Dulux Ceiling White

Have renovated 2 full houses top to bottom previously so plenty of experience painting.
After meticulous prep, painted two coats of Dulux ceiling white, in perpendicular direction to each other.
Coverage and colour was fine, however the finish is extremely poor in terms of patchiness. Shows up terribly during the day as the natural light comes through windows and highlights every roller and lap mark.
If it had been my first house, I would have blamed myself, but I painted correctly with a roller on pole and the paint was laid off evenly. No excuse for seeing lap marks considering it is 'flat' paint.
Very disappointed and will not be using Dulux again.

I was unfortunate enough to use this product to repaint a ceiling after patching from minor renovations. 3/4 of the ceiling was already painted from a couple of years ago but I re-painted anyway in attempt to get a uniform finish.

This product managed to make it look far worse than before. I'm so angry that I had to waste my time and energy persevering with this horrible product for my ceiling finish to actually go backwards.

Same issues as everyone else is reporting with this and other Dulux wash n wear products - the new recipe is too thic...

This product is terrible have used 10 litres resulting in patchy finish 3 coats!
Worse still used on wall to cover sample colour then applied wall paint and it won't cover has gone to orange peel!
Can't believe how bad this is!
Obviously a bad batch, how about a full refund ?
Will never use Dulux again and will drive extra 50 kilometres to Haynes store in Geelong

WE left it over night. It was a test patch on a clean bedroom wall. 2 coats were applied and you could still see the existing colour and the end result was very patchy.

Applied 2 generous coats of Dulux Ceiling White and was very disappointed with the finish. I have it a third coat and still it was patchy! Showing up flaws that I did not see previously! I chose Dulux thinking it was the BEST paint and premium quality to buy! Unfortunately I was wrong and wish I had read these reviews before wasting my money and an entire week of my time! Ii put a lot of a lot of effort into the prep work before painting and used an expensive roller! I don’t have the time or mental health to go through this and dulux really need to lift their game!

Every review read here accurately describes situation we are experiencing … coverage is poor leaving a patchy and streaky appearance in different light conditions no matter how many coats are applied.

I wish i had read the reviews on this ceiling paint, prior to purchase. This product is absolutely rubbish and not worth the money. After several attempts, the same patchy and uneven finish is the result, no matter how fast you try to apply it. It simply dries too fast. This paint has destroyed my ceiling and cost me a fortune to repair, despite using high grade rollers and equipement. Similarly, Dulux Wash and Wear Matt wall paint suffers the same problem. Will never buy a Dulux Paint product again.

Dulux Ceiling White is terrible to work with. I have painted many ceilings in my time but this is the first time I have used Dulux Ceiling White and what a nightmare! I have spent hours painting the ceiling in my large dining/living area by meticulously rolling small sections and feathering to blend each time only to see streaks and patches and uneven sections. Applied a second and then a third coat and with each coat I rolled the paint on in a different direction and feathered each time and my ceiling is still streaky, uneven and patchy. I am ready to tear my hair out. Not only have I wasted hours of my time using this horrible paint but I have wasted so much money and energy as well! I want a refund!

I have painted many ceiling in my life. I thought I purchased quality product but worse paint ever. So very patchy doesn't give good coverage at all. Never buy it again.

I just use the recommended undercoat, Dulux 1 step prep and let it set overnight . Then put 2 Coates of Dulux ceiling white 3 hours apart . Used a new roller but cleaned extremely well and dried between Coates. Came out perfect, no marks or discolouration.

Terrible coverage. Painted it on the kitchen/living room ceiling and it’s all patchy. We gave it two coats, but it still looked patchy. Thought it was something we had done wrong, even though I’ve painted several houses previously . Have just used it to paint the garage ceiling and it’s just as bad! Have given it three coats and the result is extremely poor. Different light levels show up different textures on the ceiling. Won’t be using Dulux ceiling paint again. I did however use Dulux to paint the interior walls throughout the house and exterior spoutings and the finish is excellent.

I have been using Dulux paints my entire life and have never had a problem however, this weekend I painted a ceiling with Dulux ceiling white and have streaks and patches similar to the other reviewers. all I’m asking for from Dulux is a refund for the paint. I’ve never had issues with Dulux before. By the way, we painted the walls with Dulux and had a perfect result.
The guy I spoke with at Dulux blamed the roller.

Wish I had read these reviews before I purchased this paint. Patches and lines everywhere, even after 2-3 coats. It was the most expensive ceiling paint at Bunnings too. The issue is not just the money spent, but the time wasted painting something that will have to be painted over again.

Purchased from Bunnings Shepparton 1/1/21. Painted under veranda on 3/1/21.
It’s drips really bad.
It didn’t cover like it used to.
You can’t see easily where you are up to.
Taking cost out has left me, the customer, with junk paint. Wow, didn’t expect this from Dulux.
I’m going back to Bunnings today to buy the oppositions paint to get the job right.

Like other reviews I have had the same issues with this product. It has ruined my ceilings like other reviewers and it is complete mess now. It's streaky, patchy and completely uneven. Dried too quickly and left lines all over the ceiling. I am left with an awful, obviously badly painted ceiling. I'm not new to painting so my skills are fairly good - but not with this product. Bunnings also said that Dulux Ceiling White is the same as Vivid White however it's completely different to our other ceilings that were painted in Vivid White so why the difference? All I can say it what a complete mess!
