Same again
I have just moved to a new house and once again I bought a Dishlex Dishwasher !! This is model is better than the last one I had which lasted for over 10 years ! When you've had such a perfect machine, why change ??? I'm very happy with the size and the selection of washing options ! And it's very quiet !! And I always use Finish dishwashing tablets ! VERY PLEASED WITH THIS MACHINE

Dishhhhhlex - it really is so quiet
We decided on a moderately priced dishwasher so therefore it doesn't have all the bells and whistles like electronic buttons and displays. There is only a dial which sets the wash cycle that you want (for example, half wash, eco wash, pots and pans etc) and two buttons of which one is to start the cycle selected. Most days we use the eco wash which washes at 50C for 2.5hours. Not sure how economic this is when it is running for 2.5hours but according to the handbook it is the one that uses the least electricity/water combo including the half wa...Read more
sh! Would have preferred a shorter cycle that was just as economical to run. The dishwasher really is so quiet to run, it's really impressive. Sometimes I have to put my ear against the machine just to check that it really is running. If you forget a dish, or a piece of cutlery you can open the door and it will start up again after closing the door. The cutlery basket is very bulky and has slots for each piece of cutlery so it can sometimes be a waste of space if you don't have much cutlery. If your cutlery handle is slightly bulky, or you want to clean tongs etc it will not fit in the basket either which can be a bit annoying so I have to place in the top drawer on the upper shelves along the sides of the top basket.Similar opinion? Impractical, awful design.
This dishwasher is so difficult to pack as the top shelf is badly divided into 3 sections and then not flat, meaning arranging cups, glasses and containers is super awkward.
Bottom shelf layout is marginally better.
I pack this thing daily and every time it reminds me how hopeless a dishwasher can be.
Dishlex, what lemon!

Fabulous Product
This is a no nonsense dishwasher. It has simple features and is an efficient dishwasher. The longest cycle is about 45 minutes and a short cycle of around 30 minutes. It is water efficient as it has a half load wash. It is also quiet when it washes. We purchased the white one which we have installed in our holiday home which we use a maximum of 6 weeks in the year and did not want to spend over $1000. It does a reasonably good job in the short time that we have bought the dishwasher. We went for the white and purchased from the Good Guys as th...Read more
ey were able to deliver it the following day. We have also taken out the extended 3 year warranty . If you are looking for something without the bells and whistles, then this Dishlex dishwasher could be the one.

Prefer my old dishwasher - disappointed.
We bought another Dishlex after 15 years of very good use from our old one. But who would think a 15 years later model would not be as good? It's not. For one thing it has to be connected to the cold water inlet because it has an element inside to heat the water and dry off the dishes (although they are often still wet). Our old one was connected to our domestic hws, which is the economical way. The interior layout is ridiculous. It has 4 moveable :"shelves" fitted to the sides of the upper basket purportedly when lying flat to stack 2 la...Read more
yers of cups. Four intelligent people have tried to work out how to make them lie flat - also contacted Dishlex and asked how it was to be done and the reply was "unclip them, turn them over and clip them back in". That's impossible and we therefore have limited space for cups and glasses. Even one row of cups against the side walls fall over because the dopey "shelves" clipped back against the wall are in the way. We have taken them out altogether. We have to virtually jam glasses etc in so they don't fall over and smash and things like small plastic containers (which I used to put into my old model on the floor of the upper basket with a layer of cups on the little shelf above to stop them flipping over), will not stay in situ. Any saucers we try to fit into the racks in the centre will easily fall over or push the cups next to them away. Also, the old machine had a good cutlery container in the lower basket, one side of which had slots to hold cutlery in place without impinging on each other. The other side was open so that things like tongs and spatulas could go in. This model has the whole surface of the cutlery basket with slots, so only cutlery can go in, not larger things like tongs. We have taken the lid away completely. The machine is very quiet and washes quite well which are pluses, but I definitely would not buy a Dishlex again and could not recommend it for practicality.Similar opinion? Dishwasher
This is an extremely quiet dishwasher, it cleans very well and I only ever use the quick was. I purchased it from the Good Guys and was sold on price and efficiency. I purchased the white and it fits well in the hole my last one was in. The last one was very tight to get out but this went in very easily

Not as good as previous one I had for 22yrs
It cleans well and dries well.... Is nice and quiet when in operation but it does not hold as much... not as many glasses and bulky items even though it looks like it should. The spinning arm hits things so have to make sure there is nothing ton the way before i turn it on...and buttoms hard to push... I'm not 100% happy. Maybe too used to my old one...It will do....better than not having one....

