Failed battery not replaced
My e-bike battery “failed” (Dillenger’s word after they tested it) after just 13 months of light duty. They offered a new one at a 10% discount – which would not even pay for my postage costs. I complained that other batteries often last 3-5 years, and mine was less than 10% through their specification of 1000 charge cycles. They refused to replace the battery and I have not heard from them since.
Dillenger admitted that they reduced their 2 year warranty to one year after 2014 because they are using a lower quality product. Yet they contin...Read more

No quality control and no customer service
Purchase 2 bikes long time for delivery, both arrived with problems spokes were so loose they were falling out we had to get it fixed at local bike shop, parts missing, it has taken 7 months to get the parts, they don't answer your emails or calls, then when they do they tell you they have sent parts, but still don't arrive for months, then sent wrong parts 3 times, absolutely no care, rude when you do get to speak to them, as if it's your fault, always ask you to send a video to prove you have a problem, no quality control and no customer service, they come straight from china. Don't buy from Dillenger Australia, not worth the hassle.

Hunter Off Road OMG
Every once in a while something comes along that transforms your very notions of time and space. Today this happened. I have been considering buying an electric bike for 5 years. Last week I took the plunge on the Hunter BBS and today I finally was able to take it out into the wild to see if it could live up to my expectations. I can confirm that this is a thing of pure beauty. It can do 50km/h on straight and 35km/k on an incline. The bike was packed well and shipped fast but missing a part. I contacted Dillenger who quickly rectified it by sending me the new part and did a follow up call to see if I was happy with everything.
If you are umming and arring about buying this Aussie then I highly recommend diving in.

Cheap and poor service
Bought a Hunter light and have had heaps of issues I had to get my local bike shop to fix as I could not get any response (apart from automated email) from Dillenger. I left messages on the phone and email with no response.
I've had to get spokes tightened that were loose from new, had to get new brake pads after 1600km, had to fix short in motor cables.

Pathetic Customer Service
Bought a Puma Electric bike, no manual available. When quizzed they told me to look at the Cheetah manual. Not much use as my bike:
1. Not foldable
2. Has disc brakes
3. Needs handlebars and front wheel installed.
4. Has a controller not shown in the manual.
Asked again, no reply. I hope people who but the expensive bikes get better service.

Pathetic customer service
After purchasing a 250w conversion kit on 2 sep 2015, I received no information about my purchase. On the 9 sep I followed up with a call and was told it shipped on the 7 sep and would have it by 11 sep. I called again on 15 sep and was told they would get back to me with an email of the con note number. I called back on the 16th and was given a con note number for direct freight. I entered the con note number to direct freight website, not valid, so I called direct freight, no delivery existed either con note or my name. I called dillenger and...Read more

Hello
Im sorry for the run around, I can assure you that we wouldn't say that something has shipped when it hasn't. I can only assume that it was a mistake on our behalf and for that I apologise.... Read more
I know that it is aggravating when there is no clear communication, and in this case we have clearly not provided concise and clear information to you regarding your shipment. All I can really do is apologise, and assure you that this isn't how we intentionally operate our business. Was this the 24" 250W Kit to Victoria? Just for my records, so I can be sure I've got all of the information on this case. Cheers JamesSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

missing part on bike still waiting from the beginning of August
Appalling customer service. Have been lied to continuously regarding a part I am waiting for. Visited Their Southport Location
On a recent trip to the Gold Coast, me and my hubby decided to pop in and visit the guys at Dillenger Gold Coast. We had been looking at purchasing an electric bike for a few months and found Dillengers' to be the best value. We test rode several bikes and fell in love. Sam and Fletcher were nothing but polite and accommodating.
We purchased two red Cheetahs the spot and they shipped them to us in Sydney the same day.
Highly recommended to anyone. So much fun!

Perfect Customer Service - Best range of ebikes I could find.
I received my Dillenger Leopard just the other day, I'll review that shortly. This is a review on the service I received from Dillenger whilst deciding on, and purchasing my e-bike.
Customer service was outstanding: I think in all, I had about 13 emails back and forth to their sales department
and a couple of phone calls; trying to decide on what I would prefer. A lot of silly questions from me, but the young man in sales was nothing but friendly and accommodating.
Thanks!

