Hi, I have an Expobar Model 016010102, Office Control/Pulser, for approx 3yrs, I do like this machine, has not failed me till now. The problem is that when I turn it on in the morning it doesn't seem to engage! it either just makes a brr brr brr noise and then the red light below the switch keeps flashing and clicking on and off. I have had it looked at twice now by two different Expobar registered people and they say there is nothing wrong! they can't find the fault! Has anyone else experienced the same problem and how was it resolved? Thanks you, Lesley F.

Is it an intermittent problem? If so, can I suggest you wait until the fault occurs and then video it with your phone camera, bring it back to the repair shop and show them exactly what the issue is.....
thank you plodder, did that and have had the 'switch' changed and machines seems to be working fine now, cheers Lesley F

Looks great but I suppose most people want to get up in the morning and just press a button. I am over my machines breaking down after 1-2 years - the last one cost 1800 and I think one of these sounds good - but how long does t take to make a expresso from scratch - grinding etc - would like to know as this will help make my decision.

Hi Peter, do what we do. Get up and press the power on to the Expobar. Allow 10 minutes to warm up, I won't suggest what you might do in these 10 minutes.... Then turn on the power to the quality grinder you have, tip in some quality beans, turn on, 30 seconds later, turn off. Turn the grinder beans out into a container, spoon some into the handle, double shot here, tamp down, push and turn into the Expobar, turn on the manual pour, 25 seconds into a cup below, in the meantime grab a metal jug, grab some decent milk from the 'fridge, add to the jug, quickly turn off the pour, take cup out, take off handle. Pop the jug under the milk heating wand a stretch the milk, heating it and slightly frothing it, turn off at 60 deg C or until too warm on hand holding the jug. Take out, tap on bench, clean wand end with hot, clean cloth. Add milk to coffee in cup. Sit back and enjoy. Clean machine with same cloth where handle meets :)
Thanks Paul. Doesn't sound too hard to me - I'm getting one.
You won't regret it, make sure you get a good grinder too and waste say 500g of beans getting the grind set. A specialised shop will help you.
