You don't get what you pay for with this one
Pros
-Double draw is great for a family; keep loading dirty dishes in one draw while the other draw is washing.
-Looks good
Cons
-So noisy. I try not to put it on when we have guests, the noises are embarrassing
-2 hour wash cycle (plus 2 hours of drying if you choose to listen to the fan)
-Dishes need to be washed thoroughly before loading them
-Cleaning needs to be performed regularly to remove scum and keep it running
-$2000 price tag. We've just moved house, and now have an old "Euro" dishwasher that costs around $450; it produces similar cleaning and drying results, but without the noise

Worked well for the last 6+ years
Not sure of correct model number
Does a decent job of washing dishes, but usually still quite wet when finished. Even with rinse aid and regular clean cycles, glasses are left streaky.
Biggest issue is it gets blocked very easily, and it is difficult to clear blockages.
It has served our family well, and been used at least twice a day for 6-7 years. We have only replaced a pump in each draw, which wasn’t overly expensive.
Difficult to get large items in.
I have been happy with the machine. When it comes time to replace it I would defin...Read more
itely buy Fisher & Paykel again, but as my family uses so many dishes I would probably get a normal dishwasher, not the dish draw. Simply because each draw uses a tablet or cleaner designed for a machine with twice the capacity. It would be nice to have more height.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

POOR QUALITY DRAW HANDLES
I have had issues with the draw handles cracking at the corners since i purchased this dishwasher. I have had FP come out three times to replace it and the first 2 installers couldn't understand Why the handle corner was chipping. The last person that came said its from the products im using to clean it. but really its just sponge and water. But now its chipped again and i made sure i used a separate cloth for the machine.
Now im stuck with an unsightly dishwasher that is only 3 yrs old. I asked them to change the handle type, but of course they wont do that. This was my first FP product. I wont be buying FP products anymore.

Bottom Handle snapped off
Very poor design with week tabs holding the handle in place. Replacement requires drawer removal and FP want half the price of a new Westinghouse to replace it!!!. I don't know why they changed the design from our previous FP which worked seamlessly for years without an issue. They have know lost us as a customer and we have many of their products in the house.

Dish Drawer
Pretty good but drawers not big enough for my large dinner plates. Quiet, but eco cycles are no good. Handle on bottom drawer broke and was not easy to fix. F & P videos do not feature handle replacement. F & P field support is too far away and too expensive. I like .the ability to use smaller loads.

Would never buy again and regret having done so
I have to wash by hand at least 30 percent of all items and the water bill has gone through the roof. Absolute rubbish a cheaper model would have been far better. It is not quiet cannot be loaded efficiently as the draws are sized all wrong and there is no room for mugs.

Crap. Don't Buy One
We have owned a number of dishwashers over the years, this double dish drawer was the most expensive so I expected it actually work.
It doesn't.
You only have to have a spoon handle or plate edge slip through the cage and the arm won't go around, the whole cycle (water, power, tablet, and time) is wasted. You would this there would be an alarm of some type that would sound to say the arm is obstructed.
The lower drawer is so noisy, you can't have it on and be watching tv at the same time, and our kitchen is miles from the lounge!!
The SS face plates are both loose after coming unhooked at the bottom so now the front looks twisted.
This is only 3 years old and I'm looking to replace it.

very noisy
Cons : Is a good dishwasher, but is so noisy. I can hear it from upstairs in my 400 metre squared house. Noise is unbearable and sounds like a charft cutter at times.
Very poor build quality. plastic that scratches easy,
Pros: Washes dishes very well
would recommend buying if you like to replace them every year or so, product is not built to last long at all.

Great dishwasher but they had to send someone out to fix it within a month
Love this dishwasher. We have a gully kitchen so it is perfect as you don't have to bring the whole door down and people can get past easily.
Only one issue was that the top drawer element broke within the first month which was a little annoying, but they did send a technician to fix it straight away under warranty. We've now had it for a year and it's been perfect. Cleans very well.
It's also quiet and very simple to use.

