OK
Have had it for 4 yrs now. Hasn't broken down yet..touch wood...but noise a bit strange. But overall I think a good fridge. Had a Westinghouse previously which lasted for 7 yrs hoping this one will last as long or longer.
Great look. Great size. Practical. Love upside down fridges. Beeping if door left open great. Love glass shelves.
Am really surprised by the bad comments like breakdowns. My only gripe would be that it does make a bit of noise unsure whether the bad comments have come from places in hotter climates than Sydney. Wonder if noise is due to buying it as floor stock.

Good
good size fridge. love the glass shelves, clean up quickly and easily. loads of room for vegies and fruit. baskets in the freezer great because you can pull thenm out and grab whats there.
it is a great fridge. practical for me as we open the fridge all day long and the freezer once or twice a day. dont have to bend down to see whats inside.
it makes a little noise which i only seem to hear at night when trying to sleep. wish it had a meat keeper as there is not really a colder spot in the fridge.

Terrible
Have had to spend lots of $$ getting it fixed and then still it isnt cold enough and especially is summer it struggles to deal with our hot climate. Will never purchase another of this brand for a fridge/freezer
Love the face freezer is on the bottom and fridge up the top. Size it is great for a bigger family. Love the cheese section and the egg part.
Isnt made for central qld climate, is never cold enough, have had major issues with fault codes where a technician from Brisbane had to come and fix it cos the companies local fridge people couldn...Read more

Excellent
We've had this fridge for over five years now and have happy with it so far - no problems. It's nice and roomy and space is never a problem and the freezer drawers are great for easy access to frozen goods. It beeps if you leave either of the doors open which has been really handy - highly recommend this fridge.
Nice and roomy and having the freezer at the bottom is great as everything you use the most is easy to reach
The stainless finish shows lots of fingerprints which isn't a problem if you don't have small children!

Terrible
Never buy this fridge. Get glass shelves - they won't crack. Make sure the door shelves are attached in a way which is not reliant on the internal moulding of the door as there is no way to fix this without replacing entire door. Get glass vege bins - they won't crack. Don't buy Fisher & Paykel appliances. Our washing machine (just after warranty ran out again!) Broke - we had to spend nearly $400 on a new computer chip!!!!!!!!! I will never buy from them again. Not happy jan.
Very few. Wide shelves for platters. Freezer at bottom - good for yo...Read more

Looks good, but looks are very deceiving. This fridge has cost me hundreds of dollars in both wasted food because it wasn't cooling properly and service calls to try and get the problems fixed. The service people are always very friendly and helpful, unfortunately in this case I feel like I've been given band-aid fixes that only really help for a few months before the same problem comes back again. I have alot of other f&p appliances but have had such a bad experience with the fridge that I would never purchase another f&p fridge again.

Good
Overall a good fridge/freezer combination for a family. I use a lot of veggies for pets and they last for a week easily.
Excellent fridge with lots of positions for the shelves including the door shelves. I had one occasion to call their service line and they had someone out the next day. I love the shelf in the freezer for ice trays and other small bits and the vegie bins are good and deep.
The only problem I've had so far is with the plastic cover for the vegetable bins. It's meant to help keep down humidity, which it does, but it's held in place by flexible tabs. After removing a few times for cleaning the tabs don't hold it in place anymore.

OK
A reasonable fridge that has given OK service. When you close the freezer door the fridge door opens which seems to indicate that the sealing unit is not great either.
Nice and wide
Shelves are a disgrace. They have cracked and can't take much weight. Each shelf costs $58 to replace!

Just bought a condo that has this refrigerator in it. There is no ice maker so we need to add one. I've searched for a part number for the ice maker unit with no luck. Is this available?
Also, would like to reverse the swing on the doors. Has anyone with this model done this, and do the doors seal okay afterward?

Can I get the plastic door seal cover from you? Is it easy to replace them? Tks

It is very difficult to make an accurate diagnosis of the specific cause without the benefit of inspecting your appliance.
If you would like to arrange a technician to attend to your refrigerator, you can call our 24-hour Customer Care Centre on 1300 650 590 and a Customer Representative will assist you with service in your area.
Alternatively, you can search for service in your area by using our online locator at the following link:
http://www.fisherpaykel.com/au/support/service-appliances#request-a-service
If there is a Fisher & Paykel technician in your area, a form will be generated which you can complete to submit a service request using our online booking facility. Otherwise, the locator will provide you with the contact details for the Authorised Service Centre(s) near your area.
