Always was a huge fan of this BBQ when I saw it at a Demo at Harvey Norman. Finally purchased it 29th May 2017 not even two months old and the heating element cracked. We have been using our Heston Hub for just over 5 months now and I simply can't fault this product. We have cooked on it every weekend since we purchased it and it is still performing the same as day one. In those 5 months we have cooked everything imaginable from beef, chicken, Lamb and pork Roasts to all types of seafood as well as Corn cobs and Jacket potatoes.

Original purchased BBQ worked perfectly once and then the heat element failed second time around. Replacement eventually sent out and worked perfectly. Second use the BBQ tripped my electrics. Thinking nothing of it I tried a 3rd time and it instantly tripped my electrics again. I asked an electrician if my electrics could cope with the load and he confirmed that it was fine and that my kettle had more power. I contacted John Lewis to report the problem and they were advised by the supplier that I MUST GET MY ELECTRICS TESTED AND PAY FOR IT as ...

I cant fault my Hub. Quick and easy cleaning too.. grilling chicken is my favourite but not sure if there is a way to smoke fish? Great barbie for the weekend with mates or family. I like the way its built from the box, simple to throw together but its heavy too - needs 2 people to hold up during the leg assembly..great BBQ

I've used this BBQ for the last 6 months. Great BBQ for entertaining. Takes about 20 minutes for the charcoal to heat enough to use it. I had issues with the heating element shorting the electricity after the third use but the company fixed it free of charge. I've had no issues since. The spit function is great and really the highlight of the BBQ. I've done rolled pork, chicken, duck and a suckling pig that turned out amazing. The 40kg rating on the spit is a bit misleading as the width of the cooking area is 80cm and can only fit about 15kg an...

I bought one of these bbq's and then used it for the first time over the weekend. The spring clips on the rod didnt hold and the meat keep slipping outwards for the following 4 hours. I bought 10kg's of meat and the motor didnt appear to cope. It kept stoppung and the two support bard kept bowing outwards. Extremely disappointed

Only used once and was impressed with the quality
The spit was amazing 2 full chickens at a time all guests were impressed
Need to get head round the lighting I feel that the long start up was possibly my issue
Looking at the furnace now to sit alongside to replace my 6 burner Swiss grill

Firstly, this BBQ looks great - much to the envy of my mates. Nothing beats the cooking result of a charcoal barbeque and the HUB is just great in terms of ease of use and cleaning. I have cooked for 20+ people with ease and think that the ritual of igniting the charcoal and arranging the hot coals serves well to enhance the social aspect of outdoor cooking.

We are about to change ours over as it is tripping circuit breakers on element start up after only 3 or 4 uses..
Not happy about this however we are willing to try another one as we are generally happy with the Everdure spit and Barbeque, good for entertaining in calm weather.

The SMALL central, circular electric coil is much too small and should run the full length of the cooking area. Consequently, it takes much too long to fire up enough charcoal to spit roast anything other than a small chicken. Just too much of a hassle if all you want to do is cook up a small family meal during the week. Also if it's windy then forget about using your Hub - there is no hood!!??? Whilst it's easy enough to clean up the charcoal tray, it is NOT easy to clean the area underneath the charcoal tray, which invariably ends up covered ...

This BBQ is an awesome spit but that is where it ends for me. Just to chuck a couple of steaks or snags on the BBQ for your mid week dinner is such a hassle. The heat up time is at least double what it says. I've had an everdure in the past and the old ones were much better. The element on this BBQ is electric and located in the centre so you are constantly moving coals around to heat the entire thing. The old everdures were gas and had an element the entire length so heating the coals was even, quick and easy. Unless you're after a top of the line spit, I would wait for version 2.0.