Great cleaning machine.
I've had this dishwasher for about 3 years now and am still very happy with it. In the beginning it didn't seem to clean very well but after reading the manual I realised I was over crowding it when stacking, once I'd learnt how to stack it properly it's been great. I can fit more into the two drawers than I could in my old upright dishwasher.
I love the two drawer options so I can quickly wash plates and cutlery on a half hour clean and also put pots on a longer, hotter clean at the same time.
It has been the quietest dishwasher I've ow...Read more
ned, even on the longer pot and pan washes. All I hear is the swishing of water every now and then. I also like how easily the plate stands and cutlery holder come out so I can put in large items. Overall I'd happily recommend this dishwasher to anyone, I can't even think of any negatives even after 3 years of almost daily use.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Absolutely no complaints
We have had our double dishdrawer for going on 3 years, built in at a slightly higher level than normal . Easy to load, especially the top drawer, and quiet operation. We generally don't rinse plates unless they are very dirty, and use the fast (and eco) cycle with good results. We don't overload. We have 3 single dishdrawers in rental properties up to 6 years old with no problems reported. We are so pleased with the units that we will replace a 10 year old Westinghouse in another rental property with another double dishdrawer.

Absolute rubbish
These 2-drawer Fisher & Paykel dishwashers should be withdrawn from the market. They do not clean dishes properly, and they do not allow most main dishes to be used. We flogged ours after six months and have gone back to Asko which we love. We left ours in our last house and should have bought Asko again. Now we have.

Worst dishwasher ever had!!!
We purchased the latest 2 draw dishwasher brand new 6 months ago. The reason we chose F&P was because 2 others in my family had purchased F&P dishwashers in the paste. They were quiet machines, well built & lasted up to 10 years. So, we decided to get the 2 draw one as we had just moved house & needed to purchase a reliable one that would sterilise dishes due to starting chemo. Straight from the start we had problems with the dishes not being dried or cleaned properly. My other concern was that the temperature was not hot enough to sterilise th...Read more
e dishes. We contacted the rep a couple of times who came out & said that the reason it wasn't cleaning & drying the dishes properly was that we needed to use rinse aid. Then when we were still having problems with the temperature not being hot enough, even when I put a plastic disposable cup to see if it would melt, it came out as I had put it in, which I might add any other dishwasher would have melted. The next time the rep came out I explained about the temperature not being hot enough, his reply was that this newer model had been designed to run optimal efficiency. My reply to that was what's the point if it doesn't sterilize the dishes, he then ran a test to test the temperature. Yet the test he ran he didn't run the fill cycle he stopped it when it got to 50 deg & said that was OK & that he didn't have the time to run the full cycle amusing it would get up to 70 deg if he did. My response was that the test proved nothing & it was a waste of time unless he was going to do it properly. The service was not helpful at all. They would not admit that this dishwasher didn't work as it was advertised. F&P have it totally wrong they have compromised the so-called efficiency of the machine to the point that it doesn't do what it was designed to do: clean & sterilise dishes! Up till now, we have been too busy to take it further due to my illness. I will be doing something about it now.1 comment

cleaned properly would be due to using the Eco cycle & that domestic machines do not sterilize dishes. My response to that was that I never use the Eco cycle & only use the Heavy Cycle. Maybe my use of the word sterilize was inappropriate, all I know is that there are still germs on dishes that haven't been cleaned properly! The final outcome to this conversation was that we should go back to Harvey Normans as we are still in in our 1st years warranty & exchange the dishwasher due to it not being suitable for the job we purchased it for (washing dishes clean). F&P stand by this dishwasher & will not admit fault in this product what so ever, all I can say is to anyone who is looking at buying a F&P draw dishwasher to stay clear of Model; DD60DCW7 2 DRAW DISHWASHER. As it is not a cheap product to purchase, in this case you don't always get what you pay for.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

