F&P, beware of copies flooding onto market when patent runs out!
Best designed dishwasher on the market. We are onto our second(due to moving house, no fault of the unit) and to be honest we did have some issues with the one in our last house, but every time F&P repaired it under warranty, to their credit. Its just the design that's the killer punch, no bending over to load, or sliding trays out. Does a perfect job.

Great Product but lousy back up from Fisher Paykel
Nothing negative about dishwasher however backup from Plumber who installed dishwasher on an angle with gaps either side causing top dishwasher off balance and who is fine about his installation work. Pathetic response from Fisher Paykel who will only send Technician out if they charge us. All we wanted was a Technician to come out and confirm poor installation. One would think a head office would want to make sure their products are being represented to the public by follow up of serious enquiries. Love the product but so sad such poor customer service from FP. Dishwasher still unbalanced.

Convenient, quiet & easy
We have had and still have a Fisher & Paykel double drawer dishwasher. We bought this new one for my sons family as they had an old Fisher & Paykel single door dishwasher. It is actually quieter than our one that is now six years old but ours still going perfectly well. I fitted this new one myself as I fitted mine after we sacked the Fisher & Paykel technician who was absolutely hopeless. He is the expert but couldn’t even fit it level. He also left a loose part in the drive mechanism which jammed and caused an electrical smell. He and Fisher ...Read more
& Paykel refused to replace the dishwasher for a new one (as it was a new one and I didn’t think I had to accept it as his incompetence had stressed the motor enough to cause an electrical smell coming from the machine. I finally got it replaced after I contacted consumer affairs and the retailer. I then fitted it myself and it was square & worked perfectly. So I would always fit them myself. Great machines but I couldn’t recommend Fisher & Paykel’s customer service.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Cheap and nasty very short lifespan
I'm forced to get F&P dshdrawers or remdrl an entire area of my kitchen. Such a shame because it's a great concept and when they work they are great but 3 dishwashers used only about 5 times a week in 11 years? Well n excess of 15 repair calls across them all in this time too. Sorry not good enough. And the last year ie one day out of warranty the unit is in full temper tantrum mode. All the common problems listed come at once, won't drain properly, needs 2 wash cycled to ge things clean, plastic dish components and handle break, pump goes, flo...Read more
od switch activated. F&P used to have good reeasonable service and repair model which saved them but now that is only 20% cheaper than a new one at sale price. Apparently last time I used too much detergent, the $450 fix was to leave a stranger in my home while I went out to buy full cream milk which he then poured in on a rinse cycle and that was it. No advice to try that myself when I called. I'm also sure that F&P contractors do Install properly as each new serviceman says that's the issue even though all have been installed by F&P own providers!

Doesn't seem to completely clean the dishes if full
We bought this from a friend at Betta Electrical to replace my sister's old Fisher Paykel Dishdrawer which was not working anymore. They were recommending a different brand (Bosch) but we thought this would be easier and it would fit perfectly. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to clean all the dishes if the rack is completely full which may be due to the design. Looks nice and is quiet otherwise

Drying Fan stays on for hours.
This is my first time with a double drawer and had good recommendations before purchasing the new model in the last month .
All aspects good but the drying fan stays on for hours after the wash is complete even on long and short cycles. I am not happy with this.

Pretty good for small family
Waited a while for this to be launched when we were advised that the previous ones were being run out.
Very little difference noted. Went for the dishdrawer as we are a family of 3.
Size pretty good for a days dishes (breakfast and dinner). Can't get the pots in with them though. Big knives and spoons also difficult with a full load.
After some experimenting with various tabs and locations for the tab, we found it to be cleaning well. First ones weren't being used up.
Relatively quiet in operation. Only the draining is a bit noisy but that ...Read more

This is the second Double dishdraw that we have had, the first one was one of the original stainles
Easy to stack, simple controls, excellent time settings, very low water consumption . in fact it has all the same features as the old one but the system is improved performance wise . and there is no noise it is hard to tell if it is washing . the timer setting is an extra advantage allowing for dishes to be washed to suit family schedule .

Best Dishwasher ever
I'm not partial to F&P products, there are other brands I prefer for Fridges, Washing Machines etc but you simply cannot go past the dish draw. You don't have to bend over to load it, you can have two running independently of each other, does what it is meant to do and that's clean and dry your dishes (so long as you rinse first esp. for things like egg, cereal - which is the same with all dishwashers), and the cycles are not ridiculously long!

Very Happy
Quiet, with improved controls and drawer handles over the 10 year double dishdrawer model it replaced.
Now that the controls have moved from the inside top of each drawer to the outside of the top drawer there is less likelihood of water ingress. My workplace has the model before this and we have had issues with how the flush handles are attached as they have broken. This has been addressed with the handle design of this model.
In addition to looking stylish this double dishdrawer washes and dries effectively. It is easy to wipe clean and empty the filters.

Makes life easier
This is our third dish drawer in 20 years and it's the best. It's very quiet and washes well.
There are a couple of downsides. The electronic timer sometimes adds extra time and also you have to be careful to activate the right drawer if you have opened both before starting the wash.

So convenient to use
Works well but must not pack too tight. Easy to load and unload. This is my second dishdrawer and love them. Fairly quiet - the countdown is great to project when cycle is finished and small effective load means you can run during day and again at end of day. Can insert more items once cycle started without being sprayed with dishwasher fluid, since all is held in a tub.

Not 100% convinced on F & P
Whilst this NEW dishwasher model is super quiet and cleans well, I think we would have done better to have chosen a pull-down door style. Whilst the drawers look streamline and modern they can limit what size crockery you use. With the larger style plates on offer these days and this what I have I am finding I really have to think about how the dishwasher is loaded to make use of the space, the plates have to tilt forward so the unit slides open and closes. I think if I had to decide between this and the traditional dishwasher I would go with the later!

Glad its part of my Family
This Dishwasher is great, My old one used to be a nightmare to clean. Kids would put there plates in without rinsing sometimes so the food juice or scrap would go down between the door and the unit where hinges are. Now without the conventional door this is a breeze to keep clean and no hidden nooks and crannies.

Bitterly Disappointed
Not happy! Only had this machine for 3 days, it doesn't clean everything, and I have followed the instructions given. It is a struggle to get cereal bowls in and just found out that can't get my square dinner plates in, What a waste of time. I moaned about my last Dishlex dishwasher (25 years old) but wish I had it back. I pushed to get this dishwasher and now it has left me feeling frustrated and cranky/

A massive disappointment
I am so disappointed as I cannot fit my dinner plates into the draws. I had to purchase other plates and still had to remove side panels for the smaller dinner plates to fit.
It offers some wonderful new features but they are totally useless as you need to remove these to accommodate the dinner plates. The whole interior appears to be very squashy to allow for these features that you cannot use.
And yes it runs quietly.

Hi, I bought my double dish drawer in November 2022 and have not at all been happy with it. I had an earlier model years ago that was fantastic hence the reason to purchase this one again. I used finish dishwasher tablets in the basket (on tray provided) and found there was often still some of the tablet left after the wash and the dishes were not clean. I have tried different wash cycles and no difference. Top and bottom drawer both the same. I have since changed to finish powder which is better (not usually left over after wash) however quite often the dishes are still dirty. I rinse the dishes well before stacking and do not over stack. I have also cleaned the filters regularly. I am not sure what else to try. Any suggestions? I am so unhappy with this dishwasher.
