I am a Maintenance Manager at a school in Perth and was looking at this oven as it has thermocouplers to prevent gas leaking if kids mess with dial and try turning on, but I have reservations especially after the number of reports of front glass of oven exploding. Has the manufacturer fixed this issue?

Hi Greg.
I had this happen at one of our rental properties and with respect I don't know how & why it happened, only told by the tenant that the glass shattered whilst cooking a meal.
I have not heard anything further about this issue, however the manufacturer was kind enough to replace the entire unit after the incident.

Hi Greg,
mine is an electric oven, so not sure about the gas model. How ever as to the glass shattering, that's a new one on me, I would suggest contacting the company and enquire with them as to this.
regards,
Vic

Hi Greg,
oven glass shattering is very rare, there can be a number of reasons why glass would shatter but please keep in mind there was never a glass shattering problem, if your glass was to ever shatter we would certainly assist as above anyway.
Hope you do purchase our model as its a great oven :)

I recently moved to a house that has this gas cooker, the stove top is working great but I can't seem to get the oven working properly. It takes forever to heat up and even on the maximum heat setting, there isn't enough heat and worst of all it turns itself off in the middle of cooking. I followed the instructions in the manual but nothing seems to be working! What do I do ?

Hi Vaanesa,
So sorry, but mine is an electric one, can I suggest that you go to an electrical store that sells these, say perhaps the Good Guys and get them to show you.
kind regards,
Vic

Hi Vaanesa,
Sorry to hear, please try the above or call us on 1800 444 357 and we can discuss :)
Hi Vaanesa,
I'm assuming that its gas cook top with an electric oven.
It sound that it may be a thermostat issue. Considering that it comes on, its not the element. You will probably have to appoint a technician to assess & repair.
Hope this helps.

How do I know when the oven has reached desired temp?
2 answers
Good question, Ours is natural gas oven, we give it 10 minutes to get to the dialed temperatures and it always seems to cook as per recipes. Still cant believe how well it cooks for the price!
Ruben R.Euromaid
Sorry for the delay in our reply!
On a gas oven the only way to know if an oven has reached temp is to observe the burner flame. It will reduce and sit close to the burner when the thermostat believes the temperature has been reached.

Hello, I have moved into a house that has a freestanding Euromaid oven/stovetop (model number unknown). It is gas. The oven dial does not have a temperature gauge it only lists 1-5. I'm struggling to gauge what temperature I am cooking food and therefore have burnt the most simple of dishes - a roast. Could you please advise what number between 1-5 is approx 180? Many thanks,

Hey Susan,
Unfortunately, without the model # it is hard for us to accurately assist you.
If you open the door of the oven, there should be a rating label with the model # on it. Can you see it on there?
Let us know, thank you :)
Thanks for your reply. Model is: Euromaid. GGFW50NG. Class 1 - Type TN121S90. Cert No: AGA7386G. APP No: CS7989N.
Hope this helps??
Cheers,
Susan
Unhappy customerasked
My mother has had this model installed (new) only recently and we've tried everything to get her oven working, but as everyone else says: it takes forever to heat up, it blows hot air during baking and after being turned off. Cannot really bake anything: it bakes and browns on top, but whatever she bakes, remains uncooked inside and at the bottom. Tried different baking dishes, different positions of the rack, different oven options, the food gets ruined having been in the oven too long and still being under cooked. Any advice?

We have had no success with Euromaid distribution centre re problem. They say that is how it is supposed to be. Totally useless for baking. We have given up trying. Now we have a useless piece of an appliance doing nothing. Great if you want to heat the room up.

Good morning,
If you can please contact our Customer Care Team on 1800 444 357, they will be able to assist you by talking you through the various settings and rack positions to get the best operating performance.
Looking forward to talking with you.
Thank you.
I suspect that calling the Customer Care team will provide you with some answers for using this poorly designed stove. I takes a lot longer than our old stove for the elements to heat up and a lot longer for the oven as well. My wife spent some time getting to grips with how to cook in the oven. If I were Euromaid I would scrap this model completely as it is obviously causing a lot of people a lot of concern. After my experience with this stove I would never buy a Euromaid again if this is their idea of a quality stove.

Just bought this model GG54SSW, used the oven twice both times baking chicken..pre heated oven but seems to take extra long time to cook through and not browning..the cooling fan seems to be going full blast..is this normal. How do you use the oven without the fan ??
1 answer
Ruben R.Euromaid
hi Chrissy, the cooling fan will always remain on during cooking, it is hard to say if the oven temperature is out without know what temperature you are pre heating on and how long you are pre heating for, are you please able to advise on these?
Thank you
