Terrible Print Quality
WorkForce WF-3640This printer needs a head clean virtually every time and still smudges. It leaves stripes through every print job. Doesn't matter that it scans and works as a fax - it's main job is to print. I don't have money to waste so won't be buying an Epson product again.

WorkForce WF-3640this printer is so stupid, always had trouble printing with it. It is a printer. What is the piont of doing a print job, when it can't even do its main function properly? Rather get another one from another better company. Do not buy it, if you want something efficient and good quality. By far, the worst quality printer, EVER. Always had to print at college, which waste my money, but college printing is better than this.

WorkForce WF-3640Broke down after 13 months with unfixable error code. Luckily had purchased the "Extracover REPLACEMENT" policy at cost of $24 (usually think this is a scam, but purchased due to the replacement aspect & products often seem to break down once the one year warranty is over).
Officeworks now providing a gift voucher for the amount paid for computer ($178).
When working it was good.
It was for personal use and was not used that much.

Great printer for home with teenagers at home
WorkForce WF-3640Prints great, love the larger Black toner cartridge
Epson ink is and always was spendy
Copies double sided ok
Scans great
Sometimes WiFi connectivity from laptops seems a bit faulty, but you can register an email address for your printer and print remotely.
Prints every time without a problem from our phones using Epson app
Printer is a heap of junk. Don't buy it
WorkForce WF-3640I have always owned Epson printers and found them to be of reasonable quality. That was until I purchased this one. I have to perform a print head clean and print head alignment practically every time I print a document. There a smudges, streaks and missing lines through all my documents, even after cleaning and aligning the heads. I need a reliable printer for small business use and this one costs me more in lost time and wasted paper, that I ever thought possible. Sorry Epson, you've lost a customer.

WorkForce WF-3640the print quality is good. I like the compact design. Ink cartridges are relatively inexpensive. Scanning is complicated and non- intuitive at best. If your primary use of your printer is scanning I would NOT recommend this product. If I had the option and had not kept it too long, I would return it today. Right now. Immediately.

WorkForce WF-3640This printer started off Ok, but now it can't print colour without stripes. It also uses heaps of ink and a full set of cartridges costs almost as much as a new printer. The black and white prints OK and the interface is easy to use but the quality has died too quickly.

WorkForce WF-3640We've been using this more than 8months, but it's terribly working!
The filters are blocked and cleaned few times, still it's printing with stripe lines.
Also recently I've changed the expensive inks again, but still not clearly printing out.
Still Office works sell this products, but I don't doubt why this product is discontinued.
Anyway I'm very disappointed with it, and should spending money again to buy another one because of bad decision on this.

What a Great Printer
WorkForce WF-3640I had two wifi printers fail in quick succession so was out to get a decent replacement, in particular one that could print decent quality photos as well as provide me with High quality scans and be wifi enabled so I could share it within the household. I purchased this printer from Officeworks.
I found that this printer was a little difficult to setup with my Router which is a high end gaming offering. After pulling my hair out for a couple of days, I finally found that it had connected by itself although I have three different versions of

I cannot delete these other two settings or the Network ceases to work, interesting. Anyway the print quality is exceptional and the pictures that I have printed are acceptable quality. The Pictures are not as good as the photo labs but they are pretty close. I like the two separate cartridges and the ability to print on the front and back of the paper. Its also quite pleasing that you can scan the front and back with nil interaction during the scan process. Overall I am very happy with the printer and the other members of my family find it very easy to use even though it is a bit more complicated than what we have had in the past. I would highly recommend this offering.Wasn't good for me don't recommend at all.
WorkForce WF-3640I am not happy with this printed as it advertised. I bought this from office works because I saw in advertisement and I really needed something for home use. One of the staff recommended this as well but didn't went good.
First month had a problem for printing always paper jammed and then second month it's so slow for one paper I had to wait 20 mins which was not as advertised. I went to office works and they checked it and exchanged for better one .
I waste my so much of time just printing some urgent papers in this printer I don't recommend this to any other .
Awful - wouldn't buy it again
WorkForce WF-3640We got 2 years and two months out of this product, which apparently is better than most. We have a small home office and it had a very light work load. Print quality was ok, and it didn't jam much. Ink refills were RIDICULOUSLY expensive. I know inkjet ink is one of the most costly fluids on earth but this ink was even crazier than most. Every process with this machine was cumbersome and laborious compared to the HP it had replaced. I dreaded having to do any scanning. That was my biggest bugbear. It eventually developed a motherboard fault tha

Terrible Product made by Terrible Company
WorkForce WF-3640It's no surprise that this printer was discontinued. It is, BY FAR, the worst printer I have ever purchased or used. It constantly resets all my settings without input from me. When I call tech support they cannot give me straight answers and it usually takes 30 to 60 minutes on the chat/line in order to get my printer working again. I will never buy another Epson product and I hope you will do the same.

