2v5hExxs9C2oqAmm1_wOZi75lnyUAvzHBl5Qk_zYaAvVQEALw_wcB . have a think about it I would say that it's worth it but at the end of the day its up to you. PS if the link doesn't work copy and paste it. if your also willing to pay an extra $100 here's a very good one (personally the one that I own) $1000 to $500. https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/vostok-52kw-portable-air-conditioner-reverse-cycle/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=product_listing_ads&gclid=Cj0KCQiAw_H-BRD-ARIsALQE_2PoSw35zyItSmRgZG6uNdImgq-VeVHcxTFd_viP3wgG9d3bLXWO9TkaArXNEALw_wcB

What does F1 mean
Hi Brian,
F1 often refers to an issue with water circulating in the machine. If you review the owner's manual, you'll note that with the F1 error, the air conditioner will still continue to function in "air-to-air" mode, just not "water-to-air" mode. The most likely causes are that either the Limescale Filter located under the unit needs to be replaced (This is a consumable part and is not covered under warranty), or, the water pump inside the unit may need replacing.
Please note that these are not the only 2 possible causes of the error, so don't race out to replace parts. The issue could also be caused by an airlock in the system, which is essentially where water gets in the lines or the pump and stops it from working.
I would recommend draining all water from the water tank at the bottom and from the internal tank using the hose at the rear. Once you've done this, allow the unit to dry with the tank open and all hoses unplugged (And the unit unplugged of course), for a good day or so. After this, before re-plugging the hole at the rear, blow in it to ensure there are no blockages. At this point and with all hoses plugged, plug the unit in at the wall and switch it on at the wall, but do not power the unit on. Hopefully, at this point you should receive no F1 error (The water tank is empty, and the float valve that tells the pump to switch on isn't telling the pump that it needs to try to pump water because there is none in the tank. Fill the tank with at least 4L of water. If the F1 error returns and you hear no noise, it may be because the float valve tells the pump to pump water and the pump isn't working. If you hear the pump begin to work but the F1 error returns, it could be because the pump is trying to suck water through, but the limescale filter is blocked up.
If the unit is still under warranty and you've tried replacing the limescale filter, I'd suggest calling DeLonghi. For me, they sent a tech out to replace the pump.
I hope this helps.
we have just bought an inverter aircon WE18INV. have had it running for 10 minutes & the F2 (inverter module failure) keeps coming on. Does plugging it into a power pack or straight into the wall make any difference? What is this & do we have to take it back to the shop?
Regards
Maureen Patterson
