Playing up and shouldn't have to pay exorbitant technician fees - used for less than a year!
I bought this machine in circa 2012 - BUT - it was only used for 10months. I then moved in with family and we used their Machine - so it has been in secure, safe storage ever since. I had movers handle it with great care to move it to my new home. Plugged in and now the dial is not properly working! I have a video I can share. But I've tried turning off the main power switch - moved dial to point up then turned back on and held down start/pause for 5-10sec - still no good. When I move the dial - it doesn't change from saying "16".. It doesn't ...Read more
display the RPMs nor the temp.. It will suddenly say "2hrs: 20mins" and whatever RPMs and temp but it doesn't correspond to the dial.. ie: it could be on "daily xpress" or "drain and spin". It worked for a second in that it did a rinse wash only for 14 mins.. But at the end of the display said "end" and then wouldn't go back after any amount of time. And no, it wasn't locked. So now I've no washer when I've used it and looked after it so well after less than a year of use! I'm ropable! The company I bought it from soon after they went into receivership (Clive Anthony or Clive Peters.. Don't recall.. Was in Aspley, Qld).Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Great machine initially but only last 3 years
We were very happy with machine intially always did a great job, but after only a little over three year of use suddenly the LCD screen stopped working and machine only will pump water in and drain out at the same time and nothing else and are yet to get a reply back from euromaid reguarding our inquiery. Very disappointed in the products poor life span, we expect much more than only three years of use.

Build to last for one year
Works well, until it breaks down WITHIN THE WARRANTY PERIOD. Took 1 month trying to repair the washing machine, still no solution, Eventually asked for a refund, and Euromaid rejected the request. The washing machine has a major problem with the service and cannot be fixed within reasonable length of time. Beware consumer!

Never had a better washing machine
Best washing machine I ever purchased. Always got my 4 boys clothes clean. Never gave me a seconds trouble UNTIL a power surge resulted in the machine actually catching fire. Replaced with exact same machine PLUS a surge protector on the power point. Cant fault new machine any more than previous machine. Fantastic washing machine and very well priced

Lasted the 2 year Warranty period and then failed
We were mostly happy with the machine in the first 2 years but for a couple of washes where it did not seem that much water actually touched the clothes. Mostly use the Mix40 cycle with cold water. (actually takes 59 minutes to run the cycle, go figure!) 6 months ago the machine locked the door at the beginning of the cycle and refused to fill with water. Tried everything suggested to reset the the cycle with nil result. Luckily we had the use of another machine for the past 6 months and disconnected the WM7 pushing it to the back of the laundr...Read more
y. Our time with the loan machine has come to an end. After all this time when turning on the machine (yes, with water properly connected and turned on) it is still goes back to the same position. No Change. Whatever happened to the washing machines I remember lasting through my childhood and gifted to me when I first left home lasting until I decided to upgrade to something more environmentally efficient. Poor Product.. go for the brands you remember your mum using.3 comments

Unhappy
Had the WM7 for 2.5 years, the machine just stopped mid cycle and won't drain. Now when I turn it on just makes a loud grinding type noise. I called 1800 444 357 for assistance and was pretty much told out of warranty and that they can not provide any help. Won't be ever buying the same brand again.

A+++
Purchased 3 years ago. What can I say, this machine is brilliant. Minor issue when we installed it. The main switch was stuffed, but a simple switch change over, problem solved. This machine is in a family of 4, 2 Adults and 2 late teenagers. It has kept up extremely well, considering that we are doing at least 1-2 loads per day. It has not missed a beat.
I did buy on price, and this is our first front loader, upgrading after we retired our 15 years old Whirlpool, which has a serious drinking problem. It would go through 160lts of water per...Read more
cycle. This guy uses about 60 lts per cycle. I know that other brands use less, but I would not pay the $1500+ for these European machines. All in all an awesome introduction to front loaders, and a great machine to boot!1 comment

Awesome value
I bought mine second hand about a year ago because it was really cheap, I use it approx 3 to 5 times a week. Didn't expect much but it has surprised me. Clothes come out cleaner, drier and softer than any machine I've used. Slightly noisy, but barely moves at all even when spinning a full load, probably because it's so heavy. And I do load it right up. Doesn't rattle either, unlike every other machine I've owned. No issues at all, would highly recommend one.

