Great drill

published

Nice little compact impact driver. Lots of good little extra feature such as LED light, belt clip etc.
Has plenty of power and good control using the trigger carefully.
The battery life is good though I've had more luck with some after market batteries I bought than with the original batteries.

Great compact impact driver

published

I bought this after using a mate's older Dewalt impact driver.

First job was assembling a steel deck. Driver easily drove over 600 Tek screws on a single 5.0Ah battery. I used the second torque setting and could have got away using the lowest setting. Easy to control the final impacts to ensure you don't round out your Tek screw heads.

Push button chuck release is simple to operate. The unit is very compact and can fit in the tightest spaces.

Next job will be driving M10x120 coach screws in 75mm thick treated pine sleepers. I'll be drilling pilot holes first...

Big Impact on your work

published

This is my first use and ownership of an impact driver, I use it exclusively for screw driving and drilling. Although had to buy new hex head screw and drill bits. It's very well balanced and comfortable in the hand. Power it's got too much power, broken a few tapcons, that's where the 3 speed control comes in handy. The tool has 3 LED lights around the chuck that turns on with depressing the trigger and stays on for 20 second. Although you can press the trigger without starting the drill for the light to turn on.
