Fiat Ducato Questions & Answers (page 4 of 5)
My Ducato 2011 Comfort-Matic transmission failed at 53000km, (loss of gears) I had hydraulic accumulator replaced, vehicle performed well.
Now after 90000 km, (at 62000km), I notice the Hydraulic Clutch Fluid cylinder is near on empty. Q. Should I top up Hydraulic fluid and keep driving or take vehicle back to repairer to ensure that faulty parts or workmanship is not the cause of loss of fluid ??>
Your guidance would be much appreciated..
Thank you, Barry J.

Can anyone help me, I have a 2003 Fiat Ducato, out of the blue it would not start, it was actually at the local garage geting a COF.
The mechanic used quick start to get it started, however a tune up, new glow plugs etc and $1400 later I still have the same problem, each time I have to use quick start and starts first pop. very frustrating! any thoughts?
Engine check light is on. Is this a common fault? what is the usual reason for this. Oil water.
You will need to read the onboard computer with a OBDII scanner. The MIL light (malfunction indicator light) comes on when a fault has registered 3 times consecutively. A code will indicate what needs looking at.
i have purchased a 2018 fiat ducato motorhome i have done 1008 kms and an intercooler hose came off i got a couple of new clamps from manta in adelaide but now engine light won't reset.
also while fitting and wiring up driving lights i blew the right side high beam light fuse replaced it and now ok.
i also have another problem when i started the vehicle it shows no gear available
spoke to manta they suggested checking fuse in engine bay which supposedly is for the pump clutch which apparently starts up as soon as you open the drivers door so the fluid is allready pumped to clutch before you start the engine.
i told them that all the fuses seemed ok they will try and think what the problem is does amyone now what causes this please so frustrating after paying $154000.00 for a new vehicle
Hi Dave, Mate to be honest i am not surprised by your experience they are just plagued with issues mainly with the drivetrain and technical sesitivity of the electrical and operating systems.

Read morer getting quite a lot of feedback and pushing for answers i was provided with some but not all the info but what i did get was alarming and to be honest disappointing given how much these things cost to purchase. The electrical system that controls the clutch actuation both the hydraulic and electrical side of it yes there is 2 different sides and they cost about $18k to replace and are a NON SERVICABLE part they are very sensitive to voltage drop and if your alternator is not producing 14.4 volts or whatever there optimum output is the trick the system to run at lower voltage and therefore everything will not operate at 100% as it should and eventually it continues to run at lower voltage and over extended time frames learns to work at these and will fail due to this issue and its a costly one given the parts for these things are horrendously expensive.I have purchased a new Fiat Ducato Motorhome October 2017, The vehicle has a suspension strut issues and Fiat Australia are unable to provide the part for another 2-3 week, The part has been on order since January 21st 2018 which I feel is unacceptable. I am worried if I drive the vehicle the issue may damage the vehicle, they are not prepared to take the part from a new vehicle to fix the problem so I can drive the vehicle. What avenues have I got to elevate the issue so I can have the replacement parts fitted?
Hi Jeff, I have 30 Oil filters in stock. Please call me if you have no luck with the strut assembly.
