Just awful, every month you have ti fix something
I really needed kind of these so I bought it. 4 times, because first 3 were broken out of the box. It worked almost 3 month, than needed to replace piezo . Replaced. After 2 weeks water stopped going away, no mist, no solutions . You can throw your money into the dumpster. Same result .

Worst customer service awful product
Absolutely AWFUL. Stay away. Terrible product, awful service.
This humidifier has caused me almost two years of headaches. While being amazing for the short time it functioned. It broke soon after purchasing it. Dyson exchanged it, then that one began leaking, destroying my floor, in exasperation I asked for a refund. Dyson happily agreed and told me to ship it back. urs of time wasted, being told multiple times by them the money had been transferred, that the error was with my bank, causing me hours of phone calls, they just stopped responding to me. I wrote and them I would have no choice but to file a lawsuit that I needed that refund, that I was disabled, ill, unemployed and struggling, nothing. I provided them with multiple deadlines. No response. I file the lawsuit and they've refused to repay the refund and the hundreds of dollars in court fees, time and expenses... so now I have to go to court to recoup the expenses. I am crippled with stress. I have their lawyers who they are paying close to $300 an hour (based on the firms rates) threatening me that if I lose they will make me cover their court costs... because a global company with dedicated customer service agents couldn't be bothered to issue me a refund. Attractive and functional
We purchased this humidifier to counteract the drying effect of our heater. The machine is easy to assemble and use. The cleaning regime is a little unrealistic as it requires you devote a significant amount of your time each week to maintaining the humidifier. Also a tad disappointed in the lack of a HEPA filter for the price of the machine. But all in all, it is the most attractive home appliance we own, and does perform its humidifying function in a sleek and quiet manner.

Great machine
I originally gave this a bad review.
I blamed the machine for not working not misting all the time like it was doing on display in the shop.
This will only mist and use water it the himidity is below 70.
I have tested it and most definitely mists when humidity is below 70 if its higher than 70 is not mist nor use water.
Retailers need to make customers aware of this.
I bought thinking it would mist all the time. Complained and complained the machine was faulty .
I bought a little humidifer tester and check with google on the humidity when its not misting.
These are smart machines and work.
Don't buy of you are wanting a gan that mists all the time.

Sent back twice and Dyson phone line is always busy
First time bought it last June and there was an error code and so it was sent back and repaired, used it briefly for a few weeks and the error code came back on and just sent back again. Have been trying to call them to check but the phone is always engaged or hold times are very long.
Update. Just got through at 1245pm after half hour on hold on 23/5. The case has been escalated to management apparently.

Works well, looks good, and has the usual Dyson high quality level
The unit is used in a cold country location about 700 metres above seal level. The ambient humidity levels are close to desert like. The AM10 quietly distributes with fan forcing a perfect amount of humidity around the room/house. The fan has the right amount of adjustment from whisper quiet low speed to a good high speed that will push the output beyond 4 metres in distance.
There is no warm air function, but it does not create a cold humid draft in our house.

First one: uv filter didn't work. Second one: stops misting after 2 min
An atrocious product. I was actually really excited to buy this product and saved up to replace my cheapy one but this is so bad compared to it. First one had an f2 error (uv cleaner not working) and Dyson wanted nothing to do with me, wouldn't replace it and made me go back to Myer because I'd only just opened it. After Myer had to painfully wait on hold with Dyson (they used the same consumer hotline I used . Approx 30 min wait), Myer ordered me another humidifier in which came within the week (go Myer!). I have now had the product for less than a week and now the humidifier stops misting (set at 70%) after 2 minutes of humidifying and just turns into a very overpriced fan.
I am really not impressed dyson.

I cannot live without my Dyson Humidifier
If you work in an air conditioned building and catch every cold that comes around, and are usually feeling like death warmed up, get one of these machines and stick it on your desk facing you, and suddenly you will be well again, and all the time. It is fantastic!

What is the average energy consumption of the hot cold humidifier unit?

Hi Mel,
Thanks for your question. The Dyson M10 Humidifier works as a humidifier and fan only, it does not produce any heat.
The average energy expenditure is hard to predict as usage will vary however on the Max Fan Setting consumption is 40 Watts and on the Maximum Humidifier setting consumption is 55 watts
If you would prefer a machine that produces heat, we do have the AM09 Hot + Cool fan and the Pure Hot + Cool Purifier, however neither of these machines are humidifiers, these machine have a maximum consumption of 2000 watts on heat mode, power consumptioon cool mode is substantially lower.

The amount of moisture released depends on the ambient humidity already in the room, and will only produce mist if the room's humidity level is below 70%. If the ambient humidity level is above this the machine will function as a fan instead of humidifier. Sometimes small amounts of mist will be harder to see placing the machine against a dark background will make the mist more visible.
