Has anyone tried this WK-3640 printer with DYE based ink in refillable aftermarket cartridges? I know it comes with Pigment based ink from epson but I'm hoping the dye based ink will NOT dry out/clog the printhead as I read the pigment base does, from lack of use.

You might also want to make sure you have the correct drivers and that you are choosing the correct printer - here is another youtube vid explaining printing boarderless

Try to go into the Windows printer settings. "Property" of your printers, Preference, then into extended settings there should be a box you tick to remove the white border. I haven't checked the link from the previous answer but usually YouTube is a very good place to start too.

I would have thought it would come under the warranty. I haven't had any problems so far. Perhaps take it back to where you purchased it - under consumer law it would be the store's responsibility.
Take it back to your place of purchase with your receipt as it is still under warranty.