WorkForce WF-3640Epson 3640. I purchased this at the beginning of 2015 but did not connect it until Nov as my Brother was still working. Exactly one year after I started to use it it is dead. When I went to turn it on this morning it did not light up or start. It was expensive as printers go. I was told it would give a good colour image but it gave a poor colour, blurry image print unless on high quality. The ink cartridges did not last particularly long to justify the higher cost of the printer. I had just installed $100 of new cartridges a couple of weeks before the machine died in the night.

WorkForce WF-3640The interface (wireless to a Mac) is unreliable and sometimes I need to reboot the system 3-4 times to get it to work.
The scanner software regularly hangs.
The print engine seems oK, but it certainly is frustrating and unreliable.
Maybe it is the Mac requirements that are the problem, cant understand why as it is only printing and scanning.

WorkForce WF-3640I've had a Brother MFC-440CN for about 10 years. I really liked this printer but after years of printing, the head started to go and couldn't be cleaned, windows 8/10 support wasn't there and never really was good on glossy paper. I really liked this compact form and was looking for something similar (however there really wasn't). One thing I didn't like was it only held about 100 pages. So I decided to bite the bullet and update and if I had to go a larger unit, I'd get something that had the features to justify a bulky unit - enter the Epson
... Read moreWF-3640. I had read the negative reviews but I'm a fairly tech savvy person and most of the complaints were - I can't set it up, can't get wifi to work, paper jams, etc. Mostly having a winge as people do. I tend to be a bit more open minded. On paper it ticked all the boxes. Dual paper trays (hold a ream of paper or 500 pages between them). Double sided scan/print, auto document feed, lots of room to remove a jam, back feed slot (for larger paper), nice touchscreen, WiFi/LAN, easy copy, pigment ink and replacement cartridges/yield quite impressive. In practice - it barely scrapes by and could be barely classed as a printer (at the bare minimum it should print nicely). This is a large and bulky unit. It really needs a dedicated spot with a little room around it (or a separate stand). To start out with, unpacking the units it's excellently packed (all taped and padded to stop transport damage). Setup was a breeze (I setup WiFi connection before even inserting the disk). Instruction manual is easy to follow and setting up the software fairly straight forward. The unit will check for the latest software and download automatically. From here there was a firmware update which again, no problems installing. The networking side is relatively easy. I tried both the LAN and WiFi and both connected easy. I didn't really notice any speed difference between the WiFi or LAN. However because my switch is right beside it, I connected via LAN. It even installs a network shortcut to the USB/SD cards to access directly from windows file explorer. Once setup, I started to test the print and it seemed OK on normal ever day paper. The amount of options to print in the software are impressive. Again, one of the things I liked was the rear top feed slot so you can throw extra larger paper in without it having to go through the rollers. Speed was quite fast (boasts around 22 ppm - probably not but it is fast). The copying function is easy as was the scanning. Compared to my 10 year old printer, the amount of noise that goes on and the shaking of the unit while printing is awful.Don't waste your money
WorkForce WF-3640I made my purchase in July 2014 at Office works, it was at the time on the expensive side and supposed to be made for small business. It was a great printer for a bit, I was very happy to have all the new features and all the possibilities... But it was short lived, I mistakenly accepted a new firmware update thinking it would help the printer with the windows 10 upgrade since it was on the slow side since the upgrade... NO it made it useless, I lost the scanner, the printer is now in imperial units, no way to reset it to metric, and it took m
... Read moree a weekend to have it back in running with one leg. I had a few printers over the years, I never really had a lot of technical issues, more to do with the quality of the print despite low usage out of them, but now with a business, I need something that will work. Obviously the last firmware was made to kill the printer as I had no issue with it at first. To give you an idea how bad it is, I have to scan documents on an usb flash drive and then ask the computer to check for the usb connected to the printer to retrieve the document... find the error! Update By some unforeseen miracle the last update sorted the issue of the scanner... Will it last??? I have given an extra star just for that reason but I still do not recommend to buy this unit. Too bad I have other urgent purchase for the business otherwise I would buy something else.Worst printer I've ever had!
WorkForce WF-3640I was so excited when I picked up this printed from OfficeWorks a couple of months ago, well, what a dud! I have had Epson and Canon printers before and have been happy with them. I bought this printer for my home business and bought it in particular for the borderless printing - which it doesn't appear to do except apparently on A4. I'm currently trying to scan on this printer and it has taken 10 mins so far and has not scanned a page. This function previously worked. This printer prints poorly, the scanner does not work and is generally ineff

