Vacuum Cleaners Buying Guide
Our buying guide will explain which type of vacuum cleaner would suit you most, how much you can expect to pay for one, and which features are worth looking out for.
Terrible
This vacuum cleaner is the worst one I have ever owned. Quite expensive approx $300 but after about 20 mins of use, it overheats and turns itself off. You have to open the vents, and air for approx 1 hour or more, before you can start it again, then you get maybe 5-10 mins before it overheats again and you have to repeat the process. I constantly clean all 3 vents but this does not help.

Great Vac
Had to buy a larger vacuum when we moved into a bigger place with more carpet. This vacuum feels very powerful, I'm consistently surprised at the amount of dust it's able to pull out of our carpet even with regular cleaning. All the components (bin, filter, etc) are easy to access and clean. The power cable is quite long, and I've had no issues in the last 6 months with clogging or anything else.
There are 5 different power levels you can choose from, and all the buttons on the machine are large and easy to use. My only real issue is that it takes up a fair amount of space, I probably wouldn't recommend it if you don't have adequate storage space.
Purchased in July 2021 at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances for $230.00.

EXCELLENT product
Extremely happy with this vacuum cleaner, before I purchased my new vacuum, I had a small stick cleaner that had good suction but no power head, so I always felt that my floors and carpets where not as clean as they should be, and I put that theory to test with my new ELECTROLUX ULTRAFLEX ALLERGY Vacuum cleaner, it came with powerhead plus normal floor tool and brush etc, I turned it on and seriously within a few seconds of turbo cleaning my vacuum barrel was nearly half full of dirt and dust because the suction is so strong plus my old vacuum ...Read more
just wasn't doing its job. The suction on this new vacuum is strong it sometimes gets stuck on the carpet if you going against its grain but the upside is it picks up all the inground dirt from below the carpet, you can see it happening right before your eyes because as you drag the cleaning power head over the carpet you can see it lifting the carpet slightly, thats a good sign to me as its showing its getting right down to the bottom of the carpet. I got my cleaner on sale however at full price its still certainly worth the money, big thumbs up from me, plus Electrolux is a brand I always favor.Similar opinion? Great Suction Of Electrolux ZUF4301OR
Bought this little vacuum to replace my old Electrolux. The size is good for small storage space and has long cord,
This is a cyclonic bagless vacuum cleaner that is powerful.
It can really suck the amount of dust in my bedroom far better than my old Electrolux.
Disposing the dust is as easy as the push of the slot at the bottom of the bin.
It has a long hose. However, it always kinked and I guess due to the material used for the hose.
Overall, i recommend this little beauty

Best Vacuum ever
Excellent suction power and light, but noise bit higher side compare to conventional vacuum. This vacuum good in hard floor and bed. The long cord is the best for condominium use where come with limited plug point. The vacuum is quiet good at getting the hair off the floor or on the bed.

2 year warranty...stopped working after 2.5 years! don't buy Electrolux!
We have only two small carpeted bedrooms to vacuum.....cannot believe that the second Electrolux we have purchased has broken not long after the 2 year warranty expired!!! Absolutely appalling products that cost a lot but fail to deliver! Took them in to different repairers and same story....unfixable. Never again will we even consider any Electrolux products.

Electrolux Vacuum Cleaner
I needed a vacuum that would take every bit of dust out of the room and house - it had to have excellent filters plus a hepa filter - as I have an allergy to mold and dust that was making me quite ill.
My new Electrolux vacuum cleaner is remarkable for its efficiency and adaptability and the filters can all be removed and cleaned.
The suction is fantastic and I have found it easy to use around my house on all floors and furnuture and other surfaces where dust sits.
There is an attachment for every surface and the canisters empties into a plastic bag with ease.
I am excited about my electrolux vacuum cleaner - you will be also.

Solid and powerful, but a pain to use
On the one hand, this vacuum has great suction, solid build, easy to clean filters, and a long cord which is very handy. On the other hand, it is difficult to maneuvre and pull around corners. The standard hose it comes with is inflexible and prone to kinking. Although the machine itself is a great vacuum, its ergonomics make vacuuming more of a chore than it has to be.

Very bad
Gradually lost suction over time, from being very powerful in the first 2 weeks, after that it began to become weaker and weaker. The plastic parts were very weak and broke very easily. Now I Cant vacuum without the head sliding out.
I am very dissapointed with this product and would not recommend it.

As good as I expect
Very happy with this model and the price is competitive.
I bought it for the apartment, mainly carpet. It's easy to use and the suction is strong enough.
The cord is longer than 10 meters therefore no need to swap the power point often.
I would highly recommend it for people who live in apartment.

Handy vacuum cleaner
Great product, awesome quality. Never had any issues. And the price is quite cheap, especially compared to the overpriced dyson. It works great for carpets and tiles, sucks crumbs very well. I would recommend this to my friends. The only thing is that it is a bit too heavy and loud in noise.

Very good suction .Low noise
Purchaed and try it out today 21-5-17 loves the low noise and great suction
light weight and comfort handle .The long 12 metres cord helps for multi rooms cleaning without have to re plug to other power points.
Lets hoping i dont get the problem with the head on this one.

Very good
I bought my first model from Harvey Norman and I had no problems with its performance or suction. After 6 months it began developing a problem where pressing the power button would not work, initially it would occur 1 out of 5 times but after a few months it would be 7 out of 10 so I decided to ring Eletrolux. Their warranty replacement is the best and they swapped my vacuum cleaner with a brand new one no questions asked. The new model has been working fine so far (I only had it for 2 months) so let's see how we go.

Great vaccum
Great vacuum. It has very good suction and it is not bulky or heavy at all. It can be used on both hard floors and carpet really well. Our house is mainly tiles and it would suction onto them so well so that all mess was cleaned up so easily.

Very average and disappointing
The suction is OK.
It's a light and manoeuvrable unit, the cord is adequately long.
It's not excessively loud, as far as a vacuum goes.
We are constantly cleaning filters after every use. We live in a 280 sqm house that is 2 years old, which isn't very dusty. The majority of the floors are tiled with some carpet.
It has just stopped few times, sent it back to where we bought it (Harvey Normans) and was told that we weren't cleaning or replacing the filters enough. This is our first bagless vacuum, we had a ancient Miele (Purchased 1990's) b...Read more

So Good I Purchased A Second Ultraflex
I have had the Electrolux Ultraflex ZUF4301OR for 15 months now and am extremely happy with it. The weight of it is very light and so easy to maneuver around the house. It is a bonus that it is bagless as my last vacuum cleaner was a Miele and the cost of the bags was proving to be too expensive. Considering you pay for the vacuum cleaner when you purchase it and then you have the added expensive of regularly buying bags. I will never go back to a bag cleaner again. It is easy to empty and it holds a lot so you do not have to empty it all the t...Read more
ime. The filters are easy to clean and are very durable as I am still using the original filters and they are still in good condition. The power cord is a long length so I can do the whole house using the one central power point. The suction is very powerful and it is surprising how much dirt it does suck up. It is just as good on carpet as it is on lino. I am so impressed with the Ultraflex that I bought a 2nd one last week so I can put it away for down the track when I need another vacuum cleaner and I got it at a good price. I don't have any negatives about it and I would highly recommend it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Just magic
I use my Dyson on a 70 sqm shag pile carpet, it is the only vacuum that has been able to get it properly clean.
Its very easy to use an maneuver around the furniture and the attachments are great for the couch, windowsills, cat tree, etc. It is very light and compact, fits easily into a small storage space.
