Enjoying the energy effiecient, spacious fridge!

published

I never wanted to purchase a fridge this expensive but this ticked all our required boxes. The only 'fault' is the lower draw slide mount wasn't installed correctly in the fridge. I've fixed that. The fridge has a great combination of draws and shelves. It is relatively quite and doesn't run as frequently as any of our other fridges that we've had. We've had it installed for 3 months now. The water dispenser is great too!
Two things I'd like improved....
1) Make them in Australia!
2) Have a L/H hinge option. Would suit our application better.

Works great!

I got this fridge last month while I was doing a Reno on my property and so far it has been great!
It has maintained a consistent temperature in all compartments, has the perfect amount of space, 3 different drawers for fruit and veg and a beautiful finish.
Would recommend.

Woeful support from Electrolux Australia

published

I reported an issue with the fridge to Electrolux Australia's customer support line on 11th March 2018. Whilst on hold, the operator contacted the local agent in Cairns and relayed the message that the contractor will call me to arrange a time to do a warranty repair. No need to bore the reader with the (4) other calls I made between Electrolux Australia and the repair contractor suffice to say that I am still waiting for a repair a month later.

Think twice about purchasing this product because of the lack of customer care you will receive from Electrolux Australia.

So much room!

published

This is the most roomy stand alone fridge we could find on the market that had a filtered water dispenser. It has strong glass shelving not cheap plastic ones. The lighting in the fridge is led and it's very impressive. There is no wasting of space with large reservoirs for the water dispenser, it must be contained in the door or at the back? The filter for the water is easy to access and change.
The only thing we have had a problem with is opening the door if we have shut it and need to reopen again in quick succession, the suction is really strong. It is getting better though as time goes on so I think it's just a new appliance issue that will improve in time.

The only let down with this fridge is the door handle - ours pulled off after only a short time and we've tried to fix it but to no avail. There doesn't seem to be a way to screw it on? How can this be fixed please as it looks like the freezer handle is going to be next! thanks

When you close the door the fridge will not allow the door to be reopened for around 45 seconds. When you are busy cooking and getting meals organised this feature is very annoying! Hiw do I disable this feature? Many thanks

I know exactly what you are talking about, this is the most annoying factor of the fridge! I am unaware of a way that you can turn it off like a function of some sort. However, I can tell you it gets better over time - 45 seconds turns into 5 seconds of waiting. Despite it being annoying I really believe it is what keeps all of our food from spoiling so easily. We have saved so much money from not having food spoil with this fridge.

Thanks for that. We look forward to only 5 seconds. I can't believe a manufacturer would make a fridge that won't let the door open until it is ready. We have had quite a few fridges over the years and know no one else whose fridge does this. Food spoiling has never been a problem in previous fridges. Its a great fridge but I'd be unlikely to recommend it to anyone else.

How often do I need to change the filter ?

There is a lighting panel on the inside right hand side that tells you the temperature etc. It will also have a little warning light that comes on to tell you it’s nearly time to change the filter (this gives you time to purchase one if you don’t have a spare available). And then eventually the red light comes on saying change filter and it will remain on. Filter needs to be changed every 3 months. Because it’s only my husband and I using it I sometimes let it go abit longer 4-5 months because it’s used less than the average household and just set a reminder on my iPhone. Just a tip when you do change it because I had a blonde moment when I first changed mine - when you put the new one in you have to press a and hold a button on the lit up panel to make it start up. Hope this makes sense and helps!