Terrible
I bought an e-bike kit and had to wait 3 month for delivery, due to a delivery backlog, I though they got bankrupt, but finally delivered it.
just after about 14 month the battery lost about 50% of its capacity and now makes a rattling sound when shaken.
I wasn't to worried as I had particularly chosen Dillenger because of the two years warranty they offered and because they seemed to be Australian based.
Well; First Dillenger claimed that they never offered a two year warranty. When I searched their web page I discovered that they chan...Read more
ged their T&C and now offered only 1 year. But on a more specific search I did find a Dillenger document that states the 2 year warranty. When I presented this document they suddenly remembers that they offered a two year warranty for a brief period of time. They than claimed that this offer was before I purchased my kit and because their document was not dated it was no prove of my 2 year warranty. I think that speaks for itself, I never kept T&C at time of purchase and what prove is that anyhow. This company is a fraud and should not be allowed to do business in Australia.Similar opinion? Dillenger DIY electric bike conversion kit
I am an older man on a disability pension and live car free using a recumbent bicycle for transport. I found fitting the kit quite easy with help of an online instruction video. The motor is powerful enough to pull uphill when towing a trailer full of groceries or 50kg of cargo. The lead acid battery has more than enough range to do the 9klm each way trip to the horse paddock while towing the fully loaded trailer with all the gear. I cannot sit comfortably in a car and this kit on the recumbent bike has greatly improved the quality of my life....Read more
There are things which could be improved. Both solder joints on the 3 way plug failed one after a few days and one after a couple of months. Luckily both happened at non critical times and my son who is an electrician easily repaired both to a better standard. The battery bag should have better attachment and be heavier duty. I use 2 bungee cords and velcro straps for extra attachment. The zipper broke early. Now years and ten thousand plus kilometers later I am updating. The lead acid batteries had a short life spans. After going through 3 lots I have upgraded to 36v20ah Electric Bike Bicycle eBike Lithium Ion Li-Ion Battery Pack 20amp BMS bought from ebay. I also purchased a replacement bag for the new battery from ebay. This setup is excellent. I have had to replace spokes in the power wheel several times. Also the bike uses rim brakes and the rim broke after 2-3 years. However I had the rim replaced and they fitted heavier duty spokes at the same time. All electronic components and the wheel hub still seem to be working fine. The set up as I now have it is great.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Stear clear of Dillenger!
I bought a Dillenger Outlaw which is an electric mountain bike in July 2014. They were super helpful and friendly before I bought the bike but as soon as I bought it and had trouble they didn't want to know me. Apart from the bent wheel, gears that weren't working, broken throttle and scratches on the bike, the main problem was the design of the bike. The heavy battery sits above all the wiring inside the frame. After only 50km of travel, the weight of the battery had completely severed one wire and damaged several others. I've been trying to g...Read more
et a refund ever since and am now having to threaten legal action to get my money back. Their solution to the problem after weeks of trying to get an answer was to put heavier wires in the bike. Not a solution in my opinion, it would just take longer to sever the wires.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Do Not Believe or Trust
I purchased a bike around 10 months ago from Dillenger Electric Bikes who were advertising at the time that the bike was Designed and made in Australia.
From the moment the bike arrived the rear brakes were not working.,
Contacted them several times and they treated me like an Idiot. We had a major bike shop try to fix the problem but they needed parts.Bike shop contacted Dillenger Electric Bikes and they responded with the answer of Oh no we do not carry any spare parts for this bike. At the moment the bike is totally useless as we can not get the rear drum brakes anywhere.
Probably the worst service I have encounted including dealing with overseas company.
No backup or spare parts

What are the dimensions for the battery for the arc feather kit
1 answer
From Dillinger below
The Arc Feather has a 250W motor, so the same power as our other Street Legal kits. The Off Road kits have more power.
A replacement battery would be $399.00. The battery sits in a bag together with the controller, and is meant to hang from the handlebars. The kit includes a thumb throttle and PAS. The battery bag is roughly 16 x 18 x 10 cm. You can see the warranty info here:
http://dillengerelectricbikes.com.au/customer-service/#answer3
As the Arc Feather is already on special there are no further specials on it.
