The servicing is a real issue
Bought this fridge a couple of years back, mainly because we were limited in what brand models would fit in the kitchen space.
Within a few months we had a problem with the bottom freezer section-completely icing up on the outside of the inner cabinets. Shards of ice.
We rang and no serviceman was available for 5 days.
That's not very good, not for an item like a fridge.
He came out, said he had never seen anything like it and went around the seal, put that back on with silicon sealant etc

ccasional misty/almost ice in the freezer at times but it comes and goes. Then about a week or so ago I noticed the milk and cheese did not feel all that cold when I took them out of the fridge. I had not changed any settings from what had been suggested by the technician that first repair time. Bought a fridge thermometer and sure enough, fridge temp is at 15c-19c no matter what settings we put it on.2 comments
Fridge was unrepairable. Was replaced with same size but updated model, slightly different style. I am pleased the company did that instead of just continuing to patch up a dud.

Extremely unhappy with service
I bought this after doing research on reliability and it had some good reviews. Unfortunately the first fridge I bought didn't actually work AT ALL! So I called for a service under warranty. Great that they have a 24/7 call centre with real people, but would be better if they spent the money on more technicians - the earliest they can come and look at this lemon was a week later. Luckily the initial purchase was within the cooling off period so I returned it (to 2nds World) and got another one from the Good Guys, as it was the only fridge on the market that met all my needs. Second time around all is working well after a couple of months and I'm happy with the fridge, just hope I don't need to call on F&P for repairs.

fridge door won't shut
i am not happy with fridge despite us choosing this from the choice magazine as one of the best fridges. the door won't shut, it needs to be shut manually
i hate this
the company said that there was not free guarantee for this
that this is the way the fridge is. we tried adjusting the feet to level it etc etc. but nothing has worked until this moment.

Apalling quality - Brand New - 3 weeks lowest fridge temperature 8 degresss
Purchased a new Fisher and Paykel fridge early December 2014 - worked well at first but within 3 weeks the lowest temperature the fridge compartment could achieve was 8 degrees. Ran - through day use - at 10 degrees and above. (all measured by multiple thermometers - in various parts of the cabinet) Freezer would not fully freeze water. This refrigerator replaced another Fisher and Paykel which was well and truly no star in the refrigeration ability stakes. Excellent Fridge
My fridge is white, I previously owned an earlier model F&P Active Smart with no complaints. I considered some other brands and did lots of researching on the internet including Product Review. Was going to by a Samsung which was more energy efficient and great design inside. When I was in the store comparing various brands in the same category, in white, they all looked ugly and a bit cheap and some of the metal seemed thin and the door handles felt like they could bend or come loose. this fridge for 4 months now, I have found it excellent in every way, quiet, ergonomic design, and pleasing looks. The door hinge has a cam that applies a more positive closing action which feels great, it just means you do actually have to close it, not just swing it. d get a call within 24 hours to arrange pick up. In the meantime, to take care with food storage. (not sure how as we only have one fridge) But we did not hear from them at all till I rang headquarters a week later to complain about the delay. Even then they said they would pick up next day but didn't till 48 hours later.