It is possible that the machine may be shaking due to the transit bolts not being removed. The transit bolts are used when transporting the appliance to avoid damaging the drum. Please refer to the user manual and check the rear the appliance to confirm they have been removed. Can you confirm what the noise sounds like? Thank you. Euromaid.Hi
thanks for your answer. I have checked the manual and checked the transit bolts they were removed. I balanced the machine by undoing the "feet" where the machine is standing on and it help.

Loud Noise while washing
My washing machine is just 1 Year and 4 months old. I CAN HEAR VERY LOUD NOISE WHILE WASHING THE CLOTHS.
This is one of the worst machine I have ever had, Recommendation NEVER EVER EVER BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP.
MODE: DAILY EXPRESS (40 min wash), exactly at 13 min after finishing the wash and when starts to drain a very loud noise appears.

Not great. Machine broke down second time in 2.5 years
Not a great machine. Even when it was working it was hit and miss. Despite never filling the machine full, it would sometimes not soon the clothes properly and would have to run the drain and spin after each wash. Machine broke down but thankfully it was under warranty. Now after 2.5 years of owning it has broke down again - doesn't spin or drain. And 39 minute cycles sticks at 37 minutes and after that doesn't do anything. All other cycles don't work at all. Big disappoint to be paying $$$$$ to get it fixed after owning for just 2.5 years. I've owned other brands I picked up second hand that have lasted a lot longer than this one has!

Better not to buy
I bought this washing machine 2 yrs & 3 mths ago. It does not last long I have to say, it was working pretty good before, but now it is broken! The control panel is not functioning properly, after I select a programme, the machine does not fill with water, then it jumps to spin! To repair it, I got a quote for around $300. Now I'm really hesitant whether I should get it repaired or I should just buy a different new washing machine.

Great washing machine
I bought my Euromaid WM8 a few weeks ago and no problems at all. It is large capacity uses less water than my 4kg top loader did and I don't really notice the electricity usage as I have solar panels and am in credit during he summer months anyhow.
There are a lot of settings. A cotton wash takes nearly 2 hours which is fairly long time. The daily express takes 28 minutes. It doesn't have a warning bell to say the wash has finished, but its fairly noisy so you know when it is in spin cycle anyhow.
It comes with 2 year warranty so I don't think any issues.

Avoid buying this washing machine
I bought this machine from Harvey Norman and 2 months into using it, started leaking water and soap. First it only happened when I washed the sheets or towels, and then gradually every time I used the machine. I had water and soap all over the machine and floor, all the time. I tried lessening washing machine loads, soap, and changed the soap I used from liquid to powder. Nothing worked. I called Euromaid's technician to service the machine, who said to use only half a cup of powder soap and it should stop. It didn't. It's been six months now. I have called Harvey Norman and complained, thankfully they have offered me to come and choose a new washing machine. Avoid this one at all costs.

First time fail
Attempted to use this washing machine today for the first time and it is already not working properly.
Water won't drain and it is making a loud buzzing noise. As the water is not draining the cycle won't finish. So my clothes are taking a long bath until I can get it fixed. Even the reset guide in the manual hasn't helped.
I've noticed a few very similar complaints with this machine.

Disappointed in the first run itself
Bought this washing machine just today and did the first run without load as suggested in the user manual. Found a water pool around the machine after the first run completed. I think the water is leaking from the bottom as I couldnt see any water leaking out of the hoses. The end dry cycle was too noisy.
inexpensive
water leak, noisy

Go fine
Bought it 9 months ago and using in a restaurant. Does 2 packed loads every day. Each load is the longest setting eg 90 degrees, extra rinse etc. Only times it stopped was twice when some plastic got in bottom filter - easy fix. A staff member has bought one for home and no problems after 4 months.
Does the job.
Hard to stop water leaking when cleaning bottom filter.

Machine broke down last month. The designated service provider came out next day. The problem is Euromaid took a month to supply them with the parts. Totally unacceptable!!!!
Motherboard has now gone. After one month waiting told part will be another month to arrive. Brilliant!

Value for money
I had this machine for 3 years until our removalists dropped it from a height! Till then never any problems. Used very frequently for our family of 6. Lots of cycles to choose from. 60 degrees can be a bit hard on clothes after a while though. Hand wash cycles was great for delicates. We were very happy with it. No half load option though for small loads.
Price
Some of the cycles take forever but think that's front loaders in general

My machine is flashing the softener symbol and won’t do anything what does that mean?

All good googled more sites and found that the softener symbol flashes when there is a problem with the control knob.took control panel off and found the wires had come off circuit board.attached them back on closed up unit and machine is working perfectly now.
