Great drill
Nice little compact impact driver. Lots of good little extra feature such as LED light, belt clip etc.
Has plenty of power and good control using the trigger carefully.
The battery life is good though I've had more luck with some after market batteries I bought than with the original batteries.

Great compact impact driver
I bought this after using a mate's older Dewalt impact driver.
First job was assembling a steel deck. Driver easily drove over 600 Tek screws on a single 5.0Ah battery. I used the second torque setting and could have got away using the lowest setting. Easy to control the final impacts to ensure you don't round out your Tek screw heads.
Push button chuck release is simple to operate. The unit is very compact and can fit in the tightest spaces.
Next job will be driving M10x120 coach screws in 75mm thick treated pine sleepers. I'll be drilling pilot holes first...

Rubbish, Rubbish, Rubbish
Bought a DCF895XE Impact driver about 3 months ago. I used it twice (15min max) when it stopped working. Handed it in for repairs and one month later I'm still waiting for parts. A week ago I was promised the parts will arrive that week - did not happen. Today I've been told parts will be here this Friday. Who knows when I will get it repaired?
The short of it, if you buy Dewalt and it fails you are stuffed. Might not have your tool back for over a month! What point is a warranty if between Dewalt and their Service Agents they can't fix th...Read more
e tool in a reasonable time - say a week? I'm a builder and my tools are my business, not having the new impact driver is really a problem. I bought Dewalt thinking I'm buying a quality tool. What I got is complete load of rubbish. Dewalt has got no customer service centre you can call to try and sort it out. If you do want to buy quality product then buy the Milwaukee M18 Fuel - reviews are much better than that of Dewalt (I bought Dewalt since I already had Dewalt tools). The tool I bought was [censored word removed], who's to say if you buy one it won't be the same? Don't buy. New brushless motor stopped working after 15min. Couldn't even test the 80% more runtime....Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Big Impact on your work
This is my first use and ownership of an impact driver, I use it exclusively for screw driving and drilling. Although had to buy new hex head screw and drill bits. It's very well balanced and comfortable in the hand. Power it's got too much power, broken a few tapcons, that's where the 3 speed control comes in handy. The tool has 3 LED lights around the chuck that turns on with depressing the trigger and stays on for 20 second. Although you can press the trigger without starting the drill for the light to turn on.
3 LED lights