No problems at all with the much maligned F&P dual drawer dishwasher
We have had the F&P DD60DCW7 "Classic" dual drawer dishwasher for nearly 2 years now and are very happy with it. It was delivered and installed by F&P's own technicians who were excellent. The User Guide for the dishwasher was very comprehensive.
We take care to follow the recommendations about stacking and packing the dishwasher, and rinsing off solid food residues - this all takes a little longer but is well worth it.
The F&P technicians said we should use the bottom drawer at least once a week (which we do), to keep the seals etc in go...Read more
od working order. This presumes that people use the top drawer more often, which we do because it is easier to reach into. Although one of the F&P technicians said we should use powder detergent, the other said we could drop a detergent tablet in the cutlery basket with the little slotted compartment cover in place (middle of the basket). We do the latter and have never used the detergent dispenser built into the door. The User Guide says you can use powder OR tablet, as long as the tablet does not come into contact with dishes or cutlery. We make sure that the cutlery basket compartment holding the detergent tablet, is not obstructed by cutlery etc, The User Guide says the tablet should be placed on top of the slotted cover but putting it underneath it in the compartment works just fine for us. We have been using top quality FInish and Fairy dishwasher tablets, which we buy up when they come on "special" at the supermarket. We have never used the Aldi brand of dishwasher tablet but this may be OK too. Powder may be cheaper but tablets are more convenient - there is also no problem with the detergent dispenser door not opening due to obstruction, and/or not being washed out properly. We also use Finish rinse aid. We live in Brisbane and have not had to use a water softener.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I've had enough!!!
I purchased a property with a Fisher & Paykel twin DishDrawer already installed. The previous owners would have had to make a significant financial sacrifice to purchase this product and I was baffled to understand why they would be happy to leave it behind. I now understand why. This dishwasher had been nothing but trouble. It's flooded my kitchen on several occasions. After repeated call outs I have had the motor rotors and the control board replaced. The F1 and F2 error codes are commonplace on my display panel. One only has to google Fisher...Read more
& Paykel DishDrawer faults will confirm the unreliability of this product. If you are still not convinced you can simply search on gumtree where there are many broken Fisher & Paykel DishDrawers being sold by frustrated owners because their machines are not viable to repair. A salesman has told me the the latest generation of DishDrawers have a lower failure rate, but I'm not taking the risk. For me, the unreliability of the DishDrawer is just too bothering. I'll redesign my kitchen to accommodate a Bosch Dishwasher. Fisher & Paykel's reputation is tarnished from realising this substandard product. I will never trust them again.Similar opinion? Not good
Purchased this in May. Does not clean dishes at all well. My sister told me to ensure that I do not use it on 'echo'. Helped a bit! Doesn't complete the cycle but gets stuck at one spot. Fisher and Paykel will take a week to send a service person. Am very disappointed. Last d'washer was trouble free Asko. Had it for fourteen years. Wish I had bought another. -they were cheaper too! Will not buy another F & P product.
Not much.
Doesn't clean dishes. Doesn't complete cycle. Service slow and no one seems to care!

DishDrawers for life!
After my previous DishDrawer of over 12 years decided to stop working (the top drawer stopped and wasn't worth investing more $$$ into an old machine to get it to work again), we upgraded to the latest DishDrawer and I am very happy with our decision.
Our previous DishDrawer was wonderful to use (and we only had 2 call-outs for repair in those 12 years), but these new ones have definitely improved with the little things: adjustable height shelves, racks that can be adjusted for bowl size and flattened for pots/big items, more cutlery basket ...Read more
"real estate" and the ability to use dishwashing tablets (which I don't use, but was never able to use with the older machine). There have been several times where I stood and listened to the machine to check it is working because it is much quieter than our old machine, a definite improvement when you need dishes washed: no need to choose dishwashing or TV, you can do both! ;) Although it is more expensive than many dishwashers, I have always appreciated having access to two dishwashers so there is always one empty to fill with dishes while the other washes. My life has changed in 12 years from being a young married 20-something to having 4 young children and many things to juggle... having a dishwasher at hand to fill at any given time is invaluable! It is a thumbs up from me and my 3 year old whom likes emptying the cutlery from the bottom drawer... :) Flexibility of having two dishwashers, quiet, economical, lovely to look at!2 comments

Never again
Have to clean dishes before and after use most days, it also constantly has errors requiring either a repair man or hours of dismantling. I probably pull it a part every 6 weeks to fix it. F1 error, f2 error, flooding that requires moping and an hair dryer. Plastic parts that break, doesn't dry properly etc etc ectc
I like the idea of a dish drawer for convenient half loads after breakfast etc
Kept breaking, and poor job at cleaning

makes too much noise, doesn't dry glasses or cups properly and if you have a slightly oversized plate the water spindle hits it while it spins. Really disappointing and will get rid of my brand new one on ebay and get something else,
