Great Generator
Engel products are excellent, I have 2 fridges and SHX1000 generator. We take the generator to Bathurst each year and it runs fridges, lights, TV's, charging batteries etc all week with out missing a beat. I doesn't like unlevel ground and I would agree with the other review, it is a bit noisy. Just need to have it away from the camp a bit with a long extension cord. Also use it went the power goes off at home to run the fridge and a light.

excellent reliable generator
Have used this generator for protracted camping and for power tools on the job. It never misses a beat.
I change the oil regularly and it has not given any hint of trouble. The silencer could be more effective as it is not as quiet as Honda equivalents but is not too bad at 56 db.
compact reliable
Could be quieter

Very Poor Customer Service from both Engel and Honda
Engel don't take responsibility for wanting to fix and palmed us off to Honda as apparently they have an agreement, however after speaking to national service manager of Honda who advised he would pass details onto State Manager to call me, 3 days later I am chasing them up again with still no contact from Honda. Very disappointing that two big name brands in which we have purchased several items is so pathetic in their customer service.
No-one can be bothered to contact you if you have a problem with their product