A quick update - Jul 2016. I eventually got so annoyed with this printer that I took it back into Officeworks for a full refund. I purchased the new HP D9L19A OfficeJet Pro 8720 All-in-One from the Good Guys and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I can't believe I put up with my epson printer for so long.Very, very, very disappointing
WorkForce WF-3640This is the first epson printer I have ever purchased and it is difficult to describe the extent of my disappointment. Some of my fiends have been banging on about how great their epson printer is or was and so i finally caved in. Big mistake. Print quality on plain paper is awful reminded me of the 1980's - grainy and banded (yes I have run all of the fine tune and calibration).
Even photo printing is forgettably mediocre. Everything looks flat - even trying multiple paper types.I went so far as to buy some epson paper thinking that this

I actually really wanted to use the wireless printing capability but in the end it was so slow had to run a cable. What is good thing about the WF-3640? The scanner is competent and the sheet feeder works well for scanning multiples. Finally. ink for this machine seems expensive (haven't found a non-branded ink) and goes quickly. Given that the ink costs more than the printer, next time around I'm going to have to throw the printer out and go and buy something else. What a terrible waste. I will never, ever buy anything from this company again. No Microsoft OneDrive Scan To Cloud Support
WorkForce WF-3640Yes I can use the Epson iPrint on my iPad and Android devices to scan to cloud with Microsoft OneDrive but cannot use Epson Connect to do this same on my Desktop PC. There is no option for MS OneDrive. No reasonable explanation from Epson except to avoid any responsibility as their specs on the website I have seen refer to their European model. The Australian model misses out. This has been raised previously on their community blog in March 2014 by US customers but nothing has been done.

You will regret this purchase
WorkForce WF-3640Total Garbage. The unit had to be replaced twice by Epson in the first 12 months for hardware issues. Now it's 2 months out of warranty and it is down again. Tech support could not help. Corporate was rude and told me to bring to a service center which I did and they wanted $150 to repair. Here are the problems - The scanner always jams. The cover comes off the hinge. the color printer broke twice. The wireless function broke and caused the first return. In other words anything that can go wrong with this thing will. Buy another product. You will save yourself a lot of grief and this company will not stand by their product.
I'm taking it to the tip
WorkForce WF-3640I have wasted countless hours trying to set up and use this ridiculous joke of a machine. All I want to do is be able to print and scan documents when I need to. There is no way to wirelessly connect a laptop to this piece of rubbish. If you don't have a hard-drive for the disk, there is nowhere at all to download the software. The download website stated on the product information is an empty domain, and all customer support possibilities are hard to find and entirely fruitless. Epson is obviously a company that does not care less about custom

If I want to print a document, I have to email it to myself, then open the document on my android phone, use the printing app on the phone, then come and rescue every second paper that gets stuck in a paper jam. There does not seem to be the option to scan multiple page documents as .pdfs! Scanning to the computer, or an email, or a memory stick is promised as options, but so far I have thrown away too many hours of my life trying to work out how to perform these functions, and I give up. This is a complete waste of money and only deserves the tip. Don't buy an Epson!Sick of Wasting Time Getting This Epson to Print
WorkForce WF-3640I purchased this printer based on reviews and the fact that it could do duplex scans and prints. But, every second day I get print errors or paper jams. Using good quality paper yet it always jams when printing from Cassette 2. Total time waster. 2+ hours today to print 3 sheets!!! Do Epson engineers ever use what they design??
