A complete, and expensive dud.

published

Bought this house, and the Euromaid PS90 was here. Appears to be new. Looks good. That’s about the only good thing I can say about it. The oven does not heat correctly, have to turn it to full on to get any sort heat from it but it takes forever to cook anything. The gas rings on top have no variance in flame and temperature, they are either on or off. Trying to simmer something slowly is impossible. I think this product is a complete dud.

Oven takes forever to reach temperature.

published

Takes nearly an hour to reach 180 degrees c. And nearly impossible to reach full temperature. Very disappointing product. Not exactly what you would expect from an oven in this category. Looks good but does not perform. Very close to saying it’s not fit to do the job it’s intended for. We certainly would not recommend Euromaid or purchase there products in the future.

OK for the price

I purchased one of these a year ago, no problems, except steam getting into door glass cavity and needing to dismantle door to clean inside surfaces.
oven takes ages to heat up, but I think all big ovens suffer this.
the rear vent for the oven is a terrible design fault, it made a nasty steam, grease stain on the splash back before I connected a pipe to diffuse the muck venting from the oven
door can be a bit fiddly to remove, the little lugs that lock it to the hinges are fragile.
easy to clean
wont go low enough to simmer lightly

Seems to be a standard problem with the Euromaid, we have same issue and now off permanently just out of warranty by a month or so... So annoying!

Middle burner not igniting when all others are fine. Any ideas?

Is ignition working? They have sensors that when a flame is not present stops the gas flow. Check gas flow. If you suspect sensor faulty try to remove and poor boiling water over it for 2 minutes replace and try again. If still not working replace sensor

Hey Mason,

Please get in touch with us on 1800 444 357 to discuss further.

It is possible it is one of three things:

1. Faulty ignition electrode
2. Dirty burner
3. Blocked injector

Thanks.