Failed within 2 months and tried to rip me off
The led light on the panel failed to light up within the first month then it got flooded in the kitchen floor everywhere, damaged all my carpets and took my das to clean up all the soapy water, then it stopped within a few weeks, called them they said i have to pay $250 upfront for the repair man to come, then repair fee is another $600 depends on what parts need to be replaced, i was like this is gonna be a joke, cos i could buy a brand new dishwasher for $850. Never buy dishlex again.

Value for money
A well priced dishwasher which covers all the basics. Washes dishes and drys well on all cycles. Controls simple to operate without the bells and whistles on more expensive machines. No issues todate. Racks are a little on the flimsy side so their long term durability may be an issue. All things considered this is a reasonable entry model dishwasher and worthy of consideration.

NOT AS GOOD AS THEY USED TO BE
I went with a Dishlex because I loved my previous dishwasher. Very disappointed with this one. It is quiet but the layout of the shelves is very dysfunctional. Glasses do not fit properly and large plates continually fall over in the bottom shelf. Although the outside cabinet is the same size as my previous Dishlex the inside appears much smaller and I cannot fit anywhere near the amount I could before.

works well
cleans the dishes very well including the cutlery easy to load & unload like with any dishwasher always rinse your plates off before loading & the machine will do the rest let it go full cycle & everything will be dry to the point you just put the dishes straight away without having to wipe them down first

Half wash feature
Dishwasher is quiet and does the job. I’m disappointed with the top shelf as I have normal sized mugs and glasses but they don’t sit well and have to be placed at an angle through the middle ‘saucer’? racks. Who has saucers these days? However there is nothing in the manual to tell me what shelf to use for a half wash. When I bought it the salesman said it was the bottom shelf but I’m amazed that the manual doesn’t give any instructions.
I like the manual dial and basic switch features.

Great dishwasher. Dishes no longer a chore.
The dishes are left very clean nearly all the time. Just now and then there appears to be a residual stain left. All in all pretty jolly good. The sound of the dishwasher is a lot quieter than the last one i had, so pretty quiet really. My favourite feature is that you can do half a load if required. A very handy feature

Great little washer cannot beany happier with it.
Purchased this Dishlex dishwasher after previous Dishlex washer purchased in 1992 was a little marked on the door and I decided to update to better suit my kitchen colour. I decided on my new dishwasher because of the brand that had given so much good service.I was and am not disappointed with my choice. It cleans perfectly and dries as wel it is very quiet and sometimes I am not sure it is going it is so quiet. My favourite feature is the quietness.

Wet Wet Wet
Before I left for my holiday, I stacked and switched on the dishwasher. I came back 10 days later to find the dishes still wet!!!! The ceramic dishes were all dry, just the plastic ones had large droplets of water. Seeing has I have young children, the majority of my dishes are plastic.
It's obvious the drying mechanism is not up to scratch because even when I open it shortly after a wash, I find that the dishes are still soaking wet.
Dishlex is a brand I've grown up with and trusted for decades but unfortunately the brand is not what I remember it to be.

A good basic dish washer. Although it lacks a lot of bells and whistles it does a good job of cleaning the dishes and is very quiet. Easy to follow controls. Only feature I would have liked to have been included is a time remaining to cycle end indicator. However, overall I am very pleased with my Dishlex.

Dishing out great value!
As with all new products, read the instructions first. This is quite a good machine for the price. Made in Europe the stickers says. Poland is where it was actually built, which is not Italy, Austria, France and not quite Germany. It runs very quietly and is very water efficient compared to the old DX302. Loading the machine is easy and i do like the rubber grips on the top shelf for glassware. The lid of the cutlery container is a bit awkward to remove. I tend to use the 30 minute programme a lot as most my dishes rarely have caked on mess.

Horrible!
What a terrible dishwasher. The dishwasher does not clean dishes correctly regardless of how well you stack it and the quality/ type of tablets used, and trust me I have tried every combination. Dishes are constantly dirty at the end of the cycle. Dishwasher does not dry dishes either.
I would not recommend this dishwasher and suggest you steer clear if you enjoy your eat wear clean.

Good dishwasher for the price
Bought in January 2017 for around $600 including installation from 'leading appliances'. Washes very well & the motor is very quiet compared to my last dishwasher. I don't recommend using anything other than finish dishwashing tablets otherwise dishes don't dry properly. Would definitely recommend as a great entry level dishwasher.

poor cleaning
This has replaced a Bosch which was excellent until the mice chewed something and it was almost as expensive to repair as replace.
The Dishlex is noisier, which I can live with. The cutlery box and racks are only ok but I can live with that too.
The main problem is that it rarely cleans the whole load properly, especially the cookware. I am using Finish Quantum Max Powerball detergent and the glasses are still cloudy even with the rinse aid turned down. A further annoyance is that it fails to dry properly unless I happen to be there to open the door at the end of the cycle.
It is only a few months old, but I am considering replacing it with another Bosch if it can't be made to clean properly.
